Yeah seriously. As a man whose wife out earned him by a factor of 2 when we married, comments like that that get upvoted here make me wonder if people in the subreddit have any conception of the sacrifice that giving up a career to raise a family entails. It's like they have this blase "well, you got married, sucks for you" attitude but then only apply that mentality to whichever spouse keeps their job. The level of ignorance is astounding.

In the article it states that the police said they have no evidence that she lied. Everyone in here with a strong opinion one way or another seriously needs to reevaluate their life. It's pretty obvious that you have some serious fucking issues. I know this sub attracts a minority of fucked up people but try not to sink to their level. Someone died. They killed themselves and there are two ways it could have happened. Option one, she made a false accusation and killed herself out of a combined s…

Are you one of those crazy people who thinks that all people who aren't convicted are actually innocent? If so why are you not applying the same standard to the woman?

Didn't they say they were going to use the money just to run the website? I don't think any of the donations are going to go to actual men's shelters or awareness. I think they're going to take it and sit on it. Despite the fact that I occasionally agree with Elam, I don't think he has a lot of integrity.

You missed teaching, which in my opinion is vastly underpaid in the US. It makes it so that the only people teaching are those you genuinely want to mentor young people (the good ones), and those who are too incompetent to do anything else (really bad ones) end up in the job. So essentially teaching in the US is a two tiered system that only attracts pretty good or pretty bad teachers. And I'm not convinced that counselling homeless youth isn't an honorable calling. It may pay shit but it's altr…

Agree, people only exist to serve your needs. If you only believe this about women, it makes you a misogynist, if you believe it about everyone, it makes you a realist (also a misanthrope). If you aren't getting anything out of a relationship, why would you care?

If you're an average person, (and let's be honest, most guys here are below average) it is not wise to expect above average results.

SMV is the idea that certain traits such as wealth can compensate for a lack of others, such as beauty. In this study the analysis shows that a much better explanation for mate choice is "trait matching" which essentially means that attractive guys are the only ones that can pull attractive women and rich guys are the only ones that can pull rich women. So it doesn't invalidate the idea that working out and becoming more physically attractive will get you more attractive women. But it does inval…

No it is not. It's a big red flag in the study that women look for men in their age group. This creates a soft wall for men around age 30-35 who are beginning to shift out of 29 year old women's preference range. If you want to marry a 25 year old then your soft wall will be 25-30. For you, at 30 it becomes a pretty hard wall BTW. I call it soft because it's gradual.

Why does a man go crazy when thinking of the woman he likes with another man? Why does a man feel pain when his woman beds another man? I very much doubt women feel this way. Pretty sure women get jealous, dude. I've dated jealous women before.
/r/askTRP28/10/14 07:22 PM
1

Oh, yeah. I forgot to include younger men. There's a pretty big habit of men to avoid dating women older than them. I don't even think you need to classify that as an outlier. But that still leaves a 29 year old woman with the option of most men above 29 while a 35 year old man has the option of women 29 and up.
/r/TheRedPill28/10/14 07:06 PM

I'm not sure people understand the serious consequences of this data. You should pay attention to the part where women select men their own age. It essentially means that any woman under 29 has literally the full spectrum of men to choose from while a man can probably only find women his own age. Because women look for men their own age and men look for young women, men have essentially created a soft wall for themselves. From ages 30 to 35 you are moving out of the 25-29 year old age range and …

Your explanation requires ignoring the fact that black people and women are treated differently by society and have different recent histories. So yeah, I'd think it's insufficient in many ways. But sure, keep name-calling and downvoting stuff you don't like. I'm sure if you do that enough, you'll somehow be less wrong.

That doesn't explain the differences between men and women. And it only explains why Asians and blacks are never hired for management positions if you think they're genetically inferior.

I remember being little. Kids do stuff like that, god this all brings back memories. For instance, if I wanted to go to a friend's house I'd ask my mom but if I wanted to have friends come over I'd ask my dad because generally they'd be more likely to say no in the reverse. The "not explicitly told not to do something" loophole was one of my most exploited tricks. When I got older, I'd sneak out of the house to go do stuff if I wanted to do something and there was a family event because I knew i…

This is great. It's exactly the kind of research that can give us clues ahead of when we'd normally be able to figure this out using direct study of how the brain itself works. The big problem with cross culture studies is that cultures aren't really randomly distributed, so it's hard to make too many claims based on a bunch of them. Especially in the context of globalization. That being said, it's a very clever way of going about this kind of research.

Testosterone is a good example of the sort of thing I'm talking about. It's a mechanistic pathway. So if you do studies on people and artificially change their testosterone, you can (not definitively but somewhat reliably) figure out what traits testosterone causally affects. It might affect these traits in some kind of loop or it might be more direct. Spatial reasoning abilities for instance, that's probably something that men are going to be better at even without confounding social influence …

You're not in this together. You have to do whatever it takes (dread game, emotional manipulation, staying fit and attractive) or else she will leave you. She has to do whatever it takes (being cheerful and fun, staying fit and attractive, emotional manipulation) or else you will leave her. Neither of you are in a relationship because you "love" the other person or some such bluepill crap. You're in it because it benefits you and so is she.

You haven't named even a tenth of all the possible hypothesis. Here's a good mechanism that explains how cultural traits are inherited even when a family has been removed from that culture for generations. So don't jump on the genetics bandwagon unless you actually know what you're talking about.
/r/TheRedPill24/08/14 04:38 AM

The problem is that we can fully control a dog's environment and figure out genetic traits easily because of that. We can't control how people react to different races or genders. Which means that you can never get rid of these confounding influences. A black guy simply doesn't experience the same world that a white guy does. People react differently to him, expect him to behave differently, and ultimately influence what he does with his life. In the context of human behavior, all we can say is …

Or more male primary caregivers so that when couples divorce, kids stay with the dad. Edit: Actually if I recall Sweden managed to change the whole "fathers are bad" stereotype by assigning a certain amount of required parental leave exclusively to men. So of course most men started taking it and suddenly no one was questioning the manliness of guys who want to be good fathers.

Jesus Christ, no we haven't. I've never had any experience like that in my life. Sure, it can be tough to be friends with women you want to fuck but how does that translate in a normal person's brain into following her around like a puppy dog? If you are incapable of being some chick's friend without doing this shit you need to seriously reevaluate your level of self respect. Did you read the article? It's not very RP at all. “I don’t need feminism because I believe in equality, not entitlements and supremacy.” Women are NOT equal to men, entitlements or not. Men are gifted with logical minds and strong bodies. Equality of station requires equality of ability. “I don’t need feminism because it reinforces the men as agents/women as victims dichotomy.” Men ARE agents, women cannot help but be passive. Maybe. I don't know. I've gone on a 2 week long wilderness expedition by myself once. The need for human contact was very intense. Much more so than the need for sex (except like right before I'm actually having sex, when I get horny like that all bets are off). Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of the trip, but it's really hard to go that long without meeting another person. I can't imagine what prolonged isolation would do to a person. So the major problem as I see it is that this kind of strategy is not going to be widely understood by the majority of users. That means that the ones that are here are going to be people who take what is being said at face value. The hyperbole created will become the true face of TRP. I like rational discussion, I like probing into things that academics don't like to talk about. This is one of the reasons I'm subscribed here. But none of that is possible when hyperbolic witticisms like AWALT ge…

There's so much cool research about mammals out there. Large size is sexually selected for in pretty much all mammals in both sexes. Which sex is larger actually depends mostly on the relative intrasex competition. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/785524

So all of TRP writing is hyperbole and not intended to generate rational discussion? That's extremely disappointing. And if it isn't, how do you expect regular users to be able to tell the difference between one mode of communication and the other? Judging by the shit show that happened with your last post, most of us do not feel the same way. OK, well we can agree to disagree. I very much doubt that a woman wouldn't at the very least be worried about STDs. Considering that the rate of HIV in the US population among heterosexual women is around 1 in 600 and women who regularly participate in high risk sexual activity are far more likely to carry it, you have around a 20%-50% chance of having had sex with someone who has HIV. And that's using a highly conservative estimate of number of sexual partners (100). Also considering that HIV t…

So you avoid telling them your number or lie or something? Because the way you wrote that it sounded like you thought they were attracted to the fact that you'd had sex with 100 women. I guarantee any women who hears that fact from a guy is going to think he is either lying or damaged. Honestly I'd probably think the same thing.
/r/TheRedPill11/07/14 09:08 PM

That's odd because studies show that women find men who have had sex with more than 5 women less attractive. I can't even imagine how unattracted most women would be to a guy who claims to have slept with a hundred women. Scientists who study attraction found that attractiveness for number of partners is a bell curve that peaks at 5 and then steadily declines. That women find men who sleep with lots of women more attractive is one of those things that most of TRP tends to believe based on an inc…

No offence, but you have a huge vested interest in discouraging the idea that PUA behavior might be a negative form of self selection for high quality LTR partners. Under the historically masculine system male children do better and under a new, more feminine system female children do better. Is that really a big surprise? Whoever is catered to is obviously going to do better in school and in life. Also, why is college your example of a less feminist teaching environment? That's basically where feminists come from.
