Lottery ticket ? Dude you’re living in your parent’s basement. 😂

Why haven’t you filed with family court for temporary custody? She is not fit to be responsible for your child.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t go out and have sex, but you might have more success if you don’t say things that will make women cringe.

Well you can start by not ever saying “go out and slay some new meat”.

I just read your other post. Is there any chance that this BF is the father of your 6 y/o? The whole ILY thing is weird IMO.

Paralegals cannot give legal advice. (I am a paralegal.) Lawyers have specialized fields. Divorce lawyers fall under Family Law but googling “divorce lawyer” will work too. Do not tell your situation to the paralegal or who ever answers the phone. You just say you want to schedule a consultation appointment with a divorce attorney. That is it. When you go to your appointment the attorney will probably have a form for you to fill out. They probably won’t want to hear the whole story. What seems c…

Divorce Attorney. That’s what you Google and make an appointment.

Lol. Oh no! Not the mods! Do you really want to live in an echo chamber? No female voice? What’s really crazy is that you’re so hell bent on dismissing my comment just because I’m a woman. Your failure to differentiate the woman who hurt you from all other women is your fatal flaw.

I think it’s got to be trauma response. Post after post from men with very skewed and toxic takes on women and the world in general. I get it, they were hurt by their wives. But the toxicity they cling to perpetuates their miserableness. How can someone with this much trauma be part of a healthy relationship? What’s sad, is there are good women (and men) out there. Healthy relationships and happiness are attainable, but not until the emotionally injured can heal their wounds. I know women and me…

Ask them what they are thinking. Why are you being so passive in your relationship with them?

You’re the adult in this relationship. It’s YOUR responsibility to maintain a relationship with your kids. You are the one letting them drift away. Pick up the phone every day. Text your 14 y/o several times throughout the day. Arrange to see them regularly and plan fun stuff to do with them. Show up on time when you have plans. This is 100% on YOU.

Assuming the mortgage is only a solution if you are both on the mortgage. It’s just a way to remove a co-borrower from the note without having to refinance and lose a good interest rate. It has nothing to do with the equity in the property and your state’s rules about co-mingled assets.

Was your mortgage a VA loan? VA loans are always assumable. Most other loans are not.

The market could tank in a year and you’ll be further behind. Can you afford to keep the house? (if there’s no equity then the shouldn’t be a spousal buyout- she can just sign her interest in the property over to you) if not, sell it and split the loss.

She changed her mind. Or she broke her own boundary in a moment of weakness. Or she had the female version of post-but clarity. What difference does it make? You do you and move on.

She can have sex with you and then communicate her requirements moving forward. She’s not beholden to you. Are you suggesting that because she had sex with you once that you’re now entitled to have sex with her on your terms?

She’s entitled to have her boundaries w/o you calling her manipulative. You’re entitled to decline an exclusive relationship. But to call her manipulative for having some morals that differ from yours is ridiculous.

You need to see a lawyer. You’re entitled to alimony and child support if she makes that much more than you. You should also sell your motorcycle and buy a car so she can’t use that against you regarding custody. Start looking for a better job. If you’re talking about going back to school for a Master’s then you must have a bachelor’s degree? You can’t find a job making more than $30K? This marriage sounds incredibly toxic. Get out and save yourself and your child.

Stop taking legal advice from Redditors. The laws vary by state. Pay a lawyer to answer your legal question.

I didn't say you're dumping your problems on her.. I said don't dump your issues on her ... meaning, don't put this on her. She's a kid and she's dealing with the breakup of her family too, and she's probably dealing with some guilt about her feelings.

Oh man, don’t dump your issues on a kid. She’s dealing with her own issues. She’s not supposed to be your support system. Your text was nice and appropriate. You’re reaction to her not responding is where you need to check yourself. Keep in regular contact even if you don’t hear back from her. One way I stay in daily contact with my adult daughter, without being annoying, is we share our Wordle score every day. Sometimes it leads to a conversation, sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s a quick way to l…

Lol, because this echo chamber is full of men like you who have taken their bitterness from their failed marriages out on women in general at the expense of their children.

Again, this still makes no sense. When you and your ex were married you X combined dollars and there are X hours of child care responsibilities. Those numbers don’t change just because you divorce. If you see your divorce agreement is 30/70 then the 30 parent is going to pay more than the 70 parent towards the care of the child because the 70 parent has less time to “improve their financial situation”. Jockeying so that you have the better financial position at the cost of your child’s well bein…

That’s not the part that makes no sense. You said “if child support is going to put you in a financial hardship, let the mom take more than 50% of the parenting duties”. I don’t see how that relieves you of your financial obligations to your child.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 10:38 PM

This doesn't make sense. If you have your kids less, you don't pay less child support. Stop making babies if you are too cheap to support them.

Dude. Stop looking at other people’s conversations over their shoulder.

Who gives a shit about what this guy’s take is? He proposes after a few weeks and she accepted? Never mind moving her kids 5,000 miles from their father! They are both unstable. Can you insist on a background check on this guy? And a mental evaluation of your ex?

I’d divorce you.

Nah, you had no choice but to move on. She didn’t really give you any other option. Plus she cheated. It’s normal that you do not regret sleeping with another woman. I would think long and hard about reconciling with her. She only wanted you back after she found out her new BF was a loser and after she found out you had a new GF. Sounds incredibly manipulative to me.

Check out r/erectiledysfunction This isn’t uncommon and there’s some info there that will help you determine if it’s physical or psychological.

There’s never a good reason for cheating. She has convinced you that it was your fault that she cheated, but c’mon…. That doesn’t hold any water! If she was unhappy or felt mistreated by you, there were so many different paths she could have chosen besides cheating. IDK what the military allows in these circumstances but go talk to your CO and get your life back on track. Your daughter needs you to be strong right now.

Both you and your wife need to stop being selfish and start putting those children first.

In MA you can hire a constable to do this- not sure about other states.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
