A lot of people just ignore the inherent problem of the fact that it’s an app where you can label people whatever anonymously. I know the guy who made the app made it with good intentions but this is the internet, an app where you’re encouraged to label people whatever you like anonymously is going to lead to some/most people lying on your name.

Being turned off isn’t inherently the problem. The problem is the reasoning. It’s often something about the man in question not being masculine because he fucked with men & that it’s degraded him (which says a lot about how they see themselves but different conversation for a different day) or calling bi men aids carriers.

Well, for one people don’t believe bisexuality exists, doubly so for men. They’re just seen as gay. The aids epidemic was blamed on bi men so they’re seen as disease carriers. I completely agree. Internet feminists (I wouldn’t say feminists in general) often use intersectionality exclusively for women but forget that different kinds of oppression happen with men too. Intersectionality should be able to explain the plights of men of colour but internet feminists often ignore the effects it has on men.
