My wife stays at home to watch the children and I think the main thing is just that you need to be on same page with your partner and committed to what is best for the family. If your goal is to raise children, that’s great and certainly not a money grubbing decision, especially if you’re also willing to contribute to the family financially. My wife watches another child in addition to our own two plus she’s getting into doula work now that the kids aren’t nursing any longer. In terms of the fut…

There’s a bunch of subs dedicated to this kind of thing. /r/TryingForABaby for example. My wife and I tried for two full years before we ended up getting pregnant. It’s really a crapshoot. But now we have two beautiful girls. We got pregnant shockingly fast after the first one. We weren’t quite expecting it to be so soon after the first one took so long, but I guess that’s just how it goes. It all worked out great in the end. I know my wife went through a lot emotionally. It’s really tough and y…

From one man to another, break it off. If she was the one, you’d know. You’d be saving yourself a lot of headache in the long run, trust me.

Honestly, this is a much better response than whatever random celebrity. Real, solid advice. I have two kids myself (almost 2 and 3.5) and my wife looks amazing, and is now at her wedding weight - pretty much by following all of the same things you said. I think a lot of women put themselves in too deep of a hole by eating horribly while pregnant. It seems like it's expected that pregnant women will just down tons of junk food all day. My wife took eating healthy very seriously, as proper nutrit…

What is your husband's stance on your weight? Is this as big of an issue for him as it is for you?

Realistically you don’t want to date someone within a month from their breakup from a relationship this long. Whether they realize it or not, their feelings are going to be all mixed up between their old flame and you. You don’t want to start out with everything being a comparison between his ex and you in his mind. You deserve for it to be about you, not her. I’d keep things light for a while, maybe try to plan a date for a few weeks from now. But by all means, go for it. Good luck.

You'll get there. I don't think there's any hard and fast rules about when to voice things, you'll just have to see how he responds to different ways of voicing your concerns and frequency. The important thing to remember is to present things in a way that makes him feel valued and respected. Men love to solve problems so hopefully you can frame things in a way that lets him be the hero. If done properly, you can turn these situations into positives for his self esteem and happiness in the relat…

This isn't really about agreeing or disagreeing. It seems like you're just struggling to voice concerns in a way that is respectful to your husband. You're acting like the only thing you could have done was to tell him where to put the bag. Instead maybe say that maybe you're just being silly but it makes you nervous and let him voice a solution. This way you can agree with him and thank him when he puts your fears to rest with a better bag placement. It's not about staying quiet all the time. I…

I definitely agree that "equal" is a terrible word to use for a successful relationship. How do you know if something is "equal," anyway? By keeping score - which is one of the things that destroys relationships. I've seen my sister-in-law drive away plenty of good men by keeping constant track. Each person's relationship needs should be met, but that's not necessarily a truly equal exchange.

Here's a quick test she can do to prove that these people are obnoxious hypocrites: tell them that someone you know is becoming stay at home father and see how they react. These people are so fucking crazy that they think a SAHM is terrible and a SAHD is great - despite the fact that women are far better equipped to be caregivers.

The point about mental well being is extremely accurate. If anyone wants to see the horror show that results from a lack of sex, check out /r/incels or /r/DeadBedrooms - these people are literally losing their minds.

The main thing that I get from this post is that your husband told you directly that how he feels is not a reflection on you and you chose to not believe him. If you're not going to listen to what your husband has to say, it makes having a heart to heart conversation impossible.

Considering the mother is religious and traditional, you might want to find out what kind of Christmas decorations she favors - maybe give a nice ornament for the tree as a hostess gift.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
