I have my kids about half the time, and I know for a fact that the other half is very unpleasant for them. The oldest outright counts down the days until he's old enough for the court to take his wishes into consideration, the middle child exhibits emotional issues, such as lying to please whoever he's with at the time. Likewise. I really didn't understand the people bitching about a female protagonist, it's not like she spent the whole movie talking about her feelings or chasing boys.

I would argue that dredd is not a man, but a justice made manifest. I've never seen him humanise himself, and no one else does either. Kind of like furiosa from mad max, she may be biologically female, but it doesn't contribute to her character in any real way.

I went to the movie as someone just a little too young to care about the original ghostbusters. I laughed a few times. Melissa McCarthy wasn't funny, Kristin wiig wasn't funny. The black lady was an interesting character. Kate mckinnon held my attention. It wasn't a great movie, and I can see how it would have upset fans of the franchise, but I don't see why the theater were empty.
