Friend, I promise you, you are severely underestimating what the right person feels like. Judging the capability of connection based on the average performers will only harm your own opportunity. An accurate view of potential requires seeing the top performers - and if they truly are top tier, I absolutely guarantee you boredom is NOT an issue. Give this idea a shot, keep an open mind - you will only gain from it. Wish you the best :)

The high divorce rates and boring relationships aren't problems with love itself; they're symptoms of picking the wrong person.

Remember: - The right spouse makes life infinitely better. - The wrong spouse makes life infinitely worse. Thus, it's moreso who you marry rather than whether you marry. This is why it's important to choose extremely wisely.

While SR definitely has an amazing impact on men, I don't know if it applies to women - they don't lose said life-force in the same way men do. Personal experience aside, there are also multiple super lively and youngful-looking elderly men I've seen who all point to SR as their secret to longetivity and graceful aging, along with the ancient practitioners of it you mention. For women though, there are other methods to maintain youthful - and best case scenario there'd be both self-acceptance an…

You make good points. I agree. The qualities you mention are superior indeed, and they can make a difference. Past experiences and learned habits are also very relevant in general since they will have an influence until they are broken - and for that there needs to be genuine conscious effort towards breaking them, via emotional maturity and effort to improve oneself as you say. You'd be surprised how little people actually put in said effort. You sound like an exception, so props to you.

Because the higher the body count, the lower the odds of succesful, lasting marriage. Once you learn to go "ah this won't work out, time to break up", that habit is difficult to break. So number of past partners is especially relevant for long-term partnerships.

As a man, I commend you for deciding to take the ethical route. Either he will accept and love you the way you are, or he will make space in your life for someone else who will. This is a win-win for both of you, in both cases. Honesty and vulnerability are key. Good luck!

It may not be shameful, dirty, or harmful to you, but to many people it is, for a multitude of relevant reasons. Promiscuity has a variety of negative effects, regardless of how normalized it is. The reason for said promiscuity is irrelevant in the end - because the higher the body count, the higher the likelihood of drauma, break-ups, divorce. So men care about body count for a good reason. Women should too, because the same applies. The degree of the lie doesn't matter - a lie is a lie. And it…

Thank you for this refreshing comment, you worded it much better than I did and I appreciate you for it.

Thank you for explaining why it was removed. I find it odd to have to explain why lying to one's partner is immoral considering the fact you've made a promise to be honest, but sure - here is my reworked response: OP, a relationship is based on trust. You made a promise to this man who trusts you and considers spending his life with you, and you lied to him, thus betraying said trust. Regardless of your love for him or reasoning for withholding the truth, being dishonest shows your respect for y…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
