I agree it's important to have that skill. I have some background in day game/pick up and it comes in handy when I have to seal the deal on tinder. I know a lot of people do it like that on trp. My strategy is unorthodox but has been so brutally successful and efficient that it's almost unfair. Of course, a prerequisite is knowing how to escalate via text and investing some time doing that. Speaking from personal experience, I think this can be a mistake. I've reached out to multiple plates that hadn't responded in a month and we'd pick back up.
