Well it’s your hypothetical , so why does it need to be a contradiction? A contradiction of what?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 02:27 PM
4

But you said we’d have to pay for the house and the bed…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:05 AM
10

You said “no roof or bed that wasn’t entirely your own.” So we are supporting him. He isn’t contributing. Paying his half of the mortgage isn’t a gift to me. Where do you live where men are still the “providers?” It’s 2026, women are paying for their own shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/26 03:03 AM

Huh? I would never go out with someone without learning certain basic things about them. It’s pretty easy in conversation and by their profile yo see if they are shallow. However, some people are shallow themselves and prioritize looks over character and personality. So they they go in the date based on looks and ignore or didn’t check for red flags.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/26 04:54 AM
0

I’m definitely not playing dumb. I genuinely don’t understand why you would pay if you don’t want to. It’s 2026, I don’t even know women who expect men to pay. I live in a very progressive area. I know that it’s not like that everywhere, but it should be pretty easy to put in your profile that you don’t date women who expect you to pay.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 07:11 PM

Geez, are you picking “high maintenance” looking women? I feel like it’s pretty easy to weed out shallow people. But if looks are your top priority, I guess you could get sucked into these types. It just seems easy to avoid since they are a small minority out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 07:08 PM
-2

In what way aren’t they being fun?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 07:02 PM
1

So it’s not fun because you’re paying? Then why are you paying? If you enjoy hanging out with women then what exactly isn’t fun about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 07:01 PM
1

If you’re having fun, it’s a lot more than an “investment.” Do you just not like hanging out with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/26 06:38 PM

A relationship that ends isn’t a failure. Not everything lasts forever.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:35 PM

You need to get out of your conservative bubble. In my city, the vast majority of women don’t expect a man to pay. And the ones that do are looked down on.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 02:19 AM

Absolutely.

Hmmm, well my “bad boy” boyfriend when I was 22 had just gotten out of jail, drove a motorcycle (too fast!) and was very anti-authority but treated me wonderfully. He was very sensitive. Wrote me poetry and bough me flowers almost every Friday. He was not abusive at all. He was very kind to disadvantaged people and hated bullies. But he was very irresponsible and did too many drugs and would quit his job if his boss pissed him off. I hope he grew up eventually lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 03:58 PM
1

I’m middle aged and partnered with a great guy who was a “bad boy” in his 20’s. I was certainly a rebellious anti-authority risk taker in my youth but I was never a “bad girl,” because that is a different trope of it’s a trope at all. You have to develop past the angst and mature. Anyone who is still playing the “bad boy” in his 40’s lacks maturity.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 03:52 PM
0

You don’t think there are real life guys who drive motorcycles and rebel against authority?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:12 AM
1

This is hilarious. You and a few other people may have this opinion, but “bad boys” have been around for ages in our memorialized in literature and film.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 01:10 AM
0

Well then men aren’t talking about a different thing. When I was young I dated “bad boys.” They were kind and empathetic. But they were anti-authoritarian and did risky stuff. Rose motorcycles really fast. Got fired for mouthing off at a the boss. Skipped school, did drugs. They were musicians and activists. They were the last people who would make fun of a fat person though. I’m not saying all bad boys are the same. But we aren’t talking about bullies.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 02:52 PM
2

Oh dear. OP thinks women see random men on the street and know they want to go out with them? And are just holding back? Sorry, I’m not attracted to strangers. I don’t care his good-looking you are, you could be a horrible person. And I have no way to know if you like me.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 02:46 PM
0

Absolutely not. “Bad boys” are guys who rebel against authority. You’re talking about bullies.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 02:36 PM

No, animals are decidedly different. They only have sex when they are in heat. They don’t think about it or want it unless they are in heat. Whereas women can want sex every day and experience subtle elevations in their sex drive during their cycle.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/26 01:06 AM
2

Have you read what I’m replying to? It’s ridiculous. This dude thinks women go into heat like animals. We don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 11:42 PM
1

People don’t go into “heat” lol. I’m 55. Yrs, my drive is lower. My point is that women don’t “go into a hormonal state that facilitates arousal,” like animals. Hormones can affect it, but the primary factor is not the timing of hormones.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 11:27 PM
1

Oh, not to call him a hypocrite. Because sometimes it helps men understand. It’s just a lack of understanding not some kind of moral failing when men don’t understand why women may not like being hit on.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 07:01 PM
1

Work how?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 06:52 PM
0

Dude. I have a sex drive every day, not just when I’m in “heat.” Certainly hormones can affect it, but it’s not at all like what you’re describing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 03:07 PM
11

Sounds like you haven’t had to fear sexual assault.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 03:42 AM
12

Well how would you feel about random men fantasizing about sex with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 01:53 AM
5

Physically aroused? Maybe never, unless it’s someone I know snd am attractive to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 01:50 AM
2

Huh? That does not read like a definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 03:21 AM

But it’s not usually genuine desire. It’s about money.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 12:07 AM

What is a hoe?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 05:27 AM

Then why are only some powerful men known as great seducers?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 04:42 AM

They were just really tall.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 04:41 AM

Men aren’t traditionally seductive? My dude have you read any literature from centuries past?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 04:40 AM

How many women do you know in this situation? It’s pretty easy to tell if someone is hot for you or not. So what are you afraid of?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 03:52 AM

There are more young leftists than old leftists. My city is full of leftists in their 20’s.

Enjoying socializing is a pretty important thing for relationships. You’re going to have a very difficult time with dating and relationships if you don’t enjoy socializing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 08:34 PM
0

Some people do! I’ve been to a couple of lectures by an author I liked and socialized with people afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 07:19 PM
1

So? It’s not typical.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 07:17 PM
1

If you’re only socializing to get dates, then you won’t even get the dates. You should be socializing to socialize and enjoy the company of other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 07:08 PM
-4

But “the left” is full of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 06:18 PM
-1

Yeah but the vast majority are conservative. Red pill is openly anti-feminist and feminism was a political movement that came from the left.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:33 AM

Where is this poll?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:38 PM

Men are used to seeing women with makeup on and consistently choose photos of women wearing makeup over no makeup. I’m not sure how it helps your case to say “then you aren’t naturally that attractive.” Exactly, women wear makeup because men find them more attractive when they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:38 PM
7

The difference is it’s far less awkward and “cold” to say “hey I love how you painted the sky” in an art class that you’ve been in with someone for a few weeks than it is to walk up to a complete stranger on the street and ask them out. Do you see the difference?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:26 PM
3

Warm approach. If you find it “inefficient” then you don’t enjoy socializing and yeah that is a huge barrier to dating. You should be out socializing because it’s fun, not as a strategy to get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:16 PM
2

Last time I went to a club there were plenty of people “approaching” others and conversations between people who didn’t come together. Whenever im out and about socially people are striking up conversations with strangers. Just leave the house and go places where people are gathering to have fun. Live music, farmers markets, festivals, bars, lectures, protest marches, street fairs…etc. Just go out and talk to people, not just women you want to bone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:14 PM
0

Yup, absolutely true.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:57 PM

And the sex will be shitty. We don’t want shitty sex. No sex is much better than bad sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:54 PM
10

Very few women see a date either a guy they aren’t interested in as a “free night out.” I have zero interest in being “out” with someone I don’t want to be around, romantic platonic. I’m perfectly happy at home. I have food, alcohol, and entertainment at home. I don’t want to make awkward conversation with someone I’m not interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:49 PM

What money? Most men don’t have money. So they aren’t being used for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:46 PM
14

You don’t hit on the barefaced women. They are called “ugly.”
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:42 PM
10

Men constantly prefer the women who wear makeup, do their hair, etc. Ya’ll aren’t chasing after butch women. Porn stars wouldn’t look like that if you didn’t like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:41 PM
4

You must not get out much if you think that more than a small percentage of women operate that way. Most of us make the same money as the men we are dating, if not more.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:39 PM

What she said.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 06:37 PM

If something isn’t a social norm it has nothing to do with social norms.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 10:59 PM
2

What does this have to do with social norms? It’s not a social norm for Mom’s too completely mislead their sons about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 08:06 PM
1

Yeah I’ve suspected porn is the reason these guys have wildly unrealistic ideas about sex and romance. Specifically, access to it at too young of an age.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:52 PM

I’m asking you to point me to a case. Where a man was investigated and went to court. Not the video that showed him not assaulting anyone. Share a name of someone falsely accused with one of these videos. I can look it up.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 06:09 AM

Please point me to an example then.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 04:13 AM

So you think women are on a lower tier?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 04:12 AM

You can’t be serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 02:19 AM
1

The real world of Tik tok videos directed at incels? Again, how does filming a guy hitting on you prove rape?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 08:04 PM
1

No I’ve never seen those videos. They record the guy and then what? The recording would just be proof he didn’t SA her. So what are you talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 05:05 PM
4

SA claims for approaching? That’s not a thing. How would that even work? She doesn’t know your name and just talked to you for a few seconds and she’s going to somehow say you assaulted her? How would they even find you? Why do you but this obvious BS?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 06:21 AM
1

It’s not science at all. You are assuming that women are just as aroused by looks as men. They aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 01:51 AM

Lol no.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 01:45 AM

Do you think cheating is just about opportunity? I’ve gone out with “the girls” hundreds of times, never cheated because of it. The one time I cheated was when I had a controlling boyfriend who didn’t trust me. Hooked up with my ex. Had nothing to do with “girls night,” I just figured he thinks I’m going to do it so I might as well. I was young.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 05:45 PM

What does that even mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 05:41 PM

Wow, going out with friends of the same gender is bad to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 04:59 PM
2

Again, what is it proof of?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 10:13 PM

I read that as her saying she wanted an equal so she wasn’t subsidizing him.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 10:13 PM

Channel what productively though? Why do positive traits or activities need to be labeled “masculine” or “feminine?”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 10:04 PM

How is not dating someone who makes significantly less proof that you only date people who make significantly more? That’s a huge leap.

Who says half of marriages have dead bedrooms? Having to be someone’s mother /picking up after them and seeing them as annoying and weak kills desire for them over time. It’s not a conscious decision. It is just cause and effect. Someone expecting you to do more work in the household than they do just ends up feeling like they don’t respect you or love you and so of course many people will not want to have sex with someone that they don’t feel respects or loves them.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 10:51 PM
1

Huh? I’ve had that strong desire and sex drive with each of my long-term partners. I’m not going to commit to someone who isn’t great in bed. The vast majority of women are marrying men they are sexually attracted to. You’re talking like it’s 100 years ago when women depended on men financially.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 02:22 AM
0

Do you think women just don’t like sex? Don’t get off?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 02:18 AM

Maybe fifty years ago. That’s rarely the case now. It’s after the kids are born.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 02:15 AM

How do you figure not getting married equates to not finding love and/or not having kids?

/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:54 AM

Sexism is pretty obvious IMO. How he treats you and what he says on a plethora of subjects will show you if he’s sexist or not. The media he enjoys and his politics will help to see that as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 07:51 PM

They choose all kinds of guys. Look around.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 02:19 PM
1

I don’t think either gender is inherently better in stressful situations, although my personal experience has been that the average woman these days handles them a bit better. But that’s anecdotal.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 04:43 AM
1

You are defining masculinity as the ability to harm someone? Seriously?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 04:42 AM
2

I live in a very “feminist” area and none of my female friends think the guy should pay. Going Dutch is the norm and when I saw this post I was like “how is this still an issue?” Obviously men shouldn’t be expected to pay.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 02:02 AM
7

Back it up with what? Are you defining masculinity as the ability to harm someone? Or physical strength? It’s 2026, brute physical strength gets you almost nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 04:32 PM
1

Who are you hearing all of this from?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:17 AM

I was wondering if you might be autistic. I’ve noticed that autistic people are less likely to identify charisma in other people. That would explain why it’s hard to believe it isn’t just a side effect of being good-looking. What draws you to people is likely to be different. Charismatic people are able to charm/attract people of both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 03:03 PM

Do you think you’re awkward and shy just because of being rejected by women? Also, what kind of men do you like to be around? Do you notice that some men are more fun to be around?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 04:20 AM

Where did I defend the former? Or not defend the latter? The charismatic guy is more attractive because he’s charismatic and he can hide his shittyness. People want to have fun. The guy who talks about women like they are a different species and can’t relax isn’t fun. The charismatic guy can be.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 04:18 AM

That is only the response when he is actively displaying those qualities. It’s hardly like a guy says he has bad luck in dating and we all say “well you MUST be a misogynist!”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 03:09 AM

Few men are “ugly” period. That is such an extreme word. Are you charismatic?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 02:48 AM
20

They don’t need constant dopamine. You won’t find that from any scientific source. Of course women like simple things.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 02:53 PM
7

That’s how all relationships work.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 02:50 PM
-4

Utterly absurd. Charisma is not “good looking.” There are endless examples of unattractive charismatic men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 06:27 PM
8

There is a difference between a charismatic guy who uses or mistreats people in general and a miserable misogynist who blames all of his problems on women and thinks of them as a different species and doesn’t know how to relax and have a good time.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 03:07 PM
0

I didn’t read that long ass comment. But I am not being “coy,” you aren’t communicating clearly. You said “other men ONLY want to interact due to pressure from gender roles.” That means something specific, and you shouldn’t have said it if you didn’t mean it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 08:13 PM
1

Let me get this straight, you think that men just don’t like women and don’t want to interact with them? Like men don’t enjoy the company of women?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 04:28 PM
2

That’s fine, no one is saying you have to interact. But other men do want to interact.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 05:01 AM
7

She didn’t say men should interact. She said that if they are interacting, here is how to show you are safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 12:33 AM
10

I don’t get the contradiction? Those are examples of how a man could interact IF he is interacting, and wants to show he is safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 07:21 PM
8

They are.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 07:18 PM
2

Why in the world would you trust “content” to learn what is normal?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 02:31 PM
4

Men are more likely to be looking at me as a sexual object to be used selfishly for their pleasure. It’s really terrifying to think about how a man can hate a woman, and also want to have sex with her. Can want to express his hate through sex. I’ve never felt that from a lesbian.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 04:37 AM

So you want to “shoot yourself” and think we’re going to see you as reasonable? You’re unstable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 07:59 PM
1

Yup
/r/ExRedPill05/06/26 07:26 PM
5

You brought it up! wtf?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 08:09 PM
7

Just as many men rely on their partner that way, if you are looking at couples under 45.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 04:34 AM
-4

Actually, if you are staying in your lane and pursuing women who are also “poor and ugly,” it does.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 02:51 PM
1

What does that have to do with it? People mostly do kinky stuff with their partners. Especially the super kinky stuff. People want a safe space for exploring.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 08:05 PM
1

My argument is that OP is just making up theories about things they don’t know about. In my many years in this planet with tons of both male and female friends, I would have run into this stuff if it was real.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 08:03 PM
5

Where are these men leaving women because in a previous relationship, they did certain sexual acts? I’ve never heard of such a thing. Not have I heard about these women who enthusiastically do all of this kinky stuff with one partner and then don’t wanna do it with the next partner. That doesn’t happen. Period. Ya’ll need to stop making up scenarios and get out there and meet women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:23 AM
1

She tried it and learned she didn’t like it. If she has other kinds of sex with you, and she likes whatever that thing was, why wouldn’t she want to do it with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 11:20 PM
1

Did you read the OP? Why on earth do you assume it means she isn’t attracted to you rather than she doesn’t like those particular acts?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 10:58 PM
3

Telling her what he wants isn’t asking. It’s just establishing compatibility. Women liking “kinky” sex and not wanting to have it with their partner is incredibly rare. The vast majority of “kinky” sex happens in the context of a relationship where people can be vulnerable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 07:40 PM
1

Huh? Introverts do all of those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 07:06 AM
6

Don’t do it a second time if she is like that. I would never have sex with a man twice if he wasn’t enthusiastic the first time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 10:49 PM
3

He’s probably had like two blowjobs in his life
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 10:44 PM
14

Hahahahaha! This dude is an even bigger loser than the OP showed us! Guys gonna have nothing but horrible sex his entire life with this attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 10:41 PM
1

You think the guy who popped the trans woman’s ballon was just lie social status?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 02:36 PM

One woman not wanting to have sex with a guy relegated him to a life of jerking off? ONE woman?!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 07:25 PM

Because those things you listed generally result in bad sex for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 07:11 PM

Could polarity not create compatibility? I think you need to look up the definition of compatibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:43 AM

This is a strawman. Compatible doesn’t mean “same.”
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:38 AM

You said it was false that incel types were capable of abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 10:32 PM

Go back to school LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 10:31 PM

The most famous incel was a mass murderer… Abuse comes from anger.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 09:22 PM
1

Sure, but “ugly?” It’s just so mean and self deprecating. When I was younger, it was practically a slur meaning you would only say that about someone if you were trying to be really mean. I think that there are a lot of average looking guys out there calling themselves ugly. I’ve seen guys who think they’re ugly post photos and they are at worst average. Some just need a good haircut and to not look so angry lol. Meanwhile, there are other average looking guys out there getting together with wom…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 09:19 PM

Yet there are literally homeless guys with girlfriends. Never heard of the “starving artist?” Do you really not know any poor guys who have partners?

Do ya’ll think anyone who isn’t good-looking is “ugly?” I swear I’ve never seen that word used so much as I do in yhe manosphere. I NEVER called a man ugly when I was younger. Can’t people be average?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:50 PM

God no. That is the bare minimum. He needs to be interesting and fun to be around.

Incel types are absolutely capable of abuse. They are carrying all of that anger towards women. They are very likely to be abusive. And of course they would cheat if given the opportunity.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:46 PM
5

Why does being able to pick up on some things mean you should be able to pick up on everything else? Cheaters and abusers are very good at hiding that. Incel types usually don’t have the social skills to put on an act.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:44 PM

Most worn don’t date those guys, or leave when he does those things. But do you not think that those guys can also have good personalities? You’ve never known an addict that’s well liked? Or a criminal?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:39 PM

Do you think it’s bad advice to be told to be nice to girls and don’t hurt them?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:35 PM
1

Spot on! Men are unintentionally selecting the types of women they complain about.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:31 PM
1

How would you know? You’re talking about my whole extended social group, not yours. All of my female friends. They aren’t dating white collar men, or rich men. Well over half of us make more money than our partners. I do. I don’t know ANY leftists who think the man should pay. Where are you getting this from? Is your idea of a leftist someone who voted for Kasa Harris? A “girlboss?”
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 11:16 PM
0

Those women exist and exist in higher numbers on dating apps but my partner wouldn’t likely need to meet people online and if he did, in my city he wouldn’t likely have an issue. It’s a very progressive place and he’d be matching with other leftists who are anti-capitalists and feminists. But he’s really well-liked by other women in our social groups and very outgoing so he’s never had an issue meeting women. But he’s not looking to date the kind of women you probably are.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 10:14 PM

Most people won’t even know what that means. If you are up front about who you are, and they are interested, then you don’t have to put in a performance. So if you want to go Dutch, say it. If you want to do affordable stuff on dates, say it. If you don’t want to perform gender roles, say it. But that still doesn’t tell them much at all about your personality. Are you more reserved? What kinds of books and movies do you like? What do you do in your spare time? What brings you joy? What are your …
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 10:08 PM

Why would you do that? Why wouldn’t you just talk about your actual interests and traits? How would saying you’re not going to dance like a monkey identify people who are into you? It would just make you sound like your baseline is angry and resentful.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 10:01 PM
2

That’s just laughable. It’s like you’re only pursuing a certain type of women (who is out of your league and also has very high standards for shallow characteristics) or you don’t have experience yet and think all women are the same. I’ve never had a chad boyfriend, they have all been average as far as looks and very working class. But with each there was incredible chemistry and compatibility and they didn’t have to put on an act to win me over. They had specific traits that matched well with m…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 05:09 PM

No, compatible with you. People that are looking for/like your personality and characteristics. And yes, that share some of your interests.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 05:05 PM
10

It’s generally how women see it as well. If you didn’t act more interested than you were or lie or lead her on knowingly, that’s not what we are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/26 04:17 PM
2

Why would that make you incompatible with others?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 08:14 PM
0

Special in some way that makes you not compatible with anyone else? Generally, someone is special than they would be appealing to more people, not less.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:16 PM
1

I don’t understand how that answers my question. Why do you think that someone compatible with you doesn’t exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:15 PM
0

Why do you think that a woman who shares some of your interests and prefers your personality style doesn’t exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:11 PM
1

What a ridiculous straw man. No one is saying women don’t care about looks. No matter how many times we say it, ya’ll turn it into something different.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:02 PM
4

Ya’ll are completely missing OP’s point. It’s not performing if you naturally are the personality she is looking for. If you feel like you are a dancing monkey, you’re trying to be something you are not. Seek out women who are looking for a guy like you, with the characteristics and interests you already have. If you aren’t a Goth yourself, don’t try to date Goth women. If you don’t enjoy being really flirty and seductive, don’t date someone who expects that behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 04:53 PM

If you don’t usually find the sex good, why don’t keep having casual sex? I don’t think he would do it if you weren’t getting something out of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 04:25 PM

Slowly builds up over time. Even if we are just talking physical/sexual, I can’t tell from looking at him if he is good in bed or compatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:21 PM

Why shouldn’t the convo include marriage though?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:12 PM

If that’s what you think you shouldn’t go. And violence? I’ve never seen violence in a club. You know you can pick one that plays the kind of music you like and isn’t known for violence right?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 02:50 PM
3

How is that the big takeaway from this study?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 02:27 PM

You are assigning correlation where there is none. The only factor the study found that might correlate with the decline in egalitarianism was religious views.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 02:24 PM
4

I don’t think you understand what objectification is. It means he wants to use your body with no care or concern for your own experience. That means physical pain and lack of pleasure. Do you think that women would enjoy being raped if the guy was just hot enough? Because to a different degree, that’s what we’re talking about here.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 06:14 PM
6

You should be going to the club for the whole experience, not just to pick up women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:20 PM

You talk about dating the way people talk about careers. Most people aren’t even “successful” in that regard. Most people are working a basic job and have little to no savings. Most people don’t have a varied, active dating life either. Are you looking to find love or be a player?
/r/ExRedPill02/05/26 07:54 PM
1

You responded to my comment. What was “the issue” with my original comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:50 PM
1

Why is that relevant in this conversation ? No one is saying otherwise. It sounds like you want to argue with someone who thinks that all casual sex is men “using” women for sex. No one is saying that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:36 PM
1

There are many kinds of mutual exchange. No need to make an analogy, especially when it’s such a drastically different experience. I think I’ve been pretty clear that if there is no dishonesty, then no one is being “used for sex.”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 07:26 PM
1

Its pretty simple. Men fully admit to doing it and the way women can avoid it is not having sex right away. I’m not talking about women making assumptions without the man In question intending them to make those assumptions. I’m not talking about women hoping for more. I’m talking about situations where men intentionally say or do things to trick her into thinking he is interested in more than sex. I don’t know what you mean by “it’s just a handshake.” I don’t find handshakes pleasurable, it’s j…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 08:12 PM
1

It’s just lying about his interest, which can manifest in a lot of ways. Flattery he doesn’t mean. Feigning interest in her. Saying she is special. Talking about wanting a relationship, and talking to her the way someone interested in a person for a relationship talks. She knows she was used because after the sex, it all stops. If there is no dishonesty, then there is no transgression. Honestly would be “I’m just looking for a one night stand.”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 03:08 PM
0

I’m just saying lying or intentionally misleading someone in order to get sex is wrong. If you disagree, then you just have a different and very unpopular view of morality. Blaming the other person for believing the lie is just narcissistic cope.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 02:58 PM
1

It’s literally in the trope. Me describing something you’ve seen and heard of over and over is going to change your mind? If Shakespeare couldn’t why would I?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 10:17 PM
0

To support what claim? I’m saying “this is what women mean.” Or do you mean support a claim that men mislead women to get sex? That is a trope prevalent in literature and film going back centuries. Are you really unfamiliar with what I’m referring to?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 10:10 PM

I don’t do what you’re referring to. But if a man misleads a woman to get her into bed, that is what will cause a woman to say she was “used for sex.” She means that he acted like he was interested in her as a whole human being and that was just a ruse to seduce her.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 06:39 PM
1

They mean he misled her when he just wanted sex. Many of us aren’t interested in /don’t enjoy casual sex and men know that being honest about that hurts their chances. So they act like they are interested in more. It’s dishonest.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 07:09 PM
0

The lie that you are seeking to date her and looking for more than sex. Leading her on to think you’re interested in her as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 03:14 PM
5

That’s not what people mean when they say someone was used for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 03:12 PM
1

It means I personally was extremely attracted to them. That attraction develops over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 02:47 PM
1

I did not find my partners very attractive when I first met them. I’ve never had casual sex but I’ve seen and heard about tons of it and it’s not about men being so hot the women couldn’t resist. 90% of the time it’s just being drunk and he’s the one who made the move.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 02:46 PM
-1

So you idolize someone for being good-looking and tall? Things they have no control over?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 02:38 PM
2

They were average by normal standards, but very attractive to me. I have had a crush on a bald short man thought lol. No potbelly, he was very fit.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 01:56 AM

I have no idea what your point is.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 01:28 AM

Dude it’s 2026. I have made more money than my last three partners and I offer just as much security and emotional stability he provides me. What a guy looks like has nothing to do with how good of a lover he is and whether or not he will be good in bed. In fact really hot guys are likely the worst in that department.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 12:42 AM

But she is even more particular about someone she is dating. She desires her partner or person she is dating more.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 10:16 PM

And gets so much more. Relationships are mutually beneficial. Men want nurturing, support and partnership just as much as women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 10:14 PM

At the time she decided to have casual sex, there were likely only a few even in her vicinity who were also in her league.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 10:06 PM

Because you can meet people without “approaching” strangers. Have a social life. Be out and about. You will meet people.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 10:05 PM

Someone being drunk enough to fuck a stranger doesn’t make you special. Once you have more experience and are in a relationship where a woman can’t keep her hands off of you, you’ll see that the deepest desire is usually in relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 09:56 PM

Do you really think I excuse that behavior in neurotypical men? I certainly don’t. OP is pointing to something that they think happens to many autistic boys because they are autistic. And saying it results problematic behavior in autistic men which affects their relationships. They aren’t saying that it’s just fine to coddle neurotypical men but there is a different dynamic going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 07:16 PM

I didn’t say it does! OP is saying that some autistic men are coddled growing up and that dan result in autistic men thinking that it’s ok to do those things. It’s the people cuddling them who would say that being autistic somehow is related. I’ve experienced this first hand from autistic men. Saying completely inappropriate stuff, having public tantrums and then blaming it on their autism.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 04:49 PM

It’s something people said regularly not very long ago. To excuse physical assault, property damage, bullying, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 04:44 PM

They didn’t mention tough love. Are you saying that tantrums and sexual harassment should get a pass?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 04:43 PM
7

You being different than most men doesn’t make OP a liar.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/26 02:02 PM
5

Why would the husband pay for sex? Sex is something both people like and want.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 03:11 AM
2

Of course looks matter. No, women aren’t inherently shallow. Shallow people exist, it’s not gendered. But attraction, happiness in relationships, and good enjoyable sex are dependent on a lot of factors and looks are just one factor. For me, looks are less important than other factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 01:27 AM

Being polite will get you a hot girl? Lol what media?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:20 PM

It’s a broad term…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 08:07 PM

I don’t know what you mean by “women just tend to not care as much. “ Can you explain?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:34 PM
1

Just have some regular contact with the person so you aren’t a stranger. During that time, you can flirt a bit and see if she responds. You can learn a bit about her to see if she is actually compatible with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:31 PM
1

Yes there is. The person who wrote that is the expert on what it means, and she’s telling you that’s not what it means. There is “getting to know someone” and then there is “ deciding you want to date someone but hiding that from them for a period of time and then springing it on them.”
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 03:27 PM
2

She said not to do that!

There was no romantic spark. It was a fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:40 AM
3

You’ve grossly misunderstood what people mean by getting to know someone first or not rushing. We aren’t talking about months. Why wouldn’t there be escalation? We are not talking about just hanging around a person shyly hoping something happens. Just having some contact with a person before full on asking them out. Flirting and establishing mutual attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:39 AM
3

I don’t understand what that means? Why would he need to pay?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 12:37 AM

Just what I thought
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 12:30 AM

Most of the men I’m around are feminists. I’ve worked with and known some of them for over a decade and know their partners. None of that is true. In progressive circles most of the men are feminists. My long-term partner and last three partners were also feminists and great guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 09:14 PM

Did you skip my second paragraph? Frustrated and bitter about what exactly? Can you flesh it out?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 05:17 PM

Men who hold intense negative thoughts about women and look down on women aren’t going to go around saying positive things about women, call themselves feminists, consume media that holds a completely different worldview, or act overtly supportive of the very type of women they detest. And few people have the self-control to refrain from using language and words that they use every day just because they are on a date. The fact that there are many women out there who have low self-esteem or come …

Did you really not know what I meant by “it was a gendered focused study?” I meant it was a study focused on how one gender responds to “no.” Are you disputing that Redpillers regularly refer to studies about how one gender behaves?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 06:11 PM
-3

It was a gender focused study. Red pill cites such studies ALL the time. And if you really want to make an issue then you should be really upset at the fact that the vast majority of scientific studies have historically been conducted only on men.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 03:34 PM
1

Trust you why? What would you know what these guys do that isn’t public? Why aren’t they marrying women in their 20’s?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/26 03:37 PM
1

They are, but how many of your friends have been sexually assaulted and physically abused by a partner? How many have been stalked? How many have been sexually harassed at every job they’ve had? These things are all experienced by the majority of women at sometime in their lives. They talk about it, so we know. And let’s be real - of course the gender that is less physically strong is going to end up in more of these situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/26 03:36 PM
3

Do you really think most rape and domestic violence is even reported in those countries?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 10:40 PM
1

I didn’t make any comparison to “the other way around.” The norm is to date someone in your age group. If what Leonardo DiCaprio does is the norm in Hollywood/ for “high value men,” then why is he the one person every one points to? All of those aging actors would be dating 23 year olds. But they aren’t. So y’all always just point to Leonardo DiCaprio over and over.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 04:33 PM
2

Then why is he an exception?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 06:28 AM

You are likely right that class was more significant. But this discussion is about the patriarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 02:05 PM

I’m pretty old and almost every male friend I’ve had has cried with me and said they can’t do that with their guy friends. Plus of course my partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:29 PM
4

Are you just poorer than most men?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 03:12 PM
5

No, I don’t mean the oligarchy. The patriarchy. As described in the OP. Gendered roles and expectations that were harmful. Do you not think peasants were affected?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 02:12 AM
8

I don’t for a second believe that is most men’s experience. Men cry more freely with women. They talk about not being able to cry around other men. The fact that some women are jerks doesn’t mean that is the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 10:12 PM
6

Are you saying the peasants were somehow not affected by the patriarchy?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 10:04 PM

And from certain places in the U.S.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:19 PM

I’m a woman. I’ve paid for a lot of dates. I did it because I enjoy treating people.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:17 PM

These people must live in super conservative places. Splitting the bills in the norm where I live for years.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:16 PM
1

Wow where do you live where 2 drinks plus tip is $15?! Nevertheless, I agree. First dates are not for spending a bunch of money.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:14 PM
1

Why do all that on a first date? Grabbing coffee, a drink, dessert, food cart, is much better.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:13 PM

I think you misunderstood. If a woman was complaining about men not paying, we’d say the same to her. State up front what you expect and then if they aren’t into that, don’t date them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:11 PM
4

Just say “you cool with going dutch?” In my city, it’s assumed the bill is split unless someone explicitly states otherwise. We got there because women pushed back on traditional gender roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 06:09 PM
1

Blue pillers don’t say that. It’s absurd that you think that is what they are saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 03:51 PM
0

No, most normal men don’t think that. It’s a manosphere mindset limited to a minority of men. Men who are in relationships generally see and feel that their partners truly love them and you can see that in the replies here.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 02:58 PM

Because the average person is neither charismatic or good-looking. Yet the average person finds love.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 09:26 PM

How do you figure finding love is comparable hunting and killing something?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 09:08 PM

That’s utterly absurd.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 09:05 PM

Weird off topic comment. It also won’t make them a multi-millionaire or a great athlete or a model. When did men start believing that casual sex with hot women could or should be a common experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 08:59 PM
-7

That just flies in the face of statistics and just walking around outside of knowing how many coworkers are in relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 08:54 PM
0

Do you think that if a couple gets divorced it means they never had good times, were in love, were mutually attracted? Most relationships don’t last forever. I look back on past relationships and have mostly very fond memories. I was in love, they were in love, we had great times and great sex. Now, divorce is harder but my point is a relationship ending doesn’t mean it was never good or fulfilling.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 08:50 PM

You can’t answer?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 08:43 PM

I think you might have read about a specific type of “fucked up porn.” We are talking about porn that shows women being degraded.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 07:26 PM

Some women seeking it out doesn’t change the fact that it is largely consumed by men. Why not just share what you think about so many men enjoying watching women get degraded?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 05:58 PM
0

OP is focused on women being degraded. Women do not seek out that genre more than men, get real. Do you think getting fucked by a lot of women is inherently degrading?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 04:54 PM

Why is that a problem at all? 10% is way more men than I will ever date in my lifetime so why do I need to be attracted to more than I would partner with? Also, I’m just not attracted to strangers. That’s why so few men are attractive to me because I don’t feel attraction without some kind of personal connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 05:42 PM
2

Why wouldn’t you want to do a date before noon? And why would you have to anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:54 AM

Never met a woman who regrets waiting. Why would she? But generally, women who marry and have kids young regret not waiting.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:42 AM

But the societal messaging is telling us to have kids. There is far more pressure to marry and have kids than not do that
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:14 AM

There isn’t something that happiness. You’re saying there is but no one is agreeing with you and you don’t even know what “it” is.

The other side of what?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:07 AM

30’s is prime, not closing in on middle age. I was, and I think most women are, happier in their 30’s than their 20’s. You’ve figured a lot out, have a greater sense of self and confidence, and your body is still young.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 03:52 AM

I’ve paid for many dates and none had such “social capital” or whatever. I’m just an egalitarian and have also dated men who make less money than me. In my very progressive area, going Dutch is the most common. Personally, I prefer taking turns.

Not just boss people around. Not all leadership roles are management roles with that particular type of inherent authority. Obviously neither you or I think leadership is bossing people around. But people are drawn to leadership roles for the power they think they can gain and weaponize. When a leadership role comes with inherent authority you can certainly train someone to do alright in that role, because they have subordinates who have to follow their supervisor’s lead. But I train leaders in …

As someone who recruits and trains leaders as a central part of my work, I disagree. Many leaders don’t see themself that way or resist taking on the responsibility. People who desire to lead are often just seeking power. I have tried many times to “make” someone a leader. It never really works.

You’re misrepresenting what people say. We say “ most men are in relationship relationships.” I don’t actually see people here say that most women don’t want ONS/FWB. More like they don’t value them as much as men do.

Or… people ignore some advice from their therapists. Often times she says “yeah that’s what my therapist said too…” then goes on to have it happen again. Still, the therapist doesn’t see who she is matching with and doesn’t know they are objectively out of her league.

I agree! I fully support legalized prostitution, sugaring, strippers, all of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 07:56 PM

Me too. If a guy shows clear consistent interest, then I know he is in my league. But I don’t do online dating. My friend doesn’t want to accept that a lot of men will only see her as an easy lay (she is really forward) or appealing for a moment when they are drunk or want attention but never plan on meeting her. She’ll show me his pic and I think that dude‘s gotta have a lot of women competing for him….
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 07:54 PM

I’m not saying it should be illegal. But it doesn’t make people happy and in most cases it’s not completely consensual. Sugaring and prostitution are honest transactions. Gold diggers almost always hide their motives and pretend it’s a genuine connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 07:50 PM

Ah, my apologies. But my comment which you replied to was about the hoops, so I’m not really sure why you jumped in if not to talk about the hoops. None of that is entitled. You’re reframing things people want and ask for as “entitlement” and then putting a bunch of emotional baggage into that word. You sound like a broken person. I know because outside of religious girls when I was in high school I’ve never known a woman who did this and I’m a very social person who’s talked with hundreds of women about their dating and sex lives. Your friend who is trying to preserve her virginity is religious. Don’t date conservative religious women. Obviously they are fucked up by that culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 07:55 PM

It’s not difficult if you’re actually compatible. When there is mutual attraction, it happens quite easily. A woman lacking sexual desire for you doesn’t mean she doesn’t have sexual desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 05:51 PM
5

I’m not the one who made the statement re marriage. I’m just here saying that’s a ridiculous claim. Almost no one is waiting for marriage so it’s not an issue. Yet you thought it was such an issue that you brought it up. Few women set an arbitrary timeframe. That’s not the norm. Nor is it manipulative in the vast majority of cases. That’s old school - women not getting much pleasure out of sex, and so simply seeing it as one of the only ways that they had any power in their relationships with me…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 05:24 PM
4

If marriage is a rare standard, then why did you say it was “the issue?” Why are you letting online crap determine what is normal? What do your female friends do? Like seriously, you guys are worked up over something that’s hardly even happening. Women have sex with men faster than they ever have their standards have not gone up. They’ve gone down. “Waiting for sex” usually means a few dates at most.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 04:10 PM

That says “dating.” Not marriage. Huge difference, not sure why you’d even post that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 04:04 PM

I’ve never seen that but I’m sure your algorithm is feeding you some weird shit. And how many say they are waiting for marriage? The only people that do that these days are a few religious nuts.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 08:17 AM
3

How many women are waiting until marriage for sex or saying sex isn’t important to them anymore? It seems like such a tiny percentage that it’s not even worth talking about. Are you religious and pursuing religious women? Then religion is the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 04:14 AM

I imagine finances play a big role. A lot of working class people can’t afford childcare.

Because men don’t carry and birth babies. Ideally consent to sex would not be consent to parenthood for anyone. It’s just a fact of life that women bear the burden of pregnancy and so can decide to get an abortion. There is no way for men to end the pregnancy, it isn’t happening in his body. Once a child is born, it has to be cared for. The state should not have to step in because a man decided he didn’t want a child.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 09:00 PM

You’re really struggling to stick to your moved goal post here. Just take note of the fact that you need to have actual skills and care to be a good lover. Lose the idea that it’s your dick, because so many women prefer other types of sex to PIV.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 08:59 PM

Yes
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 08:45 PM

No, it only means that to some men because they don’t understand what it means and don’t believe women when they say what it means. Besides, women aren’t usually telling men they are “husband material,” they say it to each other. How is it hurting someone’s feelings if she doesn’t say that to him? It’s just crazy to me that you would think a woman wanting to marry you as an insult. That’s not how the vast majority of men think.

You said “the sooner she’ll sleep with you,” not “getting more sex” Women are often wearing drunk goggles when they have casual sex. They will sleep with someone they wouldn’t even consider for a relationship or when they were sober. You think that women are wired like men and physical attractiveness always translates to a feeling of horniness. It absolutely doesn’t in women.

The majority of them don’t. If all men preferred that age range, the most appealing men would pretty much all be dating young women. But they aren’t. The ones do are famous for it because they aren’t like the rest.

There are so many things I find fun and romantic. One boyfriend took me to a construction site for a big building and we snuck in and climbed around and got up really high then drank some wine and made out. It was thrilling. Cooking a fancy dinner is always nice. A day trip out of town to the coast or a hike to a waterfall with a picnic or dinner on the water. Theater, live music, etc. Tango or salsa lessons. Even a lecture by someone he knows I am excited to see. It’s romantic because he though…

Well, I’ve been won over a number of times. You’re probably operating with the assumption that women see a guy and immediately decide if they’re attracted to him but that’s not how a lot of women work. I don’t expect him to plan and pay more than myself. I am also showing him that I am fun and can provide a good time. But yeah, he needs to show that if I’m going to feel attracted. Nothing turns me off like a couch potato who can’t do big things.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 05:24 PM
6

It depends on the person. For me, the man will need to drmonstrate he can show me a good time. I do the same. He doesn’t have to spend a bunch of money and I pay half the time anyway. But he needs to show me he is exciting to be around and knows how to create fun. My partner and I go on adventures almost weekly. It doesn’t stop once you get in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 05:18 PM

You shouldn’t be doing it to get the woman. You should do it because it’s fun and definitely don’t spend more money than you would normally spend for entertainment. If you don’t like going out to dinner, the theater, skydiving, clubbing, picnics, cooking together, haunted tours, bike rides, hikes, whatever, then don’t do them just to win someone over because you’re leading them on. You do it because that’s your normal mode of operation and you’re showing her how fun spending time with you in a r…

Did you read my post? I said I plan and coordinate dates. All the time. In my relationship, I plan more as a matter of fact. So if he can’t do the same, it all falls on me. Of course I know women who sleep with men that don’t do that. What is your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/26 05:05 PM
13

It’s more nuanced than that. What people consider “romantic” and “fun” is part of compatibility. I don’t care how good looking a guy is, if his idea of a date is Netflix or sitting around the house I’m not going to be attracted to him. Ever. I’ve had boyfriends win me over by planning interesting dates. So yeah, if there is no baseline attraction then cool dates won’t likely change that. But for some of us, we won’t engage if the dates aren’t fun. And yes, I also plan fun, romantic dates. I know…

Baldness does not make men feel like their appearance does not match their gender. Baldness is primarily associated with the male gender so while it may cause discomfort, it does not cause one to feel like they look like a different gender.

I think hanging out one-on-one is a pretty clear line. In many cases, the guy confesses that he’s had feelings for a while and thought you might feel the same. The ick comes from realizing you’ve been hanging out with this person and they were fantasizing about you and having a completely different experience than you were. It’s pretty unsettling. We all know guys jerk off thinking about women they are into. Knowing your “friend” has been doing this for a while can cause an “ick” feeling.

I reject the idea that a bad personality and social skills is authentic in anyone. When people experience healing from trauma and change their mindset (which isn’t necessarily easy,) then they are free to be authentic. Yes, some do and get shot down and no one is saying there is “raw desire” present. But there are definitely guys out there with social anxiety and low self esteem who just don’t know how to relax and be playful and flirty with women. And also don’t know how to tell when women are flirting.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 09:38 PM
3

Yes they should! Women are not a monolith. There are still some out there who do “take it slow.”

Thanks, I appreciate the clarification. I have probably called someone ugly 3 times in my life. I’m just pointing out that the use of that word seems to heavily tied to the manosphere (RO/Blk P). I think that pretty much all blue pillars recognize that being really unattractive makes dating much harder for those people. And that applies to life in general. Attractive people have it easier in a lot of ways. I had really bad acne when I was younger and was one of those people. I just felt invisibl…

The double negative going on in the second phrase is making it hard to get. Also I don’t know which group you are saying overemphasizes how important something shouldn’t be. But yes, I agree with the first part of your sentence, but I would not say good looks is the same as desirability. My partner is average looking but the sexiest man alive to me. He just has an incredibly seductive personality and delivers sexually and romantically.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:39 PM
4

Huh? I said nothing about 99%. I’m pretty confident that none of my partners are attractive to 99% of women. They were ideal for me and women with the same tastes and values as me. I have always chosen average looking men with exceptional personalities. And exceptional to/for me, not necessarily for anyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:30 PM

“Blue pill” people mostly just recognize that everyone is different. Leagues exist but people are able to date out of league all the time for varying reasons. Some of us (me, for instance,) truly do put personality before looks. Meaning I’ve dated multiple men who were quite good looking, wanted a relationship, and ended it pretty quickly because I had no real attraction for them. No chemistry.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:26 PM

There is a big difference between asking someone out you’ve worked four shifts at the soup kitchen with and asking someone out that you’ve been hanging out with twice a week as platonic friends for six months. Seeing someone and chatting with them at work or socially is totally different from developing a friendship outside of that space where you hang out 1-1.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:20 PM
1

And why is that bad advice?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:18 PM
3

Just because one woman finds him ideal and takes it slow doesn’t mean others do. Most women don’t take it slow when they really like a guy anyway. I do (take it slow) and none of my partners had any issue getting casual sex before or after we were together.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:16 PM
2

Why do you think he can’t get casual sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:12 PM
13

Drunk goggles/lowered inhibitions is not “raw desire” LOL.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 08:10 PM

Yet “BP” people have always acknowledged leagues. Like you could go back 50 years and people talked about leagues. We just recognize that looks only go so far and many other factors matter as well.

Instead of calling me a liar, why not consider we may live in different cultures? I truly do not see or hear of educated men dating fast food workers, dishwashers, janitors, housekeepers etc. Do you really see that?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 07:16 PM

There is not a significant number of men looking for a stay at home wives. I don’t know a single one presently. So why bother on this topic?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 07:02 PM

As do men. It’s rare to see an educated professional partnered to an uneducated low wage worker. Both genders prefer to date in their own class and education level.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 06:55 PM

That’s not historically accurate. Throughout most of history, women have had to contribute financially unless they were rich.

I’m not sure where you live but where I am, women highly value those traits. He still needs to work, however. The whole “breadwinner” concept is outdated. In the vast majority relationships both people have to work and bring in money.

Most women I know play video games. Do you really not know women gamers?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 09:04 PM

I think if someone lists gaming as a hobby, especially the primary one, it’s likely they have an addiction and it will be frustrating for a partner. I play video games but it’s not a hobby anymore than watching TV is a hobby. I think most of us, if we’re honest with ourselves, will admit that video games are an escape and we spend more time on them when we are feeling depressed.

She said she never had sex with him again but he kept begging her. And she said no.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:24 PM

That’s not how female desire usually works. You’re describing male desire which is hugely visual.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:20 PM
2

But you’re not there for the sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:12 PM

That’s the kind of sex I’ve had with multiple partners. Aside from just wanting them for their dick. Casual sex is usually disappointing for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:12 PM
1

None of what you described is based in reality and you’re only causing yourself more suffering by holding these beliefs.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 05:05 PM
1

Do you live in a super conservative place or something? Mist women I’ve encountered are not soft spoken. And yes, there is a huge issue with young people having or saying they have social anxiety. The women are more likely to name it but you see it just as much with young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/25 06:38 PM
1

The two men who stalked and harassed me are both men I rejected.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/25 04:47 PM
1

Yah I totally get what you’re saying. My point is that different images come to mind when we hear “muscular” and women aren’t lying when they say they don’t prefer muscular men. They are just defining muscular differently
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/25 04:10 PM
-4

Neither. Also, soft spoken means serious issues with social anxiety. Of course that isn’t attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 07:35 PM
1

That’s not the experience I see men having. If you’re constantly getting rejected, then you’re either hitting on people out of your league or you’re not learning to read the signals of interest from women. Again, if you’re trying to meet someone through online dating instead of through having a social circle and life then that is going to lead to a lot of disappointment.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 05:33 PM
1

Again, that is contradicted by the fact that most average men are in relationships right now. So they aren’t being ignored or passed over. They just don’t have access to all of the casual sex that some men have. It’s always been that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 08:50 AM
1

No they aren’t. Women are not going around telling men they are below standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 08:40 AM
1

Yeah that’s on apps. Why would you even use a dating app if it doesn’t work?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 08:37 AM

When I read “muscular men” I imagined a bodybuilder. Does that mean I’m lying when I say I don’t like muscular men? I swear you guys always go to the worst intentions.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 10:07 PM
14

Pseudoscience.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:15 PM
1

That’s not true. Most average men are in relationships so getting attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:03 PM
1

I just don’t think a desire or a standard that you don’t even state to the person is a demand. I don’t think you sound entitled until you start complaining constantly and are mad at people for not dating you. There is a difference between an unrealistic expectation and a demand that you force other people to respond to or listen to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:02 PM
31

He grows on me because: I get to know him and find out we have amazing chemistry. We get to talking and I find out we share similar sexual tastes and he turns me on We get physical and I find out he is really great at intimacy After a man has given you many/hundreds of orgasms, of course you are going to feel more attracted to him because you associate him with intense pleasure
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 07:58 PM
1

They aren’t “demanding” anything though. A preference isn’t a demand. They can’t force anyone to date them and I’m not aware that they are trying to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 02:55 AM
1

Accountable? Shame them? You talk like it’s some kind of moral failing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 02:53 AM

What did she say that made her sound insufferable?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 04:27 PM
1

Anyone over the age of 25 who says they only want casual sex ever is going to be criticized as shallow and broken and in the manosphere no one is criticized more for just having casual sex than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:16 PM

That’s irrelevant to whether a liar is in the wrong and responsible for lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:12 PM
5

It is wrong. There is a huge chasm between having casual sex and only being interested in casual sex. Casual sex often leads to relationships anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 04:32 AM

In what reality is lying not the lying person’s problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:43 AM

Off topic
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:42 AM

That’s hard to believe (not saying you’re lying, haven’t seen any data though.) I doubt any woman in my social circle has done that. You’d have to be pretty desperate for the meal to suffer through a date you’re not into.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:39 AM
3

According to who? Anyway, the guys who are “antisocial” we are talking about our isolated, hiding behind keyboards and screens. They don’t seem to have any regular interaction with women other than close family. That’s not normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:34 AM
2

Sorry that’s not what I see happening and I know a LOT of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 03:32 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:41 AM

Do you think having a social life involving friends of both genders and going out and doing things with other people means you are an extrovert? I think when they say antisocial they mean guys who isolate themselves and don’t interact with many people or socialize.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:39 AM
2

Then how do most men end up in relationships? If you’re talking about the ability to get frequent casual sex, that’s always been something only a small minority of men could get. Why put so much value on it anyway? Few guys enjoy that lifestyle for more than a few years. Men want the support, comfort, and stability of a relationship too.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:33 AM
8

I don’t find it valid at all to be a full grown adult and only want sex, and be aggrieved about it. That’s just incredibly immature and unhealthy. It’s one thing to only want sex for that night or a time in between relationships. But a person who sees no value in romantic relationships is generally not doing OK. If they can’t get laid it’s their own damn fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:26 AM
5

I base my beliefs on what I see and know, not on what men on these niche subs say. What I see and know is that the vast majority of men are in long term relationships. Almost all of the men I have contact with (hundreds, because of my line of work) are working class. Not at all rich. Many are immigrants. Ranging in age from 20-70. So when men here say that most men aren’t “successful “ with women, I’ve gathered that they mean most men don’t get to be with above average -looking women. Well no sh…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 02:18 AM

That would be a super shitty thing to do. How often do women do this?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 08:26 PM

No one is saying she was entitled to a relationship. We are saying he led her to believe he was genuinely interested in her when he just wanted sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 08:24 PM

Then you don’t understand what women mean when they say that. They mean the guy wasn’t interested in getting to know them better, didn’t appreciate them as a whole human being, didn’t think they were special and led them to think they felt differently. Almost every guy who has a lot of ONS leads women to think they are interested in more than just a one night stand, like more about the woman than her body. They are dishonest.

I don’t think “cold approaches” are wrong or anything, I just don’t understand why you’d think that is the only way you could end up dating someone.

For me, the fact that they HAD to know I wasn’t interested and still made their sexual comments or innuendos and used their positions of power to do so without repercussions. Managers, customers, family friends. All people it was difficult if not impossible to stand up to. To hit on someone you know isn’t interested is objectifying them and feels predatory.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/25 07:26 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 11:05 PM

Are you saying emotional intelligence isn’t really a thing? And how is emotional validation not a key part of that? Everyone wants that. It’s something that women have more likely been socialized to do and do with their male partners.

This way of thinking is definitely going to cause you suffering.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 03:50 PM

Most men do not feel the way you do. Never had a problem with my partner wanting to “cook the meal.” Your analogy also doesn’t hold up because most people do cook meals instead of going to Chick-fil-A and a lot of of us love cooking… It sounds like maybe you haven’t really felt very good at sex so it’s not something you invest in or take pride in.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 03:09 PM

Chemistry is always a condition. It’s (obviously?!) the most important one. “Women as a group” don’t have a unified opinion. Do you think I’m saying the second guy is as good-looking as the first? I’m not. Pretty much any woman will tell you the first guy is more good looking. But we are looking for someone who finds US attractive and will date us, not a photo to swoon over. Of course they do. The CEO or famous actor dating a waitress is rare. Even dating someone with less of an education is not the norm.

Why do you think men who she doesn’t want would be more loyal and attentive? Your list of qualities is fiction. “ attentive, loyal, treats them like a princess, love her unconditionally, and give her everything she desires.” That doesn’t exist. It’s pure fantasy and if you think you would or could do that for a partner then your relationships have all been in your head.

I can see a guy I think is really hot but there is no physical feeling that goes along with it. It’s a very mild feeling and there is zero actual arousal. Responsive desire as you call it doesn’t require dates or him buying things. That’s ridiculous. It’s just from getting to know him and feeling chemistry and safeness. I’ve had that for each partner I’ve had, after we met but before we started dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 12:12 PM

Nope. Many of us get the hottest for a guy after we get to know them. Personally, I’ve never felt that way for someone until I got to know him. For me, there is no spontaneous lust for a stranger because he is hot.

I’m a very generous person and do nice things for my partner daily, and most of my friends do as well. I know because I see it and they talk about it. I pack special lunches for him and cook his favorite foods. I buy him gifts all the time, both small and large. I give him foot rubs 3-4 times a week (he works on his feet.)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 06:19 PM

I don’t know how I operate? Or how my friends and family operates? It sounds like you’ve dated some really selfish women. But I doubt you’ve dated more women than I am friends with….

Why do you think all of these women and experts are lying? This is about women losing their attraction for someone, not a matter of never being attracted to him in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/25 01:32 AM
2

Did you not do nice things for each other?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/25 01:30 AM
2

Ok I’m going with the assumption you are referring to stimulating your partner with your hands. Why would we want to date anyone who doesn’t do that? It’s a huge part of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/25 01:29 AM

Have you never been in love? People who love each other. Enjoy doing nice things for each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 04:50 AM

What does that even mean? Masturbation means you’re doing it by yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 04:43 AM

So it doesn’t work the same nothing ways. Look, this is just a fact of life. You can’t guilt someone into feeling attraction for another person.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 04:40 AM

If you’d read anything about this you’d know that women have said over and over that their husband being like another kid they have to take care of makes them lose their attraction to him.

I’m pretty sure I saw a post saying the first thing a couple of days ago. There isn’t “a” narrative LOL.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 02:29 AM

Look around dude. Plenty of average and below average looking men were “hot enough” to attract a mate. If you aren’t very good looking then, your personality and social skills are incredibly important for attracting someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 03:15 PM
10

So I saw the photos of you that you posted and you are a good-looking guy! But you look REALLY unhappy, even angry. Like you are looking at the camera with hate. What’s up with that? If that is the vibe you’re giving with women, things won’t go well. Smiling and not being too serious is so important.
/r/ExRedPill08/09/25 12:10 AM
2

Where did you get that idea? Like you can easily look the word up in the dictionary or probably think of countless people you know who are not at all attractive, but have a lot of charisma.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 04:15 PM
3

That’s not what gaslighting is…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 03:01 PM

But confident mid men do get women. The vast majority of them are in relationships. Are you just talking about casual sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 02:45 PM
5

Online huh?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 02:36 PM
5

But internal values need to be externalized in order for other people to experience them. For instance, you can say you care about another person, but if during conversation, you don’t really seem to be interested in what they have to say and keep changing the subject back to yourself. You’re not actually being a caring person. You’re being selfish.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 02:03 AM

Who specifically is “expecting” you to mask? And what did they say to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 01:45 AM

The belief that we would have a “total population collapse” is absurd. Capitalism is the largest problem we face. If left unchecked, it will replace human labor with AI. With proper distribution of resources, we can get over the humo where a smaller population is supporting more retirees.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 01:47 AM

Huh, I didn’t read too far into the comments but yeah I I can imagine. I love how these guys pretend to care about the birth rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 06:18 PM
2

Yeah I think we can just look around and see this. Is it controversial somehow?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 06:08 PM
1

Your inserting “favors and service” into the equation. Of course in any relationship if someone is trying to “buy” friendship or a romantic relationship with service and favors that’s gross going both ways. But that’s not inherent in a friendship where one person wants more. Friends do nice things for each other. When it’s unbalanced, that’s a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 08:40 PM
1

Correct. Few men catch my eye. Like maybe once every couple of weeks I see a guy and think he’s attractive. The ones that do stand out tgat wsy are out of my league so it’s just a fleeting moment. What’s far more common is that a guy I work with or know socially who is average looking is attractive to me because I know him and his personality. My experience when I was dating was that better looking guys were worse in bed and have worse personalities so I don’t really even have a desire to get wi…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 06:32 PM

The same way anyone would know. I know what is objectively good-looking. I can see what other people respond to and I know what I thought when I first met him, which was neutral because he is an average looking guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 06:10 PM
1

Knowing objectively what someone’s attractiveness is compared to others is one thing. I do not ever think “that person is a 4” to myself. My partner is hot to me. I don’t go around polling others on what they think of him but I’m sure his exes also found him hot. He is an incredibly sexy person with a great smile and beautiful eyes and is very strong. He is pretty much a god in bed so when I look at him, there is a very strong association with all of those wonderful moments we’ve shared together…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 06:00 PM
1

I don’t know what your point is. If you have an active social life and are social as you move through your day, you will have the opportunity to show a lot of women character characteristics that they might find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 05:09 PM
-1

I don’t rate people and would never think that. I thought the numbers are supposed to be objective. My partner is super hot to me, but I know that he is average in other’s minds. I would never tell him I think he’s average but he knows that. Again, normal people don’t have these kinds of conversations. It’s something red pillars hyperfixate on to their detriment.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 05:03 PM

Most women are in relationship relationships and so no, we’re not worried about losing something. That’s not even a part of our lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:53 PM
1

Why would they EVER need to say that? That’s not normal talk in relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:35 PM
6

Because there is a nuance that makes a HUGE difference. Women are not attracted at first sight to most men. But once women get to know a man, that can and does change. And on top of that, we aren’t all attracted to the same men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:27 PM
1

You’re comparing being friends with someone and accepting friendly generosity with deceiving a stranger in order to make money.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 06:38 AM

Not remotely comparable. Why do you need to come up with analogies? Just give clear examples of what you’re talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 03:28 AM

Well ok I stand corrected! But be honest now: that’s not why you avoid clubs, is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 04:17 AM

Ah yes, a study from Miracle Ear, the hearing aid company. Did you read it? Seriously who avoids clubs for their hearing?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 04:06 AM

I went clubbing all through my 20’s and am not deaf or hard of hearing. Most Gen Xers went clubbing and are not deaf. You sound a bit uptight.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 12:45 AM

I don’t know what you are referring to. What is this consolation prize? What is it you are asking specifically, and of whom?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 11:22 AM

We all have to deal with not getting things that we want. What is the purpose of talking endlessly about it and letting it consume you?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 05:13 AM

Enthusiasm during sex and initiating sex for one. And telling him of course. How do you know about the intimate details of the women you know and their partners?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:53 AM

Who wears earplugs to a club?!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:41 AM

How does her prioritizing safety result in her having sex with less attractive men? And who is prioritizing safety when it comes to a one night stand? They’re taking a risk. The safe option would be not to have the ONS.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 02:56 PM

They do, but not immediately because women’s sexuality works different. She feels the most intense urges towards the guy who has already shown her he is safe and can give a lot of pleasure. I’ve never felt a “primal urge” for a stranger.

Where are you getting this stuff? 99% of women have not done these things with a guy they were not attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 04:36 PM

Yes, privileged people are privileged. How much time do you spend bemoaning people who are born wealthy and had everything handed to them on a silver platter? How much time do you spend being upset that you don’t have the body of a professional athlete? What is the point in endlessly talking about how good looking people have privilege?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 04:25 PM

Getting what you thought you wanted when you met the person and being happy long term are two very different things.

But some of you are oblivious and others just never are the ones getting hit on.

Creepy comments and harassment are not -in my mind at least- cold approaches. I guess there is some overlap but generally, the creepy comments come from someone who knows he has no chance with you so isn’t actually trying to get a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 01:37 AM

Very rarely. I don’t know what your point is? Most men also rarely cold approach. It rarely works.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 11:48 PM

Most men who hang out around feminists will experience that. Like seriously in my very progressive city the women make the first move half the time. But you won’t find all of them attractive…

You said confidence “conveys the wrong principles.” Can you share what the wrong principles that confidence conveys are? That was my question.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 10:33 PM
1

Did you read the OP? No, people don’t necessarily know what they are able to pull off, that was the back flip example. As someone who works with people on building their confidence as a part of my work. I think OP makes a lot of sense. People with confidence issues consistently underestimate their abilities and overestimate their limitations.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 10:29 PM
1

What does that even mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 10:21 PM

Says who? No professional would say that. It’s black and white negative thinking that just causes unhappiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 09:46 PM
2

What was self-righteous about that statement?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 07:09 PM

Cold approaches have a very low chance of working and neither gender should be focused on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 06:45 PM

If you spend time in places or social circles where a lot of those women are, you will find that they DO have agency and make the first move/ask guys out all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 06:16 PM
3

If you’re talking about cold approach, because I have no way to know if he thought I was special before I approached him because guys will say yes to women just to get easy sex. When I was dating I did make subtle “first moves” with guys I already had become acquainted with. In those cases, I had already seen signs he was genuinely into me and had vetted him so to speak.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 06:14 PM

What principles is confidence conveying that are bad? Are there any social scientists that say this?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 12:23 AM

“Every guy” does not find partying difficult. It’s literally fun and the most normal thing in the world for young people to do. Drinking is a huge factor because it lowers those social inhibitions. It sounds like social anxiety has kept you from building a social life. That sucks! But it was not at all common until recently. I don’t even know if it is common now, just more common than it used to be. And it sounds like you saw the work you did to become social something you only did to get laid? …
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 12:05 AM

It’s only recently that “the ability to consistently get casual sex” was something men felt entitled to/got upset over. It used to be accepted that many men could not pull that off and it wasn’t valued like it is now. Especially the idea that you could get that without being out there, going to bars and parties and making the moves on women. You had to be both good looking AND outgoing and fun to get a lot of casual sex. You had to get on the dance floor, you had to have friends and a very activ…

Not true at all. The vast majority of adults did not call people ugly in the 80’s s, 90’s or 2000’s . Just “unattractive.” And it’s a manosphere thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 10:48 AM
-2

Well for starters, they don’t call people “ugly.” When did this become common?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 05:45 AM

Please explain how that would prove that most women have hooked up with Chad?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 03:18 PM

That’s not what we mean. If you have an active social life and are part of social circles, those will include women and will include both men and women who could introduce you to women outside the social circle. You should befriend women because they are people and you should have friends. Some of those friendships will lead in some way to dating. Meanwhile, you are getting all of the benefits of a social life and can still be on dating apps and cold approaching women as well if you really want …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 03:15 PM

Ha! Most women have never hooked up with Chad. You’re delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 05:11 AM

Cheating is common. Pretty much every woman I know has been cheated on at some point. You move on and find new love and don’t think about it anymore because you’re not still in love with that guy. Men do the same. And yeah, divorces can be messy and hurt for a few years. But none of that compares to the suffering that comes with giving up on love, going cynical and transactional. Those guys are miserable because of their attitude, not because they’re divorced they were cheated on. It’s how they c…
/r/ExRedPill07/08/25 05:07 AM

So having a social life and friends of both genders is “wasting time?” Why can’t you also be doing the “cold” stuff?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 02:49 AM
8

Women are advised to do just that though. In fact, I was hearing about that before I heard about it being suggested to men.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 11:52 PM
1

“Would the same be said if roles were reversed?” You have GOT to be kidding me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 11:49 PM
2

It’s a big reason I decided not to have kids. So many friends told me how their clean, tidy partners changed after marriage or having kids. I lived with a married couple once (roommate in a large house) and watched it happen. He just wasn’t as willing as her to give up the free time and sleep when the baby came. I don’t think society prepares men for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 10:22 PM
11

This 100%. I have never had a one night stand despite a huge sex drive and lots of opportunities (especially when I was younger.) Never appealed to me. If I’m having sex, I want to be satisfied and a stranger is not going to care enough to provide the experience I am looking for. My attraction comes mostly from an emotional bond anyway,
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 10:09 PM
4

Men are known for changing in this regard after marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 05:01 PM
8

Absolutely not. Boomer men like my Dad expect a house to be clean. Houses in film and TV, which is written and directed and produced by men, are neat and clean. Rich bachelors hire maids to keep their houses neat and clean. Corporate offices run by men have neat and clean presentations. Psychologically, we also know that meat and clean has a positive effect on our moods.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 04:59 PM
6

Hahahaha yeah that’s what he’s trying to say I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:38 PM
17

I’m definitely as horny as men but not for casual sex. How do I know casual sex is going to satisfy my horniness? I have zero desire for bad sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:34 PM
8

You’ll have to explain why “different neurogenesis” results in different feelings towards people we aren’t attracted to of different genders. Feels exactly the same to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:32 PM
9

Go back to school…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:29 PM
8

At first sight. For those of us that applies to , it’s just initially. For me, if I don’t know the guy I really don’t feel any kind of strong attraction. That cones later after we’ve established a bit of intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:25 PM
3

Lol you really missed the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 03:19 PM
4

You misunderstand how those standards work. If I’m just going on looks, few men are immediately attractive to me. Once I get to know someone, that changes, sometimes drastically. And that is what other women would say as well. The way you know many women have lower “looks” standards is by looking around and seeing all the couples were, the woman is more attractive than the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/25 07:15 PM
3

Sure, but why is it important to make that delineation?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 11:18 PM
2

Yeah I tend to agree. I am obsessed with my cats and I live to travel but neither are hobbies in my mind. That being said, I can still learn a lot from someone if they describe their pets or travels their hobby. I know they find a lot of meaning in those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 10:57 PM
3

That’s hard to answer because there’s just so many hobbies and everyone seems to have their niches. But the ones I probably see the most are hiking, cooking, gaming, some kind of art (drawing, photography, painting, ceramics, etc.), writing, film, studying of a niche subject.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 10:48 PM
6

More like he is drawn to a certain look “type” and that type is super shallow. When most of the women you see are from porn, social media, OF, your idea of what is attractive gets really skewed and you find yourself thinking that women’s most common hobby is makeup and celebrity gossip.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 10:34 PM
5

Sounds like you only start convos with women who look a certain way and then wonder why they are so shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/25 10:29 PM
6

So you believe that only a relationship that is not for life is a failure? Why is it “feminist ideology” when clearly men are the most eager to jump from woman to woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 10:11 PM
9

The idea that a relationship is only successful if it lasts forever is not healthy. You need to be able to see the benefit and value in relationships and most do not last forever, whether romantic or platonic.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 07:25 PM
1

It’s instructions on how to correct unreasonable standards that are causing suffering and loneliness. I don’t see women here defending high standards for looks with men, but whenever I run into that in real life, I push back on it. Just a few days ago I was pointing out to a female friend that her desire for a “hot” guy was causing her to choose men who were completely incompatible with her. If you want to be treated well, that has to be the trait you seek above all others.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 05:40 PM
2

Again, what do you mean “goes out of their way not to reciprocate?” Reciprocate what and goes out of their way how?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 12:34 AM
2

The problem is the average couple is not good-looking /very attractive. The average guy isn’t super charismatic or a rugby player or whatever. Many are overweight and dating an overweight woman, yes. Like the vast majority of people fall into this category that you are saying doesn’t really exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 12:31 AM
1

I see them everyday and in my social and professional circles know many, many couples like this. Like over 100. My work is very social and personal so I get to know ppl that way. So you don’t even think these couples exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 12:27 AM
2

I think a lot of ya’ll think attraction is a static thing. Who/what kind of people you are attracted to can change and is heavily influenced by what kinds of people you are exposed to, looking at, and fantasizing about. If you greatly reduce the amount of super hot women you are looking at and masturbating over, you will find your “standards” change.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 09:58 PM
0

How do you explain the guys who aren’t physically attractive or rich and have partners? I know so many men in that category. Yes, there are unattractive guys who haven’t had a date in years but for every one of those guys, there’s an unattractive guy who’s married or has a girlfriend.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 06:27 PM

There is a huge difference between “being kind/having a good personality makes a difference” and “if you’re kind you WILL be successful with women,” especially when Red pillers interpret success with women to mean success with a certain type of women. Redpillers often don’t want to count women they aren’t attracted to in the equation. “Bluepillers” aren’t claiming that you’re going to land a woman out of your league with a good personality. That certainly happens, but those guys are extra charis…

Except the status quo doesn’t say what OP claims.

What do you mean “goes out of their way not to reciprocate?”
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 11:38 PM
10

That’s infatuation, not “being in love.” Dude you have some really warped views that are only going to cause you suffering. I hope you can find healing and I mean that sincerely.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 11:30 PM

So you’re saying that not dating Bob/ turning him down for sex/ politely breaking up with him is the equivalent to kicking him in the balls?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 11:26 PM
1

Ok first off, Cosmo? Dude, just pick a feminist publication or feminist scholar. I’m not saying feminists don’t ever read Cosmo, but for the most part we really don’t like Cosmo! It’s a beauty and fashion magazine, not a place people go to read up on feminist theory. Second, part of the “pick me” MO is not liking feminists! It even says that in the first article you posted. If you want to say feminists criticize gender non-conforming women, then find something with them using that term. I mean s…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 03:22 AM
1

How is a pick me girl gender nonconformist? And why are you saying this is feminist writing? This is from a business website. Can you link something that is explicitly feminist? Maybe I just don’t understand your claim?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 02:23 AM
1

I have definitely never seen that. What are you talking about? I live in a super feminist city which also has one of the highest percentages of gender nonconforming and non-binary ppl and I never see that. Feminists are the ones criticizing those stereotypes and were the first to say gender is a social construct. It’s conservatives that are uncomfortable with “masculine” women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 02:04 AM
1

I don’t know who that is or why this one woman cancels out feminist theory and literature? Ever heard of “The Feminine Mystique?” Feminist classic which addresses exactly what you are talking about. It was published in 1963. That’s how long feminist have been saying the thing that you say they aren’t saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 11:30 PM

If you were to read the works of feminists you would see the things you are looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 08:48 PM

Says nothing about strangers. “When you’re consistently rescuing a loved one from the potential consequences of their choices or behaviors, the likelihood is you’re not actually doing them any favors in the long run.” Person I replied to is trying to claim that professionals think enabling service workers is a thing. It’s not.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 03:43 PM
6

You just can’t imagine practicing that kind of empathy. Keep in mind, we are talking about instances where we find the service lacking. That’s pretty rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 03:40 PM
6

I asked for you to back up your claim about enabling people in the service industry. So that was just BS you made up, huh? I’ve never only gone on one date with someone btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 09:54 PM
4

Please send me evidence that having empathy for service people is considered “enabling” by the experts on what types of behavior are enabling.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 08:14 PM
6

I’ve never hired a plumber, so I cannot answer with certainty. I think you are looking at this in a very black and white way. I am not always as empathetic as I would like to be. But generally, as I go through life and deal with many people who are providing a service to me in someway, whether it would be a cashier or Restaurant Server or the maintenance guys is at my apartment building, I always try to consider what might be going on with them and the challenges they are dealing with that might…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 08:06 PM
5

A badge of honor to be used by a man? That’s ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:50 PM
9

I still see the cashier as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:05 PM
9

That last paragraph is WILD. Get out of the house dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:03 PM
4

Great point!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:02 PM
2

Ha! Media plasters images of “hotter” women everywhere for mass consumption. Men consume porn daily. What you’re describing is a fraction of what women go through and have been through for decades. Knowing we will never be as hot as the women on TV, in movies, in the porn you jack off to.
/r/ExRedPill27/07/25 07:54 AM
2

I don’t see this stuff IRL.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 09:49 PM
1

Leadership isn’t about bossing people around. I’m not one of those women you’re referring to per se. I like taking turns leading with my partner. And that never involves telling the other person what to do. It’s about taking initiative, coming up with a plan while thinking through everyone’s needs and desires, helping others through a difficult moment or period of life, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 09:41 PM
1

But you compared those things with women-centric subreddits.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 07:49 PM
1

Yeah because men respected us SO much more before we had women-only gyms… The vast majority of men have no issues with the very few women-only spaces. They don’t seem to have issues respecting women.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 07:46 PM
1

I only had one year of college on a campus. I had a blast in my 20’s after not having much of a social life in college. Think of all the people who don’t go to uni. It’s not a necessary step to having a social life. But you’ll need to do the work and put yourself out there!
/r/ExRedPill24/07/25 09:01 PM
1

Again, most people have never been pulled out of a burning building and most men have not rescued anyone from anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 03:51 PM
4

Most men aren’t beating and killing womem women. Most men are also not protecting women from those things. I did not reference the bear scenario and would far rather come across a man in the woods than a bear in the woods myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:07 AM

Not sure what your point is?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 04:01 PM

Men have threatened my safety far more than they have protected me. You’re saying if I was dropped in the Congo men would appear to save me?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 04:01 PM

It’s not common.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 03:58 PM

They do?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 03:56 PM

I mean most women go our entire lives without any of those things happening. And the vast majority of men haven’t ever “rescued” a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 06:38 AM
1

Are you married?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 04:14 AM
2

Plenty examples, just look around. But why would an unattractive guy expect to get an attractive woman in the first place? It feels like you’re moving the goalposts.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 01:14 AM
4

Great social skills are the biggest factor for "unattractive" guys, are you kidding? That’s how they attract women!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:34 PM
2

Why do you think we are trying to "achieve" something?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 05:52 PM
1

Never be rich. Never be good-looking. Never be able to walk. Never be able to have kids. Never be able to retire. Never be tall or thin or have big boobs. People accept their limitations and move on.
/r/ExRedPill31/08/24 02:13 AM

Being in love is something that happens between two people. If the other person didn’t feel the same way, then that’s what I mean by "I’m sorry you’ve never been in love."
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 01:16 AM
3

I’m sorry that you’ve never been in love. Your experience is just test, your experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/24 04:28 AM
6

These guys give themselves away. Is it possible to hide it on dating apps? Sure. But once a conversation starts it comes out. And when a guy is carrying a lot of anger or resentment towards women you can absolutely feel that. He acts hostile even when he’s attracted to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 05:29 PM
1

Where do you live? I’m thinking it’s a more conservative place? Because in my progressive city, women don’t expect that at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/24 06:54 PM
2

Not if you only date women who don’t expect you to pay. The idea is to state up front you like to split the check snd then only match with likeminded women. There are plenty of us out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/24 06:52 PM

Haven’t seen a single one. Are you seeking these women out?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 10:20 PM
3

Where are these women complaining about being "pumped and dumped" constantly?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 06:15 PM
1

Wtf does that have to do with being a virgin?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/24 07:01 AM
0

I don’t understand what about your behavior is immoral? I think that you are simply not into non-monogamy and therefore not being authentic and that makes you feel like something is wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 10:16 PM
3

You’re ignoring people’s questions. Why post if you won’t engage?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 05:52 PM
2

Gold digging is disgusting. But in my life I’ve never known a woman like this. The vast majority of women are not like this and focusing on that small percentage is not good for your mental health.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/24 06:18 PM

Good riddance? This is something I’ve said to partners and close friends. With nothing but compassion. And I didn’t "get rid" of them. You sound so incredibly bitter.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 12:10 AM
1

Pretty old! But I work with a ton of Gen-Z and see how they date.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 12:08 AM
-3

It’s not meant to be thrown in someone’s face. It’s literally how good friends and therapists help people move past grief and depression. You’re reading it as if I’m saying "suck it up!"
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/24 01:22 AM
1

Many do, thanks to therapy and putting in the work.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/24 07:21 PM

We absolutely can. It takes time and sone work though.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/24 07:19 PM
4

That’s exactly what you would say to a woman who cannot conceive. Or anyone mourning something they won’t be able to have. Disabled people have to go through this as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/24 07:18 PM
1

What’s that stat pulled from?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 08:49 PM
0

You just throwing out these stats? Maybe that’s true, maybe it isn’t. But majority just means over 50%. That still leaves a ton of people. My point is you’re really loose with your facts. I think your feelings are the driving factor behind what you believe about the stuff, not the actual data.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 05:46 PM
6

So most guys are "dense?" And we should still want to date them? I think most men can read signals of attraction. It’s a small, cringy percentage who can’t. But it’s something that can be studied and learned if someone wanted to apply themself. Anyway, you’re going to get rejected less if you at least try to see evidence of mutual attraction before asking someone out. Just walking up to a stranger only works for hot or reallllly charismatic guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 05:39 PM
0

Your generalizing stats. For instance, most men *in their 20’s” are single, not most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 05:35 PM
6

Stop "trying your luck" with women. Cold approach isn’t for just anyone. Make friends, get a social life, and wait to ask someone out until there are signs of mutual attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 04:30 PM
1

Because a woman has sex with one man once you’re saying that means she can have sex anytime she wants? You’re being ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 04:05 PM
1

And that means… she could get sex anytime she wanted it? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/24 04:01 PM
1

Yeah, I don’t see 60 year old women being able to have sex anytime they want lol. Or 50 year olds for that matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:13 PM
-1

Most women aren’t single though. What you’re describing is nothing like what I see in the real world. And these number ratings aren’t real either. An 8 to me could be a 5 to another women. And we don’t rate men like that anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:11 PM
2

No, you’re not. This is so far from a mathematical proof it’s ridiculous. Your feelings and impressions are not data. You moved the goalpost.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:08 PM
0

Why are you asking me to agree to a different point now? That’s called moving the goalposts. I would never have said a word of you had just said "women have an easier time getting laid." But you didn’t. You made what I now assume were wildly exaggerated, emotionally based claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 09:01 PM
1

Wait, now your argument is just that women in general have an easier time getting laid? That wasn’t your original claim… So you were just using hyperbole?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 08:46 PM
-1

Why do you believe that nonsense? Most men are in relationships. Getting laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 08:41 PM
0

Neither of those are true. You’re taking things that apply sone of the time to some people and saying they happen all the time. And you’re just proving that less than average looking women are invisible to some men because you didn’t even include them! That’s like 40% of women!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 08:26 PM
1

What? I do not and have never had "unlimited sexual options." I was not given the benefit of the doubt when reporting sexual harassment or assault. Ya’ll are delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 08:10 PM
8

This is so far fetched I don’t even think your redpill bros are gonna back you up. You’re just making shit up.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 02:39 AM
4

I’d counter there are just as many feminists homesteading as tradwives. I live in one of the most feminist areas of the country and the number of people who grow their own food, make their own stuff, raise chickens and dream of a homesteading lifestyle is pretty high. I don’t think tradwives are all examples of toxic femininity, but it’s where you see pockets of it and it’s where you see criticism on this sub towards women from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 12:45 AM
3

That’s my answer. I didn’t say anything about homesteading so I was confused by your reply.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/24 10:43 PM
2

….nothing….?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/24 10:00 PM
3

This is funny. A couple days ago there was a post saying why don’t women call out "toxic femininity." Well, that’s what this is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/24 09:18 PM
3

More like men complain incessantly her end women challenge them or try to set the record straight. The women here are mostly in relationships with men and know most men are not like the men here. So no, we don’t see a need to segregate.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/24 12:42 AM
2

I don’t have different standards for him than I do myself. Emotional maturity, kindness, confidence, creativity, sense of humor and knows how to have a good time. Plus similar values and interests of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 08:09 PM
19

The redpill doesn’t say toxic femininity exists, it says all women have these toxic traits. And you clearly haven’t studied feminism if you think that it teaches that women are made of sugar and spice and don’t be engage in any toxic behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 07:31 PM
8

But a lot of guys can give her that. And once a week isn’t nearly enough for most women. That who,e standard is pretty low.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 06:56 AM
1

Lol, I’ve literally never seen a bouncer outside the restroom in a club. This is totally location specific if it’s true.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/24 11:17 PM
1

It’s who you’re hanging out with. Values vary greatly from social group to social group. Where I live, I’m certain most men consider their partner their friend. Also, maturity is a factor. How ethical and mature are your friends overall?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 03:04 AM
1

I totally get why you would do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 03:42 PM
8

Most men do not do this stuff. This is stuff you do and frankly it’s weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 03:32 PM
1

Why does that even mean? ND date ND men too. Why are you so pessimistic about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 05:23 PM
1

Where? What do you mean "defending fatties?" You know full well there aren’t a bunch of fat women complaining about their options like the men here.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 05:13 PM

Why is spending time with your partner being "tied down?" There seems to be an assumption that he’s doing it out of obligation, not because he prefers her company.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/24 04:00 PM
1

I don’t think you understand what a partnership is…

They do. There are no posts of women bemoaning this situation.

Your last sentence makes me think "so why would I want to date you?" But I’m NT. A ND woman would likely prefer your company since you’d understand her better. And relationships start and end all the time. Plenty of single ND women out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 05:10 AM

I didn’t say men shouldn’t hit on women. But generally speaking, if a woman doesn’t want to date you, she’s not going to compliment you causing you to think she’s attracted to you and you to hit on her. It is exceptionally rare that a straight man will compliment a woman’s appearance if he’s not attracted to her. I don’t think you have the experience to be drawing conclusions about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:35 AM

Yes of course. Why do you think that’s some kind of gotcha? It’s literally my point.

Ha! And wait 20 years for men to evolve meanwhile they are hitting on us and complaining that we led them on? Men don’t compliment women they aren’t attracted to either. Why is this a problem?

When I go out by myself I’m not necessarily looking to talk to anyone. Just read a book/my phone. At a pub quiz would probably chat with some people though. If you go to the same place repeatedly, you’ll definitely end up making friends there.

I don’t think when people say that they are referring to what hobbies or topics you discuss. They are referring to a person acting different around women or a woman they are attracted to. And it’s advice given when a man asks why he struggles with women and/or says he doesn’t know what to say around them. In fact, the vast majority of the times I see someone say that to someone it’s because a guy says "I don’t know what to say"or "what should I talk about." You see it on the social anxiety subs …

/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 06:11 PM

Everyone has "emotional baggage." Most of our baggage comes from childhood, not adult relationships. You do and will gain more. That 20 year old that you think has no baggage is less emotionally mature than the 25 year old you think has baggage. The 25 year old who has learned a few lessons will actually treat you better and have more self-worth than the 20 year old who still hadn’t processed her childhood trauma.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 06:09 PM

Unless you are at that standard already, she won’t be interested in you. It’s not her holding you personally to a standard, it’s her not even getting involved if you don’t hold that standard for yourself. If you don’t what to treat women like shit, why does any of this bother you?

There is no way of knowing someone is mature? Really?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 04:39 PM

There is a difference between choosing a man who puts in the work and telling a man he needs to put in the work. She is choosing the man who already has those qualities. So she wouldn’t be saying anything that he would be reacting to.

It certainly was in the past so I’ll agree that men might drive more. But I don’t think they should have to, so it doesn’t work as an argument for you. That’s because he generally prefers it though. I don’t see what that has to do with the bag. Women shouldn’t have to carry a giant bag/ carry everyone’s stuff. The whole "she already has a bag" thing is absurd. If the guy wasn’t making her carry everything, he would also have a bag. The idea that she should have to lug around everything (which is…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 08:25 PM
1

I don’t agree that men do all of the driving. I think women do more, taking kids to and from school, to appointments and sports practice, grocery shopping, errands. How can you say "what does she even do?" Surely you know women are more likely to be doing the cooking, cleaning, errands, helping with homework, etc. She Carrie’s a bag to carry her own stuff and the kids stuff. The same reason men carry bags. Why should women have to pack and carry all of the kids stuff?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 08:18 PM
1

Ok thanks for clarifying. Why is it fair fir her to have to carry all of the kids stuff? It’s extra weight but it also means she is the one packing everything and keeping track of what needs to be brought.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 11:25 PM
2

It’s your first two sentences I don’t understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:31 PM

Male kids’ birthdays are celebrated just as often as girls. It’s absolutely expected to celebrate kids birthdays and holidays. And women do far more of the planning and labor of those events.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:27 PM
2

Sorry I don’t understand your response.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:24 PM

We aren’t talking about random gatherings. Christmas, Mother’s Day, birthdays, school-related functions. People EXPECT these to happen and expect women to plan them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:13 PM
1

Yesssssss
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:11 PM
3

But those things aren’t what "emotional labor" is referring to. It’s a confusing term. It’s referring to planning, scheduling, preparing, remembering birthdays (and often doing the shopping, etc. With kids, thinking about their development. it really should be called mental labor.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:08 PM
3

Because he is equally capable of carrying a bag. You really don’t see the issue with expecting someone else to carry all of your stuff?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 07:01 PM
1

If we are talking about social gatherings that are expected then that doesn’t work. Thanksgiving, kid’s birthdays, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 06:59 PM
3

How do you do that when there is kids involved? She stops making the doctor’s appointments, kids don’t go to the doctor. Etc.

Most women don’t though. Stop hanging out with trashy people.

Hardly any women are SAHM. Why even mention it, that’s not the norm. Women work those shitty jobs too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 03:18 PM

Why are you saying "yours?" Child support only comes in to play if the child does exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 03:15 PM
1

My point was that both parents are hit in the wallet, but the woman also has to bear the child. So it’s not fair, you can’t make it fair. The bottom line is that child support is for the kid and if fathers don’t pay taxpayers will.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 03:14 PM

Her wages are "garnished" too if that’s shag you’re calling supporting a kid. It’s not like the mother doesn’t have to do the same. How is what you’re describing fair to the kid? You aren’t addressing my point that there is no way to make it "fair."
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 02:53 AM

But that is happening to most people no matter what. The woman also has to work. The people without kids have to work. And it’s not comparable to pregnancy and childbirth.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/24 02:50 AM

Reproduction isn’t fair. It’s not equal. The reason women gave that extra right is because it all happens in her body and she can’t escape the physical effects. She can’t dip out on the pregnancy and birth and just pay child support. Her body is never the same after the birth. That’s why we say "my BODY my choice." Not my wallet my choice. It’s happening inside our actual bodies. No child support hurts the child, full stop. And if the father doesn’t contribute, then taxpayers have to. That’s not…

Mediocre is average. So that’s a bit better than just surviving. /r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 04:45 PM

I live in the Pacific Northwest and previously southern east coast. Have been making moves on men my whole life. Plenty of women in both places doing that. And in the PNW, a woman who expects men to pay is not highly regarded.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 12:26 AM

I’ve never been "forced to remain passive," nor have my friends. Women hit on men all the time. And women fo just as much if not more of the planning where I live. You’re not describing the world I live in. Are you in a more conservative or traditional area?

/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 12:03 AM

Wouldn’t what apply? Redpill men complain about a lot of stuff. That’s incredibly subjective. What we know is there are just as many overweight men and anyone can see by walking outside that plenty of women date overweight men.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 12:02 AM

They said “the bar is actually lower than the blue pill suggests.” Also, abusers don’t start the relationship out that way. Women don’t generally knowingly get into a relationship with an abuser.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 07:38 PM
7

Everyone learns, usually at a young age but that’s not real. I knew it wasn’t real as a pre-teen. I knew I’d never attract a super hot man by conventional standards and I moved on. Also, there is tons of media now showing dysfunctional relationships so I don’t see where anyone under 40 would have had those fantasies.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 07:34 PM

It’s just such a shifty thing to say about anyone and mature healthy people don’t talk about other people that way. But let’s not pretend redpillers use the word for men. C’mon.

I didn’t say there weren’t physiological gender differences, not even close. I agreed with another poster that we have more similarities than differences. I don’t know why you’re ignoring that and arguing that there are differences. Of course there are. However, much more of our brain structure, for instance, is the same. That is very basic biology and you won’t find any expert who says otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 04:29 PM

The only thing that is the same in men and women’s brains is the word? That’s ridiculous. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

That’s not how it happens in real life though. This whole theory is not based in reality. Just because a woman is cautious about certain things until she gets to know someone doesn’t mean she’s acting suspicious and on guard in any kind of off-putting way.

Yes hormones play a big part in our emotions. My point is the anger men feel that leads to much of that violence is an emotion.

Young people behave differently than adults. There’s far fewer bullies like that in the adult world. People don’t put up with it, they get fired from their jobs or arrested, and their victims have learned to stand up for themselves.

Like I said, welcome to the world of relationships. Loving people means worrying about them when they go out. Again, why do you think restricting her freedom would result in her being more committed to you? Why would she stay with someone who tries to keep her from having fun?

Welcome to the world of relationships and realizing your partner is going to have the opportunity to cheat, and that you can’t stop them from having the opportunity, you have to decide whether or not you trust them. You don’t own your partner. "There will be other guys there" isn’t an excuse to try and stop them from having a normal social life. If being in a relationship with you means your partner can’t go clubbing, or do other things that are really popular social activities for young people,…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 06:20 AM

That happens everywhere if the woman is attractive. She is far more likely to cheat on you with a coworker or someone in the social circle than a random guy at a club.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 04:05 AM

Shift her away from the most normal activities a twenty-something can do? Yeah that’s going to work. Young people party. I went to clubs and partied all through my twenties and it never caused me to cheat. In fact, the one time I cheated was because my boyfriend was being controlling and didn’t trust me.

So we could talk about beards but women don’t generally have them so it’s not really a great comparison. It would be like saying expecting women to wear a bra is a gender norm. I’m not sure why you’re assuming I have some kind of double standard. Gender norms are present for both genders and I don’t think men should be held to them any more than women should. I take it you don’t live in a major west coast city? I haven’t even seen a woman like the meme you posted recently outside of someone livi…

"It’s not a gender norm." "It’s a grooming habit for women." Maybe you misunderstood what I mean by a gender norm. It’s something only one gender does that’s not tied to biology. Like paying for dates and shaving armpits. Grooming is not a gender norm, but removing certain body hair is. And I don’t know why you keep insisting you know better than me who does what where I live. It’s been a loooong time since ‘dirty hippies" were a sizable portion of people here. Unshaven pits on women has no more…

Grooming and fitness aren’t gender-specific norms, they are things both genders have engaged in fit years, I don’t understand how that compares to shaved armpits.

Yeah none of the women I am referring to are ‘dirty, unkempt, etc." I live in the land of "hipsters." Definitely not "dirty hippies." Also most people who are about organic are well off and definitely not "dirty." Where did you get the idea I agree with these women who expect men to pay? Why are you going off on this with me? I’m totally opposed to that. What I’m saying is don’t expect a woman to play traditional gender roles if you don’t want to. That means expecting her to shave her armpits or…

It’s expanded FAR beyond hippies. I don’t hang out with any hippies and I’d say only half or less of the women in my social circle shave their armpits. A lot don’t shave their legs either. It’s coming from the exact same place as men not wanting to pay. And why does it matter? That’s my point. If you’re excluding "granola types" then you’re self-selecting for a demographic that, yeah, is more likely to enforce gender roles. A woman who spends two hours getting ready for a date so she can look "f…

I live in a major west coast city. Shaving armpits is part of a traditional gender role. Men who are attracted to women who are super into traditional feminine roles and are obviously materialistic shouldn’t be surprised when she wants him to also play a gender role.

Ok. So what does authority mean in this context, to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 12:00 AM

You are in the same situation as many, many underprivileged people of all sorts are. People have disabilities, were born poor, experience racism and sexism, get into life-changing car accidents, have to live with an abuser, etc. people learn to accept that they will never be _________ and move on with their lives. I had horrible acne when I was young. I accepted that I was not going to be considered “beautiful” and focused on other things. Being better and resentful serves no purpose.

This isn’t about a cashier, that was your bad analogy. Nevertheless, the cashier has skills and is an agent of the owner. Stop talking about a cashier and explain why the husband is more qualified to make decisions.

My dude. The people propagating these rules complain incessantly. The "rules" are not working for them. They don’t understand social dynamics and they aren’t successful in social dynamics. And none of these "rules" come from experts, who have backgrounds in the field of social dynamics.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 04:28 PM

The "rules" are made up. That’s the whole point OP is making. People desperate for a formula where there is none. Not everything can be generalized. I see people say things about women here that don’t apply to a single woman that I know. That only apply to a minority of women who happen to post a lot on tik tok or Instagram.

Whether or not it would apply, you generally see it used for rape. Why are people worried about a rapist’s life being destroyed? No one says that about other serious crimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 03:59 AM

Absolutely. I would expect them to treat a person reporting rape the same as someone reporting a mugging or assault (in regards to "believing" them.)

Nothing you’re saying is difficult to understand. But it’s pretty clear you’re just bullshitting. You’ve got all kinds of edgelord insults for the person challenging you, but you can’t back up your claim. You can’t answer the simple question of why someone would say no to something that feels good and that they enjoy with someone they’re already having sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 04:42 PM

Most trauma comes from our youth. Older women are more likely to have processed it. The term "baggage" isn’t clinical. I know redpillers like to throw it around, but it’s because they have antiquated views on virginity and imagine some kind of corruption happening over time. They idealize virginity. In actuality, young people are inexperienced, immature, and far more prone to "drama". I think we see that as people age, they have more experience sexually and are therefore less conservative.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 01:53 PM

There is nothing "objective" about your answer. What do you mean it "obviously" happens quite a bit? "Accept reality?" This is how you think you back up a statement? What you’re describing doesn’t even make sense. Answer my question: why would she say no to something that feels good and his enjoyable if she’s already having sex with you? What is my response "very telling" of? Why do you think you understand women better than I do?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 01:44 PM

Ok, that’s fair. But do you really think that the type of women you’re watching more closely are the ones more likely to have iPhones?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 02:18 AM

I can’t even tell by looking at a phone if it’s an iPhone, or an android. it sounds to me like you’re really materialistic and focused on stuff like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 03:26 PM

That’s not a thing that even happens. If she actually enjoys it, she would do it with you. Would you say "no" to something that feels good that your partner is trying to do to you? Except in very rare cases, she wouldn’t have committed to you if she didn’t find you attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 03:22 PM

Is this really a thing? How common is it for a woman to be less secure when she’s older with a result of being more conservative as far as sex acts go? What’s more common is that when women are young they do things that they actually don’t want to do because they feel pressured, or try things and realize they don’t like them, and then when they get older, they feel the confidence to set boundaries. And what’s even more common than that is as women get older, they get more adventurous in bed and …

I think that’s why you think flirting is "embarrassing." Pickup lines can definitely be cheesy, rehearsed, and cringe. The vast majority of harassment accusations do come from situations where people know each other (in the workplace.). Again, harassment is only illegal in the workplace. Flirting is more common amongst people who know each other so it’s more likely to happen in those situations where you are with people you have social connections with. Flirting isn’t "hitting" on someone. Where are you getting your impressions of progressive women? I think you’re misunderstanding the "women find most men unattractive" thing. what that means is upon first seeing or meeting someone we don’t find most men sexually physically attractive to us. It’s only over time as we get to know them that they become attractive. It does not mean that we think they’re ugly. They are just neutral. This confuses men because men can tell by looking at someone if they want to have sex with them whereas women rarely can tell just by looking at someone that they wa…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 03:21 PM

You’ve got to stop telling yourself this stuff. Sure, there are immature women who say things like that, but they are not the majority. If you’re not acting like a predator or staring like a creep, you aren’t going to get called that. and if you’re worried about women calling you weirdos, start associating with women who themselves are "weirdos". Again, don’t hear women using these words at all. You’re telling yourself lies, and those lies are making you feel like shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 03:20 PM

No, that’s ridiculous. You have very extreme ideas that don’t seem to be based on reality. most women also don’t think of men is ugly.
