2	It does get better! I don't really know how long it took, but I knew it when I arrived. I was so used to being around someone else and I was afraid to be alone. I had to work really hard to be OK with myself, being alone, and enjoying my time without my kids (another challenge). 2	Male vs female lawyers...opinions?? I had a scorched earth first divorce, mainly over custody of our son. I hired an attorney, she was an older woman, who came highly recommended, and she was fantastic. Not because she was a woman, but because she was a competent lawyer.
