Oh man. I‘m in the same situation and it is really hard to watch him get deeper into redpill/manosphere when his beliefs are questioned. I also asked ChatGPT for input. I feel like backing of this topic for a little is good and to talk about other stuff that you share. But every time I kinda nudge him about this / „planting a seed of doubt“, I feel like these times are limited until he eventually distance himself from me because I‘m not accepting him for who he is.

I‘m not really sure what you are trying to say here. Could you rephrase that?

Unfortunately I don’t have any academic resources that critiques this view. Just wanted to say that this reminds me of an answer someone else posted here a while ago: Most of these redpill views are somewhat based on science. Mostly these people pick certain parts and extrapolate it so it sounds like it applies to the majority of men/women. But the things they say are purposely vague enough to be accurate but too vague to be useful. I was at a point where I really wanted to convince someone with…

Girl, same. I was in quite a similar situation and it was so ridiculously stupid

Maybe the interest in military and third reich stuff is rooted in a need of belonging. Most of the men (from what I observed) that fall into this ideology want a type of camaraderie because they usually are somewhat lonely and have a low self-esteem (even if they would never admit that). Some try and gain „worth“ by bullying others and talk bad about them. They try and make someone else the scapegoat for all their misery. I guess that’s where this glorification comes from.

Is there a certain book of him that you would recommend?

I‘ve also read often that it would be best to cut people with these beliefs off. But, like you said, it would probably make the problem even bigger generally if everyone would just exclude redpillers and their views would just be encouraged.

Yeah, I think you’re right. It’s just hard to accept. You say that arguing/offering an alternative view could lead to the exact opposite from what I‘m hoping to do. How does he get alternative views then though? He said a couple of times, that he just wants to be accepted as he is and that he want to be able to say what he wants to say. I understand that totally but sometimes it’s just hard…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
