There is a certain population of socially inept, rude, and selfish people in the U.S. I'm surprised we haven't shamed them out of existence yet, but yet they linger.

Pretty sure that Clarence Thomas said, of the "Bong hits 4 Jesus" thing in Alaska, that the bill of rights does not apply to students. That's just craziness.

caused me to puke the next morning if I missed a night and took 2 the night before. Pretty sure that's not what you're supposed to do in that situation, doubling dosage does not make up for a missed dose. Just saying.

It's actually not rocket science to figure out why some women are truly afraid of men as a category: because they've had such awful fucking experiences with them. Guys are shitty; shitty to women, all the time. It's not misandrist to be apprehensive around men. Um, yes it fucking is. That sort of broad stereotyping of ~50% of the population is exactly what the problem is.

Yeah, this seems like it would be un-sexist if it were just gender-neutral rather than specifying women. Most of those are good things to do to train new employees.

Calling ONE woman a slut for demanding 'free birth control' on all 'taxpayers' dollar. You're ignoring the implication that, in demanding free birth control, all women (who supported such legislation) are sluts. Birth control is a form of hormonal therapy, and can be helpful for many women's health issues; wanting to see it treated as such was by no means a slutty or prostitute-like action, so Rush was merely participating in more unnecessary slut-shaming. I could similarly claim that Sharon Osb…

I think your math's a bit off. The U.S. population is slightly under 300 million, and Wiki says the 2008 rape stats were about 90,000 (29.3 per 100,000 people). You said not including prison rape, and the 2006 stats say there were 2,200 allegations of prison rape, so we'll err on the safe side and assume none of them were lying. That means 88,000 non-prison rapes in 2008 (estimated), which out of 3 million people means .0003% of non-inmates were raped that year. The number of rapists is far hard…

Nobody's trippin, at least I'm not. Technically commas should go inside quotation marks, you're right, but I'm a computer programmer, so fuck the rules (I was, however, well aware of the rule and chose to ignore it for my own stylistic purposes). Anyway, I'm with you, we should all have a good time and get along, so have an upvote.

Again, a generalization. Some feminists support gay rights, then off-handedly accuse people of being gay. It's one of those cases of how the craziest voice is often the loudest, but not often the majority's view. It would be facetious to pretend that women's rights wasn't a necessary movement, as they have been historically disadvantaged and stereotyped as a gender, and it was necessary to gain recognition that women are people too, and should be treated as equal and full members of society. How…

I must admit that that quote sounds awfully anti-gay. Some percentage of the population are just awful people, and they spread it like a disease, but there is no specific quality, be it gender identity, political ideals (as long as they are well-reasoned), or cultural background is correlated to awful personness, that is to be determined on a person-by-person basis.

Right, but it seems you've made a logical error here. Your friend met this campus organization that seems to have become an insular hate-engine, and that's a tragedy, but expletive-deleted's lesbian feminist housemates seem to be entirely different, reasonable people.

Some of the more reasonable ones, I guess?

You're generalizing pretty hard here, dude. Just because your friend met a couple scary people doesn't mean that other people with similar characteristics act or think the same.

Are you guys sure this isn't Google sarcasm (Santorum style) and they're really on our side here?
