You clearly have no idea what I’m saying. I’ve been in for 8 years so I know how it works. I’m asking why it is acceptable to pay an single service member less than a service member with a dependent if all other factors(Rank, TIG, TIS)

Sounds good on paper except that people get forced out of the dorms. You can’t just stay in them as long as you want even if you’re single.

Yes, that’s certainly true, but in the military most if not all of those have nothing to do with the extra BAH.

You say, “with the exception of the military”, but in reality while the the military pays both genders equally, people who are married or have kids get paid more even when all job factors (rank, time in grade, time in service, etc) are exactly the same. They somehow get around the law by calling it (BAH) an “entitlement”.

There are a couple things I think need to be brought up, especially with all of the high-profile accusations coming out now. First of all, there is the is issue of time. Most if not all of the accusations are about acts that supposedly we committed a long while ago, some even 20 or 30 years ago.
