Your average trader is doing 6% so if you can get that in a bond you are cutting out the middle man fees. If you have gotten 20%+ in the last COUPLE years then you have been lucky. Tell me when you have gotten that for the last 20. You can do 6% for 20 years with a good bond portfolio. There is no losing on 6% per year. Only smart investing.

Yah tell that to all the people that lost their homes in 2018. What happens if there is a flood? The house burns down? You move and have to eat the cost of selling? The market collapses? You can mitigate some of these with a REIT but any REIT claiming 10% a year guaranteed is lying to you.

Better advice is actually learning what you are investing in before doing so. Trusting a broker is the same as letting someone else gamble for you. Better advice is not buying stocks to begin with. Stick with the bond market for the majority of your portfolio. Far easier to find good stable bonds than good stock.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
