Yes. You can love your family but don't ignore fact that may have hatred towards you cause you're a man. I experience same from one of my sisters but her life is train wreck despite her having a PhD. She hates men especially white men. She is a raging feminist twice divorced with years of therapy. I just limit contact.. her rantings and hatred are exhausting. Go live your life. Don't get drowned in their misery.

Thank her for sharing her world view and tell her I wish her well..bye. Better to find that out upfront rather than after long term relationship or marriage.

Why would the better parent need to pay the other child support and get less custody just cause he happens to be a man? Child support is used as a means of legalized extortion from most men (dead beat dads are actually rare). It is actually financially ruined dads thanks to family court and lawyers but women love to call them dead beats. Courts force men to pay child support in cases even when child is not theirs biologically. They force men to go jail for child support then further get into deb…

Why are you against men having equal custody rights? If the man is the better parent why should the man not have more custody?

While this maybe true to degree.. it largely will not negate the fact family courts are overwhelmingly bias towards the mother with except of extreme cases. Mother has to lose down to 50% and father has to fight up to 50%. Mothers are still viewed as the default primary parent and nurturing with exception of extreme cases. It's a systemic court issue that has been indoctrinated throughout many years. We need more studies that continue to show fathers are as good or better options to mothers. The…

A known fact and accepted one sadly. It is perfectly ok for my daughter to play with my neighbors kids or even go over to their house for an hour to play. But when my daughter asked if they can come over to her house and place it is No. I am single dad raising a daughter. I have also had management at local grocery store called on me cause I took my toddler daughter to the family bathroom stall which is located in the women's bathroom. I was in the stall helping her when lady heard my voice and …

As marriage rates and birth rates continue to decline watch for cohabiting laws to sneak in to provide way to get back to common law/marriage law.

Don't marry or have kids in California. It is bad enough for men in any state but California is the worst.

They refused to honor my lawyers subpoena to the office of vital records in Baltimore. They said they are not required to honor those as a state agency. I had a birth certificate with me on after her she was born .. then supposedly about 3-4 months after she was born they randomly audited her certificate of birth and removed me. They only have to notify mothers of the father being removed. They wouldn't send me the policy they used internally to audit or remove me. That place is terrible.

I emailed his office a while back about the office vital records which just takes fathers off birth certificates and only notifies the mothers. They did that to me cause of a perceived discrepancy between the date the nurse signed and my signature. My signed date matched the mothers. Some how "randomly" audited my daughters certificate then removed only me and notified mother who never told me. They wouldn't honor my legals supena to see all the file notes. I only found I was removed cause mothe…

Sound advice but the only way is the last way.. do not get married. I suspect with decline in birth rate and marriages they go back to enforcing common law marriages or cohabiting laws.. essentially will be treated as divorce. Too much money for court systems, lawyers and govement to not try to keep flow coming.

That is pretty awful but it is same in the US. Varies wildly on state but if they live with you in your house and contribute in any form (some argue cleaning.. etc.. pay bills occasionally) she could be entitled to some equity. Retirement they also have entitlement too also. Really depends on the state and the lawyers . If the woman wants it and is willing to fight she'll largely get it. If it's California they are entitled to lifetime alimony after 10 years. If married under 10 years they get a…

Well honestly short of totally not getting married at all everything else is just risk mitigation with paper thin protection. You should own everything before you met or married her. Then enter into a mutually agreed upon prenup that she has to have her independent legal consent to. Then you have review the prenup every few years to update or reverify it. Also you need be talking about prenup and have signed document a year or two before marriage or something legally noting its presence. This av…

In the states it's pretty bad but I also went down a rabbit hole recently reading about Australia and it's pretty crazy there. The women rule totally it seems.

Not legal advice but he needs file first. He is already behind I suspect. I bet she has lawyer or is getting one as we speak IMO. If she files first it looks better for her.

She is setting a narrative for full custody, alimony and child support. Need to get lawyer and prepare to fight to be in your kids life. Also prepare yourself for ongoing parental alienation on her part. Not to be downer but be warned family/divorce court is highly biased towards the mother regardless. Her mental and physical abuse claims will weigh heavily regardless of lack of actual evidence. Especially if she has a concern call the police. That'll be considered against you. Depending on the …

She'll be sent to some kind mental rehab for behavior for few weeks then put in probation and return full teaching within a year.

This man got it figured out. I wished I had done this route. My daughter's mother is a poor excuse for mother yet has legal rights to 50/50 and only does 20-30% of anything if that. But makes life hell like she is boss cause she is the "mother". I never married her and I handle all the healthcare and all my daughters needs. I wish I had done the surrogate route so bad. Best wishes and God's grace my fellow human. You're doing it the only good way left anymore unfortunately.

For religious people who believe in marriage roles and shared beliefs without govement .. it probably isn't as they have lowest divorce rates. But generally speaking it's dying.. you can thank lawyers, family/divorce courts and gynocentric family laws and systems. Men are backing away from the whole thing. Going be interesting evolution of things in next 15-25 years mating wise. Prenups are air to less also.. as another poster pointed out you have renew them yearly or so to maintain the legal va…

Prenups are tossed out daily. All she has to say is she signed it under pressure or stress and didn't know what she was signing .. felt intimated... experienced financial or emotional abuse... etc. Sympathetic judge will flush that prenup down the legal toilet and proceed as if it never existed.

Unfortunate there are still states where common law marriage still exists. If she lives with you.. you basically have adopted her in those states. Also paternity fraud is still not a crime except maybe in Tennessee. Yet if man doesn't pay child support he'll go to jail and once he gets out if proven it was paternity fraud the woman doesn't face any legal consequences.

Only time frame you're on is your own. If you do date for marriage do so cautiously and do your due diligence before marrying or getting her pregnant. Make sure she is the one and both have same beliefs, relationship ideas/goals and wants. I wouldn't stress about regretting it. Everyday is a new sunrise and learn to enjoy being you and having peace.

They always admit it's terrible and a crime but everyone goes full stop on making it a legally punishable crime, changing laws and making paternity testing at birth mandatory.

Women are seen as mothers thus more important and naturally caring, nurturing and loving VS men are seen as just a father to provide resources. Just look at how family courts treat fathers. Society can't even agree paternity fraud is a crime (there is no legal consequence for that) nor agree to have mandatory paternity testing at birth. Then look at how family courts treat fathers. You don't even have to be the biological father to be forced to support a child. Courts rarely if ever apply that t…
