WTF is wrong with me?Oh trust me my life doesn’t revolve around Reddit’s relationship expectations anymore because it’s insanely unrealistic and miserable. Reddit is a cesspool when it comes to social standards and common sense with relationships. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/02/22 12:24 AM
WTF is wrong with me?It’s also the Reddit norm that there’s extremely tight age gap tolerances and anything outside that age gap is “gross” and “unacceptable”. I’m not saying who’s right or wrong, just that it’s the general opinion on Reddit. It actually fucked with my mental state because I went to college later in life (veteran, post divorce) and I wouldn’t even give 20-22 year olds a chance because I was 26 years old and I thought it was gross because of Reddit. Then people in my real life acted like basically “i… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/02/22 08:09 PM
Got the police called on meI totally understand. My ex was the same way, we could be having a perfectly fine interaction and she would snap. I would walk away, act like I’m just doing something on my phone and hit record and throw it in my pocket. I got emails between her and her lover, iMessages, police reports from her getting into a domestic violence dispute with the guy etc.. when she tried to argue I just snapped and told her good fucking luck, my lawyer has all that so just sign the papers and let me live my life. | 1 | Got the police called on meDon’t listen to this idiot, play the long game and keep your ducks lined in a row. You don’t do your kid any favors if you get some stupid charge. I waited for months letting my ex wife be stupid and then sprung the trap and served her. The whole time she thought she was winning and sneaky, I was an entire step ahead. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/21 03:57 PM
Got the police called on meFamily lawyers are fucking scumbags sometimes. My ex wife’s lawyer told her to provoke me into showing anger issues and that if I did she would get everything and if she’s lucky I might get charged with something. Mind you my wife had the affair. How do I know this? My ex ran her mouth to her sister and her sister told me to be careful. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/21 03:53 PM
Is dating men going through a divorce really a deal-breaker?Former military, it’s a common occurrence unfortunately. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/08/21 04:07 AM
Is dating men going through a divorce really a deal-breaker?Shit I’ve been divorced for 2 years and don’t have any kids and I find that women in my age bracket are turned off by me even having a divorce in general. (I’m 26) I mean I got married young and divorced young but still I just usually let them know within the first date or two before it gets serious. It’s up to them to decide and they are allowed to have that preference if it really bothers them. (Which I think is silly but still, not my place to say it’s not I guess) | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/21 08:31 PM
Had my wife not cheated....I feel this in my very soul. My ex wife literally would lie about everything. Literally up until she moved out, she stole some tools from me (so she could set up furniture with the man she left me for) and claims it wasn’t ever here. Totally gaslighting me up until the very end. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/05/21 11:44 PM
Should I use my va loan to get a house when me and my wife on the verge of divorceI bought a house last year all while I was overseas and she was cheating on me the whole time. Its been an absolute nightmare and I wish I could go back to never do it. She literally tried to take the house but luckily I got it, I’m now renting it out to stay afloat. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/05/21 05:00 PM
I’m in a bindI have no idea where this guy is. He’s a scumbag though so possibly back in jail. I understand that she is no longer family, I’m just trying to do the right thing in the time being until it’s officially a done divorce. Unfortunately, I’m in the army and spouses are protected. I can’t kick her out If we are still married legally. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/01/21 10:58 PM
I’m in a bindI appreciate your advice and I think it’s applicable to myself regardless but I’m not trying to save the marriage lol this is more of a necessary evil if I do move back in. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/01/21 06:06 PM
I’m in a bindNo, absolutely not. It’s been almost 2 years. I’m speaking hypothetically that she could use that (lie) out of the blue if she wanted to due to me staying there. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/01/21 08:54 AM
