Oh believe me I have no doubt that people attribute men with more agency. It's actually why I'm not the biggest fan of the term toxic masculinity, like i think I get the idea behind it. But like internalized misogyny is a term and if I'm not mistaken. They both mean the same thing for there respective genders. So why not use internalized misandry, unless you felt that men were more active I'm the role

I agree with you on people stereotyping men with sex, but less so on the director not intending the scene to be rape. Like they told the viewer what the drink did, they showed him refusing it. They showed the woman not accepting his no they showed him zoning out, and during the act the girl had to aim his head her to focus because he was spaced out.

Idk if the director wanted you to hate Christian at all. Like he's not a bad boyfriend at least In the movie. He comforts her, naturally can't immediately break up with her at the moment. But he supports, tries to include her In things hence the trip, hell he basically acquiesce to whatever he thinks she at the moment. The worse thing that he does is drag his feet in breaking up with her before the family thing, which is selfish, but not even the worse thing someone does even minutes into the mo…

I don't personally think his rape was to make him unsympathetic. We saw the events leading up to it including the act. We saw the love spell picture on the wall, as well as the ginger girl following said instructions, we saw him refuse the drink thag would have made him more open to suggestions. We saw them not take his for an answer as well as the mindset he was during the lunch. If anything this makes Dani unsympathetic since she makes a rash decision without any context. Despite Christian bei…

I imagine those are the same people, who see the movie as an empowering one for dani. We the viewers see the whole thing so idk how they would have missed that it was rape

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
