| 4 | Do you ever think about how the "girls mature faster" argument is used to 1) excuse bad behavior from boys, 2) hold girls to a higher standard, and 3) excuse grown men's sexual interest in young girls, but never to give girls respect or positions of responsibility and influence?Only time I've heard girls mature faster is in sex ed and I'm reasonably sure that's true. (Could be wrong, small town) It was used with the context that girls start and finish puberty before guys start and finish puberty. "With that no mocking others general appearance and no unwanted physical contact everyone needs to respect each other physically and emotionally." -Mrs. M from 6th grade. That to me sounds like promoting respect | /r/AntiFeminists | 29/08/19 04:58 PM |
