That's also true, though I would argue that some hairstyles have a more universal appeal. Which is something I think a guy with average SMV should work towards. But it also depends on one'a face shape and facial features. Buzz/bald might actually work better for some guys. But yes, I agree that the average guy will have less options and that it's not impossible to find someone to be attracted to you. Still, those with average smv should try to break out of that to get with higher quality women
