That’s why i can’t consider being part of it at the moment because “equality for both sexes” has manifested into #killallmen, “men are always perpetrators”, “men’s rights activists are anti women”. Feminism is quick to complain about how men are privileged but are even quicker to be silent when we try to talk about our issues.

Thanks for the interesting discussion, raised some points that i wasn’t aware of. The feminist movement is simply just too confusing and contradictory for me to consider being a part of although i want to support women’s rights. As for radical feminism it is a completely misandrist perspective and it’s unnerving that it has gained lots of traction. But there’s no other name for it so i have to call it that 😂😂 I’m unfamiliar with the model but it looks outdated and misandrist. (men make up around 50% of domestic abuse victims yet the model only caters for women victims) Dismantling patriarchy to me is getting rid of powerful people a…

I’m literally a guy who supports women’s rights but is very critical of feminism for not advocating for men’s issues.

I’m simply saying feminism should help advocate for men’s issues (mental health/suicide, homelessness and toxic masculinity) while also dismantling patriarchy and misogyny.

feminism is about equality for both sexes so why is it stated it is for women only in r/feminism. i would like to be a part if it but true feminism advocates for both sexes.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
