Nothing about his description of his other personality said that it necessarily was clingy and needy. But yes, on the whole I agree with you, integration, but don’t give up the things that make you feel like yourself.

But the only way that he would “not care about the outcome with women” would be to be truthful to his more genuine personality, which is one that he has less success with. Acting like he doesn’t care is not the same as not caring. A lot of pick up is manipulation for your own ends by any means. OP has realised this and my advise would be to be genuine because it’s the only way that he really is not caring about outcome.

Dude, the whole point of a work out is to have sore muscles! If my muscles are dying the next day I know I've done alright. You build strength by tearing muscle tissue, you've gotta push through with the pain if you want to progress.
