Except that's not what chivalry is. Chivalry was a complete religious, moral, and social code. It spelled out how you should treat everyone and how you should act. I think it's true. The number of men who die performing their job is enormous compared to women. My father will probably never stop working, he'll never retire, he's diabetic, he has pancreatitis, and he's almost died both on the job and from illness numerous times. But he's always back at work as soon as he can be.
