Are you implying that behavior plays no role in depression? Are you implying that health and mental wellbeing aren’t linked? I made several concessions throughout my post that there ARE cases to whom what I’m saying doesn’t apply and yet you’re still up in arms about this. All I’m saying is that for the vast majority of cases, obesity can be managed via lifestyle changes, and those same lifestyle changes have a dramatic effect on depression. Please find me any study or any physician that says ot…

That just depends on where you stand on whether or not depression is something that is intrinsic or something that you can control with your own behavior. These are both, in my mind, an issue of “which came first”. Most people think the hypothyroidism is causing their obesity, when in fact, the obesity caused their hypothyroidism (this applies to most but not all hypothyroidism)... but I also feel like most people with depression who live a sedentary lifestyle and don’t take care of themselves b…

No, but the vast, vast, vast majority of people who are overweight are overweight due to poor diet and lack of exercise. The thyroid thing is HILARIOUSLY overblown. A prolonged period of obesity leads to desensitization of TSH receptors leading to hypothyroidism. So, yes, it can become more difficult to lose weight after you’ve been overweight for a long time... but the reason most people are overweight in the first place is from poor diet and lack of exercise.

I’m in my 30’s and primarily date girls from 19-22. They tend to be not only more attractive... but more fun and, in my experience, better girlfriends. I feel less weird about dating a 19 year old than I did when I was 21. Date who you wanna date and ignore the haters. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, who gives a shit?

Reading the responses to this post... Damn is online dating REALLY this bad for most people? It’s gotten way worse in the past few years, but it’s still a pretty simple, low effort way to meet a few girls here and there worth talking to. I feel like most guys just need to put a little more thought into their pics and approach on there.

Yeah I’m not a devout redpiller, but my experience was the usual oneitis, getting cheated on, being pathetic, blah blah blah... then I decided to say “fuck trying to please others” and worked on myself instead. I was already a reasonably fit guy, but putting real dedication into fitness and game led to me having around 10 sexual encounters per week (between 2 or 3 different girls that changed week to week). Personally, this got really old, really fast, and I was sacrificing my time, energy, and …

Something light and fun with the opportunity to have drinks, touch, flirt, etc. like bowling, shooting pool, darts, or even just changing the venue and getting drinks at a place that isn't dead but quiet enough to talk... Preferably near your place for easy relocation.

So tired of seeing the word anorexia being thrown at any girl that is thin. Being thin/fit is easily achievable without an eating disorder.

This is actually the norm for women who eat healthy and exercise throughout pregnancy. Controlling your weight is really not that difficult. What makes her several standard deviations from the mean is the lack of women who do this. If you think keeping weight off is difficult, then I'm sorry, but you're doing it wrong.

You two agree on this, but you appear to be arguing. You both agree that they think they want sensitivity, but they subconsciously hate it. I believe this is a subconscious attempt to find weakness... A type of shit test. They subconsciously seek weakness to test whether or not you're strong enough to be her rock. Don't show it. You'll both be happier for it.

Absolutely. Talking about things can be helpful as long as it's goal directed. Talk to your best friend, brother, or father. Discuss the origin of your problem, how to solve it, and how to prevent it in the future. Don't make it a whining session. Don't let it become a crutch. Women dwell on problems, because it's a distress call for someone to come save them. Men solve problems. No one is going to save you.

Yep... People hating on this comment need to realize that not all lawyers make $100k/yr. I know people that make $50k/yr as waiters or bartenders at shitty chain restaurants. These girls make waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than that. I don't doubt that some do a little whoring on the side as well.

Oh god. I deal with mental health in my profession. Borderline Personality Disorder is basically a fancy word for being a fucking bitch. The fact that they're passing off being a dramatic bitch who uses people as a mental illness is disgusting. It's obviously not their fault. They have a disease.

Fucking thank you. The red pill isn't about whining and crying about the injustices of the world. It's about thriving in it. We know these injustices exist, BUT THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. Stop crying about the things you can't change. Start fixing the things that you can to make yourself happier. This is about being happy... Not dwelling on our problems like some kind of school boy bitch.

5'9" here. Yes, I still get high quality girls. I absolutely think I'd do better if I was 6'+ though... Especially in a bar setting. Height may be overrated, but it helps.

Well yeah, man... But there's a lot of girls out there. If I'm going to spend my time hooking up with her, she's going to be what I want. If she's not, I'll find another.

Haha yeah for some reason, I have a feeling my success with the 18-23 year old online demographic will fall when my age is listed as "30". Oh well... Gonna soak it up while I can.

That's not my experience. I live in the south, and I prefer petite girls. Past the age of 20, these girls are unicorns. Finding a girl with my desired specs is pretty much exclusively found online as there is not much of a nightlife for the 18-20 year old crowd. Also, I don't consider myself an average Joe.

Day game is interesting, but honestly, I tend to stock up on as many as I can handle through tinder and girls in my social circles that I just hit up on Facebook. The thrill of doing it in a different way would definitely be worth it though.

No doubt. I get annoyed easily with this. I have an overweight friend who claims the only reason that celebrities are fit (which is debatable for most of them) is because they have personal trainers, nutritionists, money, etc...conveniently ignoring the fact that I'm shredded and have none of those things. High protein. Low carb. Water. Squats. It's that simple. I've simplified it that far for anyone who inquires, because if they won't even do that, going into the intricacies of fitness is point…

Yup. Women's standards are MUCH higher. They're all princesses who deserve the alpha. I'm the best looking, most charming guy most places I go. Sometimes I'm not. When I'm not THE ABSOLUTE NUMBER ONE OPTION in the area, I don't exist to these girls.

For some... I've gotten 10 or so attractive, young (younger than I could usually meet) girls with minimal effort within a couple of months on tinder. I've never had success at bars.

So tired of the "healthy foods are expensive" argument. Eggs, tuna, fruit, chicken breast, whole wheat bread, and almonds aren't going to break the bank. Sure, if you want to go crazy with salads that use rapidly rotting ingredients, it can add up... But a diet that contributes to a healthy weight is affordable by pretty much anyone. High protein, low carb, exercise, done.

Yes. I get quite a bit more satisfaction out of being with a top tier woman than an average one. The idea that "a hole is a hole" that I've been reading a lot around here lately is a little ridiculous to me... But to each his own, obviously.

Dude... You're in med school, and you're tall. That's more than enough tangibles to get girls. Your issue is clearly your confidence. You think you have a 4/10 face, but you'd be amazed how much better a little confidence and BEING HAPPY will make you look. Lift heavy, stand with good posture, and KNOW that you're the man when you're talking to girls. Take note of what girls react positively to. Incorporate that into future interactions.

Do you consider his needs? Do you make a legitimate effort to be sexually attractive for him? Do you go to the gym with the intent of being petite with a nice little booty? If you don't do these things, then why would he want to stay with you? Women in our society are entirely too focused on how they are being treated to even consider whether or not they're fulfilling their man's desires. The best way to get what you want from a man is to give him what he wants. If you're the sexiest thing in to…

I'd say nearly all of us have had SO's. In fact, many of us were led here by particularly devastating long term relationships that caused us to have "holy shit" moments of clarity and seek out others who have had the same. Many of us continue to have long term relationships. We just refuse to settle for women that are convinced that they are above us. We date women that are willing to make the effort to fulfill our needs and desires as much as we fulfill theirs. Sadly, in America, the number of …

Unless you have a coherent argument to present, there's really no point in posting here. This isn't some hate group. This is a logic-based self-improvement community. You can't just come in here saying "you're wrong, I disagree." Right and wrong is not based on whether or not something makes you feel bad.

Simplest, best advice. Simply being in good shape and confident will revolutionize nearly any man's life. But for God's sake... When you're unhappy with your situation or not attracted to your woman... LEAVE. She will either improve or you will find someone that you ARE attracted to. Keep improving yourself, and your situation will improve as well.

Right on. I wasn't trying to say it was bullshit. I was genuinely curious. Whenever I lead with humor, I tend to get a response, but it typically leads to nothing. I feel as if it makes them pidgeonhole me as"funny guy" and makes it seem like I'm trying to hard. That being said... If you don't establish that you have a sense of humor within 4 or 5 messages, the convo is dead in the water. Waiting and making it seem like the humor came organically seems to work a little better for me. Edit: if yo…

Does that work for you? It seems so long and drawn out... Plus there's the good chance she won't know who one or some of those guys are... I just say "hey how's it going?" And it seems to be working just fine.

OR she's just acting like she doesn't know who you are to be coy. Just tell her who you are but don't be too pushy about it. If she wants you, you're back in... If not, don't take it hard. There are plenty of girls to choose from.

Haha well I appreciate the advice, but I don't have much trouble FINDING and getting cute, fit girls. I'm currently juggling an 18,19, and 23 year old. What I would like to know is how to get a girl that I'm dating to stay fit. That seems to be impossible. Yoga is cool, but if you're trying to lift and build muscle, I'd recommend maybe trying to do a few 15 minute sessions per week. Full hour classes in addition to lifting 4-5x/week can be pretty exhausting. I've personally never had success hit…

And yes, I would absolutely choose the girl who can maintain her form over one who is naturally thin...but then again, I'm in my late 20's, so girls who don't work for it have pretty much all lost it at this point.

Oh yeah... I'm heavily involved with several fitness communities. I expected to find hot girls in the crossfit community, but where I live, that's really not the case. It's either out of shape girls looking for a quick fix, or girls with excessively large shoulders that I don't find attractive. Honestly, the community with the hottest girls that I've noticed is the yoga community. It seems to draw in naturally thin girls and train them to have an attractive core and good posture. But even within…

In my personal experience, this is most demonstrated in the way women take care of their bodies. In addition to being the primary breadwinner, protector of her, and her emotional anchor... I have maintained an elite level of physical fitness. I've discovered that no matter what I do, I can't seem to find a woman that is willing to put in half of the effort that I do into her appearance. The worst part is that this is essentially all that I ask of a woman... Be fit, sexually giving, and don't be …

She's fucking with you, man. She enjoys this little game where you keep trying, and she rejects you. It makes her feel desired, and it makes her feel like she's above you. I've had 2 girls like this... One of them eventually broke through and dated, but the whole relationship was obviously just a game of "get as much as she can while giving as little as possible." I hooked up with the other girl, but it wasn't worth the hoops I jumped through. When girls give you CLEAR signs that they're into yo…

Yep. There was an initial freak out. That's what made her react that way... the realization that she wasn't the only girl that I got my rocks off to. She suddenly realized that losing me to my ex was a possibility. It was an absolute emotional rollercoaster... the entire relationship was. Sure, it was passionate, but neither of us was happy, because I wasn't in control. I've since tried my best to apply this principle but in a more controlled manner.

In my sadder years, I had a girlfriend that I literally had to beg for sex every day. It was pathetic. Sometimes I'd get fed up and jerk it to vids on my cell phone of me fucking my ex. My girlfriend at the time snooped through my phone, found the vids, and we fucked literally 10 times that day. She later admitted that she let me drill her into the core of the earth, because she wanted my thoughts only on her. Something clicked for me that day... never let girls think they're the only girl in th…

Agreed. I really enjoy a lot of the red pill info that I read that pertains to improving yourself, manipulating your situation, and thriving in our society which is admittedly twisted... but this kind of thing falls more into the revenge/hate category. It benefits noone. It's just the male version of extreme feminists whose thought processes are twisted beyond repair.

I know 3 half-white, half-asian guys. They do very well for themselves. They hang out in white social circles, have dark skin and hair without acne, and they have a look that distinguishes them from other guys. Their sisters are beautiful. I would have no problem mating with an Asian woman.

Well for one... stop thinking that you're ugly. If you can get your body in shape and stand with excellent, confident posture, you are a 7/10. Once you get that in order, you'll already be getting attention. Next, learn to take care of your skin. A simple skincare routine is to wash your face with a soap that is intended for adult acne (It's different than pubescent acne) and then apply a noncomedogenic lotion 2x/day. Next, learn to dress. You don't have to be fashionbot 5000. You've already got…

Honestly, if you're serious about fixing your posture, look up Eric Cressey's program "neanderthal no more" on t - nation. It's a comprehensive posture correction workout program to strengthen the necessary muscles. You should also watch some YouTube videos about what to do with your hips, chest, sternum, chin, and the crown of your head. It's a process that will take a few months, but posture is far and away the most underrated component of being physically attractive.

So you know, but you haven't told him... but you're complaining about his sister and mom knowing and not telling him? Seems kind of hypocritical to me. Just as the red pill philosophy doesn't go out the window after getting a girl, it doesn't go out the window after losing one either. If this is dire information, give it to him.

Well seeing as how we're in /r/seduction, shallowness is kind of implied. No, I wouldn't want to commit to someone who didn't want me based on something that shallow, but there's a big difference between building a relationship and getting your foot in the door. Not true. In the world that I come from, there are PLENTY of girls that would be more ashamed to date a guy who was a student AND working at McDonald's as opposed to a guy who was a student and unemployed. Strangely, those same girls would be okay with the guy working a minimum wage job at a pizza place or something a little "cooler" than McDonald's. At the end of the day, whether or not they're ashamed to tell their friends what you do matters.
