I suspect the match rate is skewed because of the high number of pros, semi pros and LBs. I haven't checked Tinder but it was like that on other similar sites.

“It used to be that, if I wasn’t OK with myself, she was going to make me OK with myself – because she’s beautiful, because she likes me. But if she doesn’t like me or respond to me, then I’m not OK, I’m a failure. The goal now is really to be OK with yourself, to not need anything else. And maybe once you’re OK with yourself, you can see people as they are, without them having to give commentary on who you are or what your status is.” Is that statement really blue pill?

I don't get it, you seem so butthurt you are not living in authentic Thailand way out of the beaten track, where no tourist ever comes. You can repeat the same crap post after post, that doesn't make it true. The island is tiny. It is a spot on the map. Tourist comes to the Island. They sleep in hotels. Hotels are scattered all around the Island, even on the north, which you think is a secluded area ( http://i.imgur.com/H4aDksp.png ). Therefore, you are living in a major tourist spot. When did I…

Jeez you have reading comprehension. Yes I live in Phuket but I don't claim it is not touristy, I am aware it is, and so is Koh Phangan. You're just in denial thinking it isn't. And I know very well those places are not representative of Thailand at all. FFS your island is like 15km wide, how can you even say it is rural? I'm also not saying all the girls working or living in a touristy place are bar girls (I was just referring to your bar manager). Many of the girls who hang out with farangs ha…

Basically in this thread you talked about Koh Phangan, Pai, Koh Tao, Khao San rd and Phuket. All super touristy places and in the backpacker trail. Doesn't mean you are a backpacker. Just a clueless tourist. Also you seem to think that a place is not "touristy" when it's not crawling with millions of tourists. A bit weird but you haven't probably seen much of the country. Move a bit and you'll see that you can't make much touristy than Koh Phangan. I didn't say you were fucking a bargirl, but an…

I have been living in Thailand for the last 8 years and I know exactly what I'm talking about. You on the other hand seem to have a tunnel vision of the country limited by the lonely planet "top things to do". Koh Phangan is a tiny island. It's 100% dedicated to tourism. Before any tourist came here there were a few fishermen and some coconut plantations and that's it. Who gives a fuck if the hotels are below 40% occupancy? That just means they built too much of them! Hotels are everywhere on th…

They are mostly playing the long term game. Getting upgraded from fuck friend to official girlfriend will get them free food and free accommodation in villa with aircon and a private swimming pool, much better than their shitty 10sqm room with a fan. If the relationship doesn't last, they can hop on the next available young guy that comes in, there is no shortage of them with all the muay thai guys or online freelancers who come to live in the country. At worst if they can't manage to live in wi…

/u/rustylantern is spot on. Koh Phangan is a major tourist hotspot. Chiang Mai, Pai and Koh Tao are also super touristy. How did you avoid touristy areas while staying in touristy areas, I don't know. The behaviour of those girls you are describing is typical of the "mia farang" thai girl. They are mostly playing the long con, to be upgraded from gik to official girlfriend to possibly wife.

Actually you keep what you got before the marriage but share 50/50 everything earned afterwards.

I have to say it feels pretty good to see the greedy vultures lose the totality of their investment. The greedy ex-wife is now in the deep shit too, she will run out of other people's money pretty soon and with huge lawsuit on her back, her future looks quite grim.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
