I'm sorry. I didn't look at the forum I was posting in. My life is going swimmingly. I decided to practice gratitude a long time ago. I'm where I need to be with myself and for my kids, and improving everyday. I should start pushing for him to finish the paperwork he started, but I didn't want to be a nag because that only causes me problems. He's got diagnosed NPD.

My stbxh started dating before he bothered to even tell me we were getting divorced. Obviously that pissed me off, but once he filed and moved out he got a girlfriend immediately. I feel bad for her because he denied her existence for months to try and keep me on the back burner; he can't be alone. I don't care. I actually appreciate it because she distracts him while I get my ducks in a row. I don't like that she distracts him from actually finishing the divorce, but as long as he's not trying …

I'm sorry I might not be a man, but God damn does this shit apply to my situation. It's literally the exact same story.

This is so right! She was definitely sexually involved with this guy when she said she wasn't and just because it blew up in her face, you should feel obligated to take her back and feel guilty for moving on? Absolutely not. She made choices and you need to get away from her because she is selfish, emotionally immature, and trying to manipulate you. Run bro! As far as your feet will take you. Edit: I know this is the men's subreddit and I apologize. I, however, cannot keep my mouth shut on this …

Exactly. Everybody has to try in a relationship. I have learned that communication is extremely important. That's why I'm having a hard time lately. He has a lot of expectations of me and Im questioning my boundaries with him now. He's expecting me to give him diapers and essentially everything he needs to take care of the kids, but I don't feel like it's my responsibility to do that and he is the one that chose this. Thanks. I learned a long time ago to just take responsibility for things. It m…

I know my faults. Even though I didn't yell, nag, and scream I still know I had a part to play. It's unfortunate. He's always told me that relationships are supposed to just work, so I always felt like I was doing more than I should and it translated into my attitude towards him... not the best way of me to handle it. I have grown a lot since even before the separation, but I don't think I should pity him because it was ultimately his choice. He cheated, was vile about it, didn't give me any ind…

Not at all. I hated my life and I didn't show him the affection I'm sure he wanted, but didn't speak on. I was too busy keeping things together to care. I also stopped taking care of myself because I was caring for everyone else. He'd also spent years telling me I was annoying for trying to be too affectionate, so I assumed he was ok without it. There was a huge lack of communication on both our parts. It wasn't ideal, but at least I was trying. I was just trying to pour from an empty cup and I …

As a woman who knows this is a reality for most divorced men, I'm not feeling very much pity for my stbx who chose this path for himself. I didn't cheat, he did, so why does he expect my sympathy? Honest question. I should also mention I didn't yell or nag him. If anyone did, it was him. I didn't ask him to do anything because I wasn't willing to fight with him.

As someone who went through this same exact situation with someone exactly the same, your mental health will improve drastically if you tell her to move out. Don't get me wrong, my stbxh, who initiated this process, is still expecting a lot from me. I just tell him no at this point. When he complains, I tell him he's on his own because that's what he wanted. For example, we have kids and he expects me to provide everything for them when they go to his house. He's taking them, maybe 7% of the tim…

I'm in California and it's 50/50 if it was established inside the marriage. Even if it was before, your both on it and technically commingled, so anything put in during the marriage is 50/50. Sorry. Probably not what you wanted to hear.

She sounds awful and it sounds like you were abused. Pretty sure you're not the narcissistic one here. I would act fast because having been married to a highly narcissistic person he's making the divorce process as long and annoying as he can. The divorce he signed up for mind you.

I could go through all the shit he did, but it's over and it only makes me the "crazy, bitter ex-wife". The whole thing is messed up, but I'm happy where I'm at. He is not. Wether I'm alone or not, my life is a beautiful thing and I get to have my kids 95% of the time. I will proceed with caution in the romantic sphere if that happens, and dumb dumb bought himself a new car right before he filed, so I kept the bank account; he's also gotta buy me out of some things still. I'll be making more tha…

I was raised to use my brain. I'm married on paper, but that should change in a couple of months, and no, I'm not the one who abandoned my marriage.

Sorry if I'm overstepping here in the men's forum, but as a female emotional translator she most definitely is having another man's baby and she knows it. Or she's completely delusional about the difficulties in raising a child by yourself. I can say, with almost 100% certainty it's the latter. Edit: The former.... the first one. My bad.

Unfortunately any agreements regarding who your ex brings around your children once you're divorced, is not really enforceable. My ex thought that he was going to be running background checks on anybody I was with. I only suggested that we wait 6 months into a relationship to introduce the children so they don't get attached and hurt.

I love having the peace and quiet too. I can do projects undisturbed and without children climbing up my leg. I don't have to hear my stbx talk about himself. I can take time to properly pluck my eyebrows and let my facial set. Best thing.... I can use all the hot water for myself. It's fabulous! No complaints. Now if I could only get the stbx to take the kids the whole weekend. I could get so much more done.

I wouldn't. She'll probably also move on faster, so unless you want to be heartbroken watching her Sancho walk in, just don't.

I came to get the male perspective, and stayed because men make more sense to me. I understand that men are also emotional and sensitive too. I appreciate that and I really really appreciate the logic I find in this sub. Edit: The post portion didn't load before I commented. That being said, I am getting divorced (not my choice) and I have come to realize that I married an emotionally stunted man child. We had no business getting married. I just don't think I was as objective as I should have be…

As a woman, I do this too. I'm just trying to understand men's perspective. I think the system favors women and it does piss me off... especially knowing that women file false allegations and get away with it. It disgusts me. Not gonna lie... I'm starting to think many women are trash to be honest. I don't want to take advantage of the system so I see how men feel about things I'm currently thinking about. I'm not the one who decided to end my marriage to be clear as well. I did accidently comme…

I feel for you. It's how I found out my marriage was over, but it was a 4 month training. He never told me anything. He just came home mad at me and eventually blew up. Honestly, let it go. You can't make it work when you're the only one trying. I get that you have kids, but don't try to keep her there. It'll only hurt you and eventually you'll regret that decision. If she wants to leave, let her. Figure out what YOU really want in life, write it down, and plan it out. It helped me take my mind …

Having a lawyer as a parent, no. They're narcissistic vampires.

I get it. Just remember that y'all got divorced for a reason, so there's no reason to add a child to the co-parenting situation regardless of how well you get along now. Babies do not make relationships better, they make them more complicated. It's ultimately y'all's decision, but there's a lot of unknowns that no legal document can ever cover.

we would have to have sex She can go to the sperm bank and you can get a surrogate if you both really want more siblings for your son. I get adding one instead of two, but y'all are divorced for a reason. Don't add that drama to your life. It's a horrible idea.

I'm sorry I'm a female in the men's divorce forum (I'm curious what y'all think in regards to divorce), but what the actual fuck!!!! This is why I have one female best friend and refuse to widen my circle. I'm so sorry that you delt with that. It's a lot.

Why would someone do this if they're the one that discarded you? I feel like it's manipulation.

The reality check is brutal so he's refusing to face it. We could have at least gone to therapy, but he didn't want to. Now I don't either. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm pretty sure that my stbxh was also thinking this way. I had to tell him that I am not living with a man who has divorced me and I did not know what the hell he was thinking. I feel like he wanted the benefits of having me live with him while not having to commit. And then I think about it more and think that's just crazy and I have no idea why he would assume that was ok.

I will never understand it either. I'm starting to think that maybe they have personality disorders. I just want my half, alimony until I can get my career back on track (I've been a sahm and I'll need 2ish more years of school and an internship. It's less than half the length of the marriage.), and child support because I know he won't take the kids more than every other weekend. It's fair considering I didn't make the decision to be a sahm myself and I need to have a decent job to support myse…

Please just divorce her. She doesn't deserve your full financial support anymore, so cute her off. As for your daughter, your ?wife? has climbed in her head and she's a brat. Stop buying her things she isn't grateful for and doesn't deserve. As for your son, see if he wants to live with you "because things will be tight around his mom's" until your court ordered to pay her anything. Please just be done with the marriage already. Stop trying to care for the ungratefuls and only give them what a j…

You'd think that after seeing she has a file of BS allegations against men she's had intimate relationships with, they'd start to look at her. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I just filed my response today and something inside me says I'm in for a wild ride soon. I think my stbxh thought I'd roll over. I know he scores high on the narcissistic spectrum and I'll bet your stbx (🤞🙏🤞) is too if she's willing to go as far as she is.

Maybe her getting a raised interest rate and monthly payment will calm her down a bit.... put her in her place a little. This woman seems crazy spiteful.
