You don't understand. 30% hasn't become 23%. If a woman makes $38,500 and a man makes $50,000, then she makes 23% less than him. And he makes 30% more than her. It's a matter of perspective. Claiming that women earn 30% less than men is so far beyond mental gymnastics that I have to assume you are maliciously spreading lies. There are a lot of different factors and the $0.78 for every dollar a man makes is simply adding all the money women in the country make and dividing by the number of hours women worked, and then adding all the money men in the country make and dividing by all of their hours. I had a conversation at work with two women where I suggested that men not be able to send messages as a way to fix the site. The women who are only there fishing for compliments would go away.
