Be like "I know, right?", then continue on with what you were saying.

Well if he wants to do a web app, I will help. I'm a freelance web designer/developer, and have hosting space.

Hi, I know you from around here.. love your posts, I read them regularly. I'm 20 and about to start college somewhere on the East coast of the US.. No gf, never made that happen so far, not even close. What advice do you have for someone in my position?

Just look up, smile, and say "Hi!" You might not know what to say after 'hi', in which case it's going to be awkward. Oh well. Do it again.

I suggest you call people on their BS if you care about that person, and if you don't, just forget it. I would sure call her on her BS, if she was my friend. If she was just some girl I met recently, I wouldn't do much of anything, except make a mental note.

Ironic, huh? The outcome of this situation is so backwards.

Fuck it man, this is how a lot of women act. Stop complaining and deal with it. This is why it's considered acceptable behavior; because you accept it.

Momentarily change targets to her friend if she has one. When she's done texting, she'll realize she's not getting attention anymore, and you know where it goes from there.

When she compliments you, say thanks. Everything doesn't have to have a PERFECT response. When she complimented your body, I would have said something like "Thanks! But you can't touch it <stupid grin> ", or maybe ask her if she works out. She was giving you another subject of discussion, since she probably knows how fit guys like to tell people about their workouts.. you could have done that too. For the #close, you don't need a "good line".. if you've made it far enough to where a good line wo…

Nah dude, she'll feel like a slut and stop hitting on him. Most girls would, anyway. Chicks hate feeling like sluts, and they hate when guys they value think they're sluts (like how she values OP). That's one of the main reasons for LMR... think about it.

"HEY GUYS, girls don't like being treated like conquests. See if you can incorporate this when you're treating them like conquests." Might sound silly, but some AFCs never consciously thought about this, so they don't realize they need to not do it. Which is probably why they're reading Seddit, and it's why they're AFCs.

You can change who you are, to meet your goals.. but at what cost? Will you like who you are after? I'm an introvert, and I hate those kinds of discussions.. meaningless. Small talk is waste of my time and brain power. But I know how to fake it, to build rapport with those extroverted types who seem to need that interaction.

Think of how a person who looks down appears to be shy and non-threatening. Doing the opposite, looking up, gives the opposite effects like intimidation.

I'm amazed at how accurate that description. I'm one of you too. I'm even more amazed that there are enough people like me to have us in a category. I used to be pretty AFC just like that profile says, mostly because I don't like or understand social rituals naturally. My natural game is fine otherwise, but like you, I have a hard time with all the 'rules'. I'm overcoming it by studying, and it's been working. For instance, if a guy comes up to you out of nowhere, and he talks to you, he is most likely interested in you, regardless of how it seems. If he seems innocuous, he's just better at hitting on you. I always tell girls this, and they are always shocked. If I inconvenience myself in any way, from talking to favors to phone calls, it's because I like her. Guys really don't won't initiate any interaction with a female unless there is a purpose. Obviously there is the exception every now and them, …

Breaking eye contact is indicative of shame, embarrassment, or intimidation. She could feel embarrassed because she's becoming aroused or attracted. She could be intimidated, in which case you need to be more playful. It's hard for us at Seddit to analyze this one without seeing what's going on, really.

During regular conversation with her, make up something fun you're about to do and that's why you have to leave. She'll seem interested, maybe ask questions about what you're doing, or just generally pay attention to you if she's really shy or not to that stage yet. Casually ask her if she's going, which of course she isn't because you just made something up. Invite her along and go do whatever you were about to do, like getting coffee, heading to a bar, going bowling, doing laundry, whatever. I…

It's also interesting to me how quick women are to judge PUAs when there's so much similar dating advice material out there for women that might be considered equally "manipulative." The Cosmopolitan magazine which every American woman reads is dedicated to this very subject.

It seems like a lot of the information I've been able to find on the topic casts the community in a somewhat negative light I'm not in Boston or I would help you, but I'll tell you about that. People view PUA as just "tricks" that sleazy guys can use to get uninformed women. For some it is. For many others like me, we just don't understand interpersonal interactions. We don't understand body language or flirting and we just don't know what odd little interactions women find attractive. So we're …

I had a similar revelation when I moved out on my own to a different state earlier this year. Now I'm Mr. Cool in my new community and I'm having much better luck with girls. Still working on the finer points which is why I read Seddit, but it was definitely a big help.

Funny.. also black with dreads about down to my shoulders (well, more than 50% black anyway). Gotta keep em neat and clean of course, or they'll have the opposite effect lol I find my hair to be extremely helpful. Not only do most women see it as cool, but girls have used it to open me, and it's generally a good conversation topic... with white women in particular. It's a wonderful tool, just having one thing about you that's a little different.

I see how that would be creepy, but this girl and I would definitely be dating right now weren't she in college, so we already had a good rapport. We've already even played music together, so it wouldn't be serious like sending her a guitar... more like just taking five minutes to record a song on my webcam, then send it to her in a facebook message. I think the fact that it's her birthday appropriates my gesture. All that said, I'm still not sure if I'm being stupid.. which is why I'm here seek…

I agree, to an extent. There are some HBs that really just wanna watch a movie with you at that point, even if they are interested in you. Girls from the South (if you live in the US) especially. You gotta watch out for those, cause if you try to escalate things you can scare them off, but usually that's repairable. Also make sure to use your sack on her while she's in the bag.
