I found peace and happinessWell said, I am glad you have that insight now. Hoping my journey is similar. I am learning to try and understand versus being angry. You are right that maybe I blindsided her too much during our relationship until she couldn’t take it anymore | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/26 11:41 PM

Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes exactly I am learning boundaries now. Appreciate the insight here. 🙏 | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/26 05:32 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.I wasn’t vulnerable and didn’t understand her emotionally. So I think for a long time she felt like she didn’t have a partner to talk to or understood her. We would fight over very small things and towards the end I just stopped talking to her. Because I was angry - she always escalated to hitting (she’s small so it didn’t hurt) but it was my last straw. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/26 01:54 AM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.I think a part of me wants her back because my heart is hurting but I recognize that even if we got back; we never fixed the problems. To your point I need to learn about myself, and what I need to improve. This is for myself and in the future if that person is compatible with her then so be it. But my head is logical that we cannot simply get back together. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/26 12:00 AM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes just my heart hasn’t processed her as a stranger yet but I will get there | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 11:58 PM

The TurmoilSorry you had to go through that. I am going through something similar but different context where I found my wife sexting a dude she just met after we initiated divorce. Even though I can’t blame her it was a big punch to my gut that she would become intimate so easily with someone when we struggled so much in our relationship. In your situation, I would learn to love yourself more, you are obviously a person that love his family, her, and your kids deeply. You hurting or grieving isn’t a sign … | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 10:34 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.I wish I had the heart in me to do this now. But I don’t but maybe one day I will get there | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 09:39 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes I am trying to focus on myself but my head wanders. I am still working, trying to afford the family, dealing with a lot of stress of the divorce since we are still living together. I am planning to move out soon so that there is literally physical separation from her | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 09:38 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yea she literally told me she was thinking of a situationship with a guys who clearly was a player. I didn’t even know how to respond to be honest. I don’t want her to be hurt but I also realize it probably isn’t my problem anymore. But it’s hard to accept the reality that she can like these people that much - makes me feel like our marriage meant nothing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 09:36 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes I think I am realizing she is no longer the person I thought she was (not in a bad way) but someone that I shouldn’t hold on a pedestal. And I am learning to be a different better me. It is a funeral to our old selves. But it hurts to realize that | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 09:35 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yea my brain and heart are not at the same place. I think I want to remain amicable and cordial for the sake of our daughter but we were also best friends. You are right that she isn’t considering where I am in the recovery process and a part of that hurts deeply but it’s a clear signal that I need to move on from this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 07:21 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes I am trying to dig deep for my daughter as well. I am still grieving, she didn’t do anything wrong I am just accepting the reality of us having to move on. But there are times when I see my daughter and wish things could have been different. I agree in the end we both need to be healthy and happy for the sake of our little one. I told her just now that we needed boundaries are dating life. She asked me how my dating life was and I just answered boundaries. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 07:19 PM
Co-parenting with an ex who has moved on while I’m still grieving.Yes good for you for being so strong in drawing boundaries. I feel like I struggle, she’s treating me like a dating advisor and sometimes I am genuinely interested. But I need to protect myself and my sanity. It’s like I am looking for an answer that I know already | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/26 06:28 PM
