I know what you mean dude, I lost a lot of interest too until I focused more on the ones who I actually liked as people too. They can be more than meat sometimes, if you look in the right places. For me I've found the best girls at swing, blues/fusion and salsa dancing places.

Are you me? I know what you mean, I feel the exact same way and I'm also trying to dig myself out and interact with women in a way I find enjoyable. What's really helped me the most is finding a friend or two I can really be open about this stuff with and I can trust for honest feedback and help, who prescribe to the same general red pill principles. Something else is just forcing myself to do it. To just talk to women for no reason in particular, because it helps drag me out of my normal antiso…

It's possible there's no disrespect yet due to previous lack of enforcement. However, if you go with the "Vegas alone with a girl friend is a single woman activity" route and she still wants to go, then that's clear disrespect and deserves ghosting/soft next. If it works out like you hope, great, but I somehow doubt it.

Just watch what comes out and try to tone down the negative side. In my opinion the best "asshole" is the playful one, who doesn't poke other people's insecurities harshly or belittle in a degrading way, but teases with a smile to make it clear you're not a true asshole. I get called an asshole all the time by this one girl, but it's clear I'm not actually and I just enjoy playful teasing.

I very much agree with this. Bring up the issues, be straightforward, but in the end it's his brother and you should generally be there to support your family.

Haha nicely put. Thanks.

you should reserve LTR for a plate who earns it, not seek to give it away That's what I'm leaning toward now, everyone commenting here has put things in some good perspective. And you're absolutely right about character and whorish behavior not really lining up.

I've had it before, which is why I feel the way I do now about plates. It just doesn't compare, and I can definitely feel it.

It was just important for me to keep intimacy for a serious relationship only That's exactly high quality, by default. It just is. Other women may not say they're concerned with it, but watch what they do. They hide it from men, especially, because they know deep down it's repulsive. There's a stigma against "sluts" for a very good reason: it indicates a woman with zero control and lack of the ability to commit.

This is exactly on point. I can see how an LTR can make you complacent about improving yourself though. We'll see how this works out. What happens will happen, I'll just go with what feels right.

I'm thinking along the lines of a year, tops.

I would never lean on or depend on a woman for anything, that's just inviting a whole world of bs. What I want is more of a higher quality woman that I truly appreciate having around in addition to sex. Not that I believe in unicorns, but some girl with relatively more character.

the boy tries to replace his mother Interesting point, I hadn't really seen it like that before.

Well yeah, but LTR isn't marriage or anything.

Solid advice.

No, I don't have to respect a girl, obviously. But doing it with someone you really like makes it so much better anything else kind of pales in comparison.

That brings up another one of my worries too, actually. If I continue on the classic TRP track I would have to keep my sexual past to myself to not scare off a quality woman, as I'm sure you looked for someone who shared your "no casual sex" value. Maybe I'll withdraw to monk mode for a while until I'm sure what I want. Thanks for your comments, it's some good perspective I really needed.

Maybe the solution is to keep them relatively short (<1 yr), or just do 1-4 month commited flings.

It's kind of a turn off for me. Yeah I'll get into it in the moment but it's not at all fulfilling, it just leaves me a little down afterward.

Thanks for this. Biology is an asshole, I know- it's also what I'll have a degree in after this semester, so I've got that going for me at least. I'll probably just have to suck it up and work on internalizing.

Yeah, more and more I see that I'll very likely have to go back to the religious crowd to find someone worth an LTR or marriage. The latter would be very far down the road I'm sure, if ever.

You make a good point, one that is incredibly valid about reproduction. I think the bit that was off is how you said to find someone you can't live without.

Nice analogy, I like that strategy.

Have you ever ventured into the LTR territory with a TRP mindset? Is it worth it or should I really focus on changing my mentality more?

Of course I'll tread carefully, even if I get into an LTR. AWALT and all that. But still, I can't help but want some more connection than booty calling a plate now and then.
/r/askTRP26/03/16 09:17 PM

To each his own, I guess. Don't you ever feel like it would be nice to be more connected?

I know I haven't acclimated yet, it will likely take years for that. I am working on the abundance mentality, I just ghost if a girl isn't jiving right. I don't intend to go and roll over the second I think I find a nonexistent unicorn.

21, I know it isn't the optimal age for an LTR.

Thanks for writing that out, I needed to hear exactly this today. It really is a bitter reality.

Same here. I used to love things like The Wonder Years, Motion City Soundtrack, Brand New... now it all sounds so pathetic.

Bitches seem to love it, though, so I'm not complaining.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
