Andor is a good show I'd recommend people if they actually want to see good, realistic, flawed characters both as villains and 'heroes.' Same for the male ones. It's slow to start but does a great job at avoiding stereotypes.

Pretty sure the groping part is what got the incel name branded over the assault. Incel is used loosely around these days- anyone who's considered sexually dangerous to women will probably be called an incel.

Yeah, it's pretty much lost all meaning. It gets thrown around like a ping pong ball.

Get better at reading comprehension. We're all firm believers of male advocacy. They emphasised that women suffer a lot, not that they do more than men and followed up by saying that it's useless to measure who suffers more because that doesn't get shit done.

Exactly. I live in India and am a firm believer in advocacy for men's issues but let's be honest, one does need to be self aware that women also suffer a lot of things under such a conservative country like mine.

The suicides make the majority of misandry-caused death so when people exclude it, it's pretty disingenuous.

Also the law only considers r##pe as something that is done by men only, and women can't be charged for r##pe. Yup, and whenever you bring that up, people keep saying that males aren't nowhere in the danger of being sexually harassed like women are, which as someone who's an Indian, I call BS. Women are probably raped in larger numbers and I won't deny there's rampant misogyny here, males most certainly get sexually abused, harrassed and raped. But we can't bring conclusive evidence to the table…

And helpful. Mind you, talking about people who shit on male issues will only give them the attention they crave. Better to highlight and promote those who properly speak out about and advocate for male issues; that'll get us much more positive attention.

It's saddening to see the sheer number of men who are homeless.

Indian here, you're absolutely right. Terrible condition for day to day wage workers here, men and women alike.

Can't believe their BS is upvoted in the first place. Feels like conservatives are leaking into this sub. "Women were never oppressed" is such a factually wrong statement. Like guys we can talk about men's struggles- which there are many of- instead of invalidating women's.

There are few aspects of feminism that hurt- and that also very, very rarely- women. Feminism is also too broad of a movement for you to make such a statement. Each country had its own with different ideals and goals to achieve.

There's like so much fear mongering amongst trans people. Like trans people constitute like less 1% of the population. They're extremely rare to come by. There's probably not more than 4-5 trans people in a city.

I swear a lot of real issues- or at least there's an attempt to- are just pawned off to the fault of videogames. With that aside, it's completely stupid and disgusting that he thinks that a huge proportion of young men are playing video games all day, maybe the rich ones are but they're so small in number as compared to middle class men who literally can't afford to do that. While he emphasises that they're going to cut off 'able-bodied' young men who aren't working, we have no idea what their d…

My country doesn't even trach data on domestic violence or rape against adult males. Teen males are tracked but under the category of 'all children.'

My knowledge on US politics is limited to both party's president elects. Are there any right-wing/republican politician who've brought up men's issues?

The issues of Indian males are heavily downplayed. As you've pointed out some very prominent social issues and grievances, I'll state some legal ones- Legal definition of rape in India doesn't even acknowledge that an adult male can be raped or being sexually harassed. (Although, male perpetrators, in the situation of non consensual acts to other males, can be charged under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. But of course, like almost every other law in India, they're barely reinforced.) Thus…

The issues of Indian males are not just heavily downplayed. Legal definition of rape in India doesn't even acknowledge that an adult male can be raped or being sexually harassed. (Technically, male perpetrators, in the situation of non consensual acts to other males, can be charged under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. But the nature of the punishment for such a horrible crime is too small. See below for yourself.) Whoever causes hurt to any person by doing any act so rashly or negligently…

Either that or outright just claiming that the study is biased or not done well enough.

Yes, and unfortunately, Reddit, because of the feature of subreddits, makes it very easy to create your own echo chamber.

Let me guess- the thing that got you banned from r/comics was supporting that comic strip calling out misandry

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
