My last girlfriend (chronologically and philosophically) was a nurse. I thought she was a unicorn, turned out she was just holding a knife getting ready to stab me in the back.

Hey man, I ain't trying to call you out or nothing. But I really like the Friday the 13th movies. I don't appreciate you dragging down those fine examples of 80's cinema by associating them with this woman. If you could not do that in the future, that would be great, thanks.

I don't even feel its right to call what we speak in America "English" anymore. We speak "American" now. And that's not some shade thrown to our neighbors across the pond. I'm an Anglophile if ever there was one. But it's honestly two separate languages at this point with all the slangs, colloquialisms, et al. And again, that's not even meant to single out the "ladies" in this video. I mean they certainly deserve some singling out, but I'm not gonna shame them for their speech patterns when ther…

I saw a Tik Tok skit in one of those MGTOW compilation channels and the woman is talking to a man and he's holding up literal actual green flags as he speaks, but in the background there is a dude with a literal actual GIANT red flag and she runs to him instead while ignoring the guy holding multiple green flags. This is just that, without the comedic tone.

Anyone remember that scene in Mike Judge's Idiocracy. Where they explain how the human race went down the shitter because smart people over intellectualized breeding while dumb- fucks just bred like rabbits? Not sure why that scene just leapt to mind.

I replied directly to the other person's post, but it applies to any young man. If you're not on the red pill forums, please consider doing so. There is a wealth of information there. The whole place is basically set up to warn young men of certain behaviors and uncomfortable truths. May not be what you want to hear, but most of the men there know what they're talking about. And like all valuable knowledge, it's free and shared without asking a thing.

Any advice for young men such as myself? That's basically the entire point of this sub and the forum which spawns the bulk of its content. If i could go back and tell younger me a few things, it would be this: FItness is your greatest friend. I have trouble sticking to a gym routine, but try until you find one that works for you. That and work should be your main focus. And, frankly, if I were a young man today with the knowledge I have now, I'd just hire ladies of the night when I had "needs" t…

Same. I will forevermore refer to my last (chronologically and literally) girlfriend as my blue pill inoculation. She was the one that broke me out of the cycle of servitude that is dating and relationships. I've spent far too much of my 50 years of life in service to one woman or another. Never again.

When a man faces rejection or doesn't get what he wants, he asks "What's wrong with me?" and adjusts. When a woman faces rejection or doesn't get what they want, they ask "What's wrong with men?" and digs in deeper. Seen it a thousand times at this point.

Did none of these people watch Clerks? NO ONE WANTS TO BE NUMBER 37! I dub this fact, "The Rule of Dante". I mean, I hate that Smith has turned into such a weepy puss in his later years post-heart attack. But the man made some amazing stuff early on and it's still relevant.

Pretty much spot on with this take. Or at least that was my experience. I call my last girlfriend my blue pill inoculation. She destroyed me. Bailed on me in a god damned text message after 8 years. I'd have likely never come around to full red pill thinking without it happening. Believe it or not, I'm thankful. That shit hurt, but it was an education I won't forget. Knowledge does not equal wisdom, that much is certain. I've known so many people with degrees who are clueless on so many real world things it's scary. My best friend, for all his virtues and his degree, never made more money than me and I'm an uneducated doofus who happened to develope a few useful skills along the way. Not shaming "higher learning" or anything, it can be great when applied properly. But it's the first step to intelligence and wisdom, not the endgame.

I had a friend who hated that actor. Said his voice was like nails grating on the inside of his ears. Always made me laugh at how mad he would get when that guy starred in a new movie. "A smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from the mistakes of others." There is a whole course of knowledge to be gleaned from this dude and his situation. Not shaming him, he seems like a stand up guy. But he's also being used. He's being treated to the responsibility, but given none of the credit or reward for it nor is he demanding to be treated like the fatherly role to which he's been elevated. The comment section on this is pure gold. I'm guessing this has to be satire, or what passes for satire in the current clown world in which we find ourselves. However, the fact that we even have to wonder if it is or if it isn't says more than any clever quip I could utter.

Poor me with my two healthy children and a home and a man who's willing to stick it out if I just stop daydreaming about what might have been. This is so sad to see. No, I don't pity her. Imagine being so dense that you think a woman commanding attention from men is some kind of boon. While I hate assigning numbers to attractiveness, any woman over a 4 (or even a dressed up 3 if we're honest) could fill her datebook with little trouble. Of all the things modern women say that doesn't make sense to my half century brain, "Who hurt you?" is the one that makes the least sense. Who hurt me? Every woman I ever gave a chance to hurt me, that's who hurt me. That's also why I'll never let another one get the chance. In what way is that a "gotcha" on me? In most cases it's anecdotal evidence to the point. Just a curious oddity I wanted to call out, sorry for distracting from the thread.

Heh. I was being snarky, not trying to be factual. I'll take your word for it. Many women (mom, aunts, cousin) in my family have gone through it around this age, hence my comment. But, I'll defer to the stats you mention as I wasn't attempting a biography so much as I was being glib. Cheers.

Exactly what I was thinking. The men seeking a wife are 99 times out of 100 looking for someone to have a child. Not someone who's (likely) postmenopausal and coming in with tons of demands. I mean, I'm middle aged. So dating a 42 year old woman would be fine if I were looking to engage in such activities. But I already did the marriage thing and it blew up in my face. I already raised my kid who's now an adult. Why on earth would I consider marriage this late in life? (answer: I'd sooner eat nu…

I always find it suspect when anyone, male or female, describes themselves as "funny". Describing oneself as "I'm funny as shit, man" is pinging some klaxons for me here. What... does that, mean? Exactly? Because it sounds like you do stupid shit -probably loudly- and expect folks to cheer you on, ngl. I could be off on this one, but I've never met a funny person who described themselves as such.

Kinda what I was thinking too. Seeking advice means you're acknowledging that you have (or are) the problem. She's still framing it as something happening to her, not something happening because of her. This is just a validation grift. Forgive the paraphrasing here, but... The old saying "Never attribute to malice what can be easily explained by stupidity" is a real one and I get it. So often that is the case and it rings true. But as narcissism overtakes people and shame is being destroyed the people who I've seen lain bare are often just horrible. Malicious, selfish, and shocked when others don't share their solipsistic views. So I propose a new one- "never attribute to social kindness what is more easily explained by malice…

I have no proof of this other than anecdotal, but from what I've seen women do this to one another. Their friends know they could be happy if they made even a slight adjustment to some of these unreasonable standards. So the group wants to share their misery through sabotage and starts the whole "Girl, you don't need to settle for that scrub" mind games. I mean, sure he offers protection, stability, he's tall and looks after his fitness and makes a good wage... but girl, he's ONLY 6'1! Again, no…

Selfish parents raise selfish children. "Darling" child will leave ASAP because she treats him or her as a surrogate for her lost loves. That kid will bail at 17, desperate to do anything without mom offering her $0.02 on EVERYTHING. Grim perhaps, but that's the horse on which I'd bet.

You and I are of the same mind on this one. This "commodification" of people is truly disgusting. No concern for the man as a person, simply as a commodity to be used in service of someone else. Bish, you ain't Mark Zuckerberg. Stop acting like people are just another product to add to your life.

Just to be clear, I never intended to throw shade at ebooks. Reading is a wonderful hobby that I wish I could still do with regularity and hopefully will again someday (rough couple of years for our family). I reread Adams when I'm feeling blue. Call it mental masturbation or nostalgia or whatever, it always cheers me up. So, if I'm having a rough month or going through some stuff and can't seem to shake the funk, I'll dust off my old copy of the collected HHGG and read until I'm feeling more "u…

I don't have a philosophy about it, but I'm not far from what you're saying. I never hang on to books except true favorites like my copies of the Douglas Adams novels or something. And I do reread those every few years, so it makes sense to not have to rebuy paperbacks or something. I never got much into ebooks. Nothing wrong with them of course, not suggesting that. I just preferred to have the book in hand. Back in the olden days, when I actually had time to read, lol. Cheers.

I used to date a girl who legit thought that all it took to make people think your smart was to put books on the shelf. I asked her once what she thought of one of the books and that's how I found this out. "Oh, I haven't read them." "Oh, okay. Are you planning to read them, because I'd love to talk about them with you or we could both read them together or something if you're reading a book I haven't read" "I probably won't read them." "Then why have them?" "So people will think I'm smart." "Or…

As someone who tries his best to live a Christian lifestyle, I have to agree. I've yet to see a televangelist actually walk the path of the Lord. Nothing I hate more than some dong with an insincere smile and a fancy suit who's trying to take advantage of people's faith. It's probably one of -if not THE- slimiest thing one can do. It's almost hard to even get mad at it. If you were the type of person to watch popular media over the last 20 years, you'd be forgiven for thinking every man on the planet was a total tool with zero agency outside of what mommy-wife instructs him to do. It's pitiable. Not forgivable, but pitiable.
