Well that's awfully convenient. I take a break from TRP because sorting the wheat from the chaff is too much of a pain in the arse, then I reappear on the day that this happens. Awesome.

"I can only control myself though." That short sentence seems a pretty important one to learn imo.

I want to steal this, fits me perfectly. Problem is I've already had this talk with my current plates.

I went to an all guys high school. I was bullied. That's where I learned to swat shit tests aside, before I even knew what a girl was.

If you can make her better than you then you should be busy making yourself better than you.

I counted the limit as around 120 profiles. When you hit the limit you get locked out for 12 hours.

The motivation for lifting should be to build enough discipline so you don't need motivation to keep lifting imo.

The right time will never come so do not wait for it. I am totally adding that to my code.

Then there's the fact that, in virtually every-fucking-thing you do, you do it better if you are well rested. I have a line in my personal code to this effect.

I'm of the opinion that the Poetic Edda should be on every TRP reading list. Part of that is because I think it should be on EVERY reading list, but there are definite red pill lessons in there.

And i rarely stick to the plan. There's your problem. There are a number of ways to fix it, generally it comes down to better motivation or better self-discipline. Now the problem with motivation is it is unreliable, inconsistent and relies on your mood. So you want to improve your self-discipline. First things first, you need to be honest with yourself. You need to start small, and be honest about what is realistic. If you start too big you will get burnout and just fail. Go to the gym more, st…

So effectively it's about selfishness then. Yup, it was a simple concept afterall. I'm thinking actions can be discrete but I'd say for people it's more of a moral spectrum.

I'm probably overthinking a simple concept here, and when put in the context of trp I get completely lost. Care to explain builders/destroyers?

Every comment reply you are getting is to get rid of her, quite rightfully too. You said it yourself, you go above and beyond for her and get nothing in return. This girl doesn't care for you at all. All she is for you is a drain on your wallet, your time, your emotional energy. She is effectively cockblocking you as well. Ask yourself, why are you still with her? If you are honest with yourself you won't have a satisfying answer.

Precisely why I always go and read the link itself before the analysis of it.

Honestly, I wouldn't even agree with any of them but that's besides the point. The way I see it: A (moral) code like the one above, should be treated as guidelines not rules (There's a movie reference I could slot in there). In truth the "perfect human" would have no requirement for a code and would be able to judge every situation they find themself in individually. The problem with this is that no one is perfect. Everyone is influenced by desires, prejudices and emotions getting in the way of …

"Well then, you should probably know that I won't have sex with anyone who I'm not married to with kids."

Here's another thought. What if he had got custody of the kids? Downsize the house, using some proceeds to pay of the mother. Then you know, ACTUALLY HAVING A JOB to provide for them as the grew up, would have eliminated any of this bullshit. But woe unto anyone who suggests the logical course if it conflicts with what she-who-is-more-important wants. Hell, with a 100k job he could have literally employed their mother as a carer for them.

I disagree. Routine can be either stagnant or progressive, but routine itself does not inherently lead one or the other. In your edit you say stagnancy is a better word than routine, but then stagnancy is the precise opposite of progress. I do understand the point you are trying to make though. Routine in itself doesn't lead to progress; progress can only be achieved in the framework of a routine by ensuring that the routine maintains the correct level of difficulty, ie make shit harder when it …

If he lost control of his anger and flipped out at her, yea that's breaking frame. If he actively decided that she needed to be called out on her shit that isn't breaking frame. Both things could actually involve exactly the same actions, it's just what caused it that matters. It's not completely clear which happened from the post though.

Aye, maybe something a bit more subtle would have done the trick. A shrug followed by something along the lines of "I'm sure I won't lose too much sleep over it". I don't think it's the end of the world though.

It's been said elsewhere in the thread, but keeping a bowl of hardboiled eggs in the fridge to add to breakfast/whatever meal is great. Specifically for breakfast I tend to go for weetabix + dried mixed fruit. Alternatively if I'm doing my workout immediately afterwards I'll have a protein shake.

That whole thread was filled with comments loaded in RP truths, I was wondering how long it would take before it popped up here.

I'm already in a position where I'd be as confident as it's reasonable to be in any fight, got my 1st Dan jujitsu years ago and have been doing Muay Thai for a few years now at uni. A job would be nice though.

I'm in virtually exactly the same position. A summer of Monk Mode. Just remember, you'll start off all enthusiastic and wanting to do more and more (you seem to be at that stage now). But if you take on too much instantly you WILL get burned out, so build it up slowly. Also just bear in mind that longer at the gym isn't necessarily better, in general harder is better.
