1	Almost 60 approaches. Was bold/direct. Never got a date. Most ostracize/distrust/creep shame me. (college) Wow there is already a LOT of advice here. To keep it short and simple, invest in yourself and let it happen more organically. Girls have huge trust barriers in our generation for the most part. Joining clubs and pursuing your own interests will put you around girls who share your interests, see you as independent for it, and you'll be around them enough to hold a couple conversations and build a little rapport before going for the actual date.
