I didn’t say women don’t care about sex. But if men and women were to make a list of conditions for a relationship, sex would be a few notches higher up on the priority list for men.

Im specifically talking about the age old complaints from men in LTRs/marriages
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:19 PM

I disagree, male/female friendships are inherently imbalanced and unequal imo.

True, but men are the ones more often complaining about lack of sex.

Im pretty sure people include family under the “unconditional love” bundle. But I would argue that most men would not consider romantic love unless sex were included at some point.

Do men marry women knowing they will NEVER have sex though? Or do they STAY married with the hopes that they will be able to have sex again?

You’re wrong about one thing, men don’t volunteer for the traditional male role because it makes them feel superior. They do it because it makes them feel useful, and gives them purpose. If the woman is the leader and provider the man usually feels useless, and most women regard him as useless. Hence the whole “we don’t need no man” women’s empowerment choir.

But would he have ever fallen in love with her if he had never had sex with her, or if she had never met any of the other conditions?

Im sorry did i say NO men feel this way? In fact i even provided an answer anyway in the response you’re quoting.

Not really because i disagree with your claim. I can say however that the men most likely to pursue sex consistently and more exclusively (and so the men mostly likely to end up having sex with women) are more than likely to be primarily interested in their one sided experience of sex, and getting to know the woman and or worrying about her pleasure is of almost no benefit to his immediate goal. So why would he care? If i have a limited amount of time and energy, getting to know a singular woman…

So not just husbands but many men in general? Yeah I don’t think you can conclude that either.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 10:04 PM

Im highly doubtful that you have rightly concluded that husbands don’t care whether their wives like to have sex with them, or even enjoy the sex they’re having generally. It is entirely possible that husbands feel that it may not be necessary for their wives to enjoy EVERY sexual experience (mostly because most men’s sex drives are higher than their partner’s), just like the husband does plenty of things he doesn’t enjoy but need to done anyway. But he feels entitled to sex within the context o…

You need to modify your claim. Women are not good at articulating what they find attractive in a way men can understand. Women seem to get it, but they’re not good at empathizing with, understanding, and communicating to men.

It’s logical to tell a woman who expects to be with a man that out earns her by a significant margin NOT to invest in her career. Because investing in her career is contrary to her own goals. The toxic part is her expectation to be non traditional and to attract traditional outcomes. If a woman is capable of being with a man that makes as much or less than she does (and most are NOT) she should invest in her career until her heart is content.

Just not true. I have always been extremely attractive and i have had an abysmal dating history. Granted i got some dates yes because i was attractive, but not nearly as many as you’d think I’d get.

Then you missed the part where i clarified: the type of shitty personality that typically does not attract women. Usually that means someone socially awkward, lacking in confidence, soft spoken, unsure, lacking in charisma, poor social awareness, etc. These psycho killers/cult leaders are often very charismatic, intelligent, and very good at manipulation.

Men love women conditionally as well. It just doesn’t SEEM that way because what men bring to the relationship has more to do with what they produce and what women bring has more to do with what they are. But this RP idea that a men love women completely and women don’t/can’t really love men is a bit of an illusion or poor framing. My perspective is that love is an emotion (or set of emotions). Emotions serve a purpose. They are “designed” to compel actions that serve a specific purpose usually …

TRP is not about christian values. Its about finding the truth about male nature, female nature, and gender dynamics and using that to do whatever you want to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 07:05 AM

Thats why the question was “Ideal.” Most people (especially if you’re talking about other countries and other cultures and religious folk) don’t do what they WANT to do. They do what they are supposed to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 11:26 PM

…Right but you’re missing the point that i don’t think any non-sociopathic (or not religiously captured) guy would describe his ideal woman, but wouldn’t include the condition “she likes me too.” No normal guy’s ideal relationship includes a gun to her head, proverbial or literal. 😬

Yeah…no yeah can say both men and women need to be good people, but that will mean different things for both. You can say both men and women need to protect themselves, but that will mean different things for both because society doesn’t see men and women the same way, and there will be different threats both will have to look out for. Men and women will not have all the same experiences, they will not react the same way to those experiences, and society will treat them differently depending on …

Yeah yeah men have “Power in there voices” Men can also uniquely be victims, but since people are predisposed to see men as perpetrators and “powerful” It’s often on them to take care of themselves. That’s ONE piece of advice boys NEED to hear. People are going to see you as a threat and they generally WON’T want to help you.

The idea that kids can just be gendered according to their sex and the actual boundaries between masculine and feminine are arbitrary is just bit true. They’ve done experiments where even young apes exhibit naturally gendered traits. Just like humans young male are more inclined towards things, and young female apes are more inclined towards faces.

Nothing about Your description of Brad requires him to ACTUALLY cheat in order to get that respect and adoration if the wife. This is such a dumb RP take. Its obvious that Simply being attractive (whatever that means to her) is what continues to make the wife attracted to him. NOT the cheating.

You’re just wrong, you’re still assuming that a player DOESN’T feel entitled to sex. That’s an unjustified assumption. There absolutely are players who feel entitled to sex that are pushy, and are able to get a woman to consent to sex she maybe wasn’t sure she wanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 12:06 AM

I’ve heard enough women say they like nice guys while acting with revulsion towards or just ignoring nice guys to still believe they’re actually all lying. I think this is cognitive dissonance. I think this is a conflict between women’s stated desires, and their instinctual desires.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 11:18 PM

…no you just restated the nice guy = entitled idea. Both men can be entitled the nice guy evokes the ick and you’re not explaining why you’re just refusing to acknowledge that fact.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:13 PM

…Yes but why does the trick work for the guy who gets sex, and why doesn’t it work for the nice guy? Because its specifically WHAT the nice guy is doing that is repulsive, thats my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 08:57 PM
4

Both cases the woman is upset, but one case the woman has sex with the man because the strategy works. So the thing women don’t like cant be the strategy in and of itself. Its how the man employs the strategy. The nice guy employs the strategy in a way that repulses the woman. Thats my point. I generally disagree with the “nice guys are entitled” line of thought, but for the sake of this argument there’s nothing in the nice guy’s strategy that is inherently more entitled than the guy’s strategy …

You didn’t really address my main dispute of your point which is that the “secret non-disclosed transactional relationship” is not the thing that a woman finds unattractive, because it can be present in both men that give her “the ick” AND men that she is attracted to and has sex with. It must therefore be something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 06:34 PM

Almost every explanation I’ve heard from women or “women-sympathizers” about why women hate nice guys comes across as extremely confabulatory and fallacious. Every single thing that they claim a nice guy does that women find a turn-off is something that guys that routinely get sex from women will do as well (not all some are more up front). For instance “creating a secret non-disclosed transactional relationship in his head” is not a strategy unique to nice guys. There are plenty of women who sl…

You can’t really just write off “the ick.” Just because people cant really explain it doesn’t make it unjustified. Its an intuitive feeling, and those intuitions usually come from some where. You wouldn’t ask men to start dating fat ugly women they’re not attracted to for the sake of their mental health. Feeling “the ick” is not a choice. I’m extremely skeptical of the example you gave about the guy getting lost. There’s no chance she was completely in love with him before the incident. It sound…

Yeah thats just not true at all. Any long term relationship is going to require lots of communication. Two people are never going to see eye to eye on everything. If a woman is asking you to communicate that means she feels that the relationship is salvageable. When she STOPS trying to communicate that means it’s over and shes looking for an exit strategy. If you’ve carried this thought process into any relationships you’ve likely inadvertently sabotaged them yourself, before trying to save it, …

/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 11:13 AM

But there’s a reason why we tend to view fat people as ugly and gross, and thinner shapely people as attractive. Our intuitions towards the unhealthiness of large amounts of fat trips our “disgust” instinct. Same with shapely women. Our intuitions towards more youthful, more shapely women and what that implies about a woman’s ability to safely bear healthy children trips our attractiveness instinct. I think thats why big boobs small waste big hips are preferred.

Fair enough, i think my general point still stands, most guys hear “fat” and they’re not thinking 135, maybe 160, definitely 200+. And the idea that a 200+ lb woman is as healthy as she can be is just wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/23 11:00 PM
1

Ok but the scientific category of “obese” starts at like 130 lbs for women. But i think everyone can agree that when they say “overweight” or “fat”they’re generally not thinking of a 130 lbs woman. 130 lbs woman would be more in the “chubby” category if even that. When you’re getting to the 200+ lbs range with the average height of a woman, I’m pretty sure that’s getting to well into unhealthy weight.

I think they can be a useful tool to understand how your partner chooses to express that they care. Often times if people don’t know what to look for they can end up feeling like their partner doesn’t really care, or they can feel like they’re not being appreciated because their partner doesn’t know their love language. My love language is acts of service.

In my experience women are most receptive to vulnerability after you’ve more or less already dealt with the issue. They like to know whats going on inside of you but are not really comfortable being along for the ride and feeling the insecurity with you. Now is it even really being vulnerable if you have to deal with it alone? Maybe not.

You sure some of those weren’t yellow flags? Red flags tend to be deal breakers.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 07:41 AM

Bullshit…if you don’t know WHO the man is and what his intentions are then you especially shouldn’t have his baby. Usually these men already have children they aren’t taking care of. Why would he be different and take care of YOUR child?

Had a huge crush on an average girl. Probably one if the biggest crushes i ever had. We were both into each other, I made an attempt at asking her out are times but she was really religious. /r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 02:58 AM

What are you talking about? People don’t choose random children to love? Thats correct the connection is generally between the adult and their progeny. Many parents are not beneficial to their children? Depending on how you’re defining “many” that argument may be irrelevant. Most parents ARE a benefit to their children. If this weren’t true humanity would have died out ages ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 06:05 PM
1

Thats what the child IS, not really a “condition” in this context considering it’s NOT changeable, and/or the benefits received are not affected by anything the child does or doesn’t do. You can argue (and i might agree) that there is an evolutionary benefit for the unconditional nature of the bond, but imo it definitively still is unconditional.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/23 03:37 PM

I disagree. There’s a significant portion of the parent/child relationship where the child gives nothing and just takes, yet still the parents feels extremely strong ties to the child.

Your question is wrong and selfish. Yes it suits the maximum benefit of a woman to seek the maximum she can acquire from a man. Similarly what incentive is there for a man to commit to a single woman ever. It suits a mans best interest to spread his seed as far and as wide as humanly possible. Surely a few of his seeds will find their way into women smart enough to keep his children alive. Instead what we do is we negotiate. I think there is a female dominance hierarchy just like there a male dominance hierarchy. The female dominance hierarchy is based on beauty. The women are competing for who can get the most “high value man.” It makes perfect sense. Women are extremely cliquish, and actually do most of the bullying and shaming of other women. The status the women hold at the top of the female dominance hierarchy may be BASED on who men find most attractive but it isn’t FOR men.

I personally don’t use “it’s how we evolved” necessarily to say this is how it SHOULD be. I usually use it to combat that notion that “sexism” “misogyny” and “patriarchy” are the causes of our social structures, intuitions and beliefs. …Dead starfish is NOT a perfectly fine position for a woman. Any man who believes that, is either a virgin or a psychopath. Also, It isn’t difficult at ALL to please a woman, IF she is attracted to you. As long as you are remotely competent, and responsive, the job is mostly done. The harder part is maintaining frame and keeping her generally attracted to you.

It’s actually not as dumb as you might think it sounds. If a guy is mainly interested in sex and the woman doesn’t just give it to him immediately, that might make him see her as more than just a fun time…thats the thinking at least
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:11 PM

I never said they have a lot in common or that they have some type of genuine connection. Just that its not a given that he’s lying to her. Her being easier to deal with STILL doesn’t imply he’s lying to her. At least give me an example of some of the lies you think all older men trying to date younger women are telling them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 10:30 PM

Never? Are you certain of that? Besides her being easily impressed seems to agree with my point of him NOT having to lie.

Why is an older man with a younger woman necessarily lying. He could just as easily just be showing her a good time because he is established in his career and can travel and whatnot

/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 08:35 PM

This kinda reads like the millionaire telling all the brokeys how to get money. But all you’re REALLY doing is explaining how YOU made YOUR money. All you have to do is NOT be socially awkward, be really smooth and charming, be attractive, and talk to women. Oh is THAT what I’m doing wrong? Thanx 👍🏿

Men have active and passive strategies. They’re not always necessarily “trying to smash” but they most likely would if the opportunity presented itself. A man notices a woman is attractive immediately. And any woman a man thinks is attractive is a woman is a woman he would, or has thought if having sex with. Especially if they are close.

Im actually not very worried about the Idea of AI generated porn. Ive seen a few of those AI generated images and they’re really hot, the women are almost TOO attractive. Like unrealistically so. It started to seem weird after a while. I think ultimately human males are attracted to attractive but imperfect human females.

On the contrary, I think that feeling useless is a very common masculine insecurity. Feeling useful and feeling useless is very much performative for men.

I think redefining masculinity is an important conversation to have. The problem is that those usually trying to have that conversation most often are those infected with misandristic brain rot they’ve caught by ingesting too much feminism. Whereas for toxic femininity? I think that up until recently basic survival has been such a trial that any examination of toxic femininity has been overshadowed by the sheer utility of female biology. Our modern world however is safer and more predictable tha…

Because if we’re sticking to the child bearing example ,which I believe is the basis of the masculine and feminine roles, each individual man isn’t nearly as necessary as each individual woman. Quite simply men are more expendable than women in the process of “maintenance of society”
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 05:41 PM
11

It makes sense to me. Its not so much that being masculine adds to a woman. More that it doesn’t sufficiently take away from a woman (plus the benefits) Whereas the way people think of what a man is…there’s an ever present aspect of masculinity. If a man is seen to be exhibiting feminine traits it convinces everyone that this man is incapable of performing the necessary tasks of his role when he’s needed to. Being man in general is a precarious thing. I feel like masculinity is like a heavy load…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 05:29 PM
13

I think what I posted generally agrees with what you’ve stated here. There’s much more social acceptance for women who take on masculine things because at the end if the day they still have their immutable characteristics. Where as men who are not good at performing their masculine role are seen as useless, because they are seen as poor examples of both roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 05:13 PM
6

Well society has not just agreed that women bear children. And as the child bearers is it unbelieve-able that women would have a set of other characteristics that would complement bearing children? Or are we to believe that all those characteristics are arbitrarily socially constructed?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/23 05:08 PM
23

I dont think the thought process is “masculine things are cool” therefore women doing masculine things is celebrated. And what follows is “feminine things are uncool” therefore men doing feminine things is shit on. I think it has more to do with the fact that people tend to think of femininity as more immutable. So doing masculine things doesn’t have an effect on the immutable characteristics of femininity. It just adds to her value as a person. Where as masculinity tends to be more performative…

I specifically remember a case recently in the US where that very thing happened. The man claimed he hadn’t even had sex with the woman had a negative paternity test and the courts were still requiring him to pay because the mother put him on the birth certificate.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/23 02:50 AM

Not really true. A mother can (and has) put any random guy as the father on the birth certificate and the courts will order him to pay child support.

We have laws against murder not because we think everyone is a murderer but because we acknowledge that murder sometimes happens. Similarly mandatory paternity testing is an acknowledgement that false paternity sometimes happens. I’m for mandatory paternity testing and so is my wife. Mandatory paternity tests at birth actually deals with any potential trust issues. By making it mandatory you don’t need to wonder and ask. All insecurity is removed. You know instantly. If you’re certain no biggy. If you’re not the mandatory test is in place. I honestly can’t fathom any resistance to the idea except that women want to be able to lie and cheat and have the poor sap they’re with deal with their mistake.

Im not dismissing biology, I’m dismissing your solution which makes uninformed assumptions about men and masculinity. In fact men who are raised by women, and without proper male guidance are statistically MORE prone to emotional instability and violent criminal behavior. So it would seem that men DON’T need to be raised like women (because they AREN’T women), but need to be raised to be men by other good men

See this is why men get frustrated listening to “woman speak”. This entire explanation is boiled down to “I don’t want to say this because it sounds vain, so i’ll say this which isn’t TECHNICALLY a lie (and here’s the unspoken part) and if you don’t play along with the lie i will react with hostility towards you as if YOU are being an asshole.” And women will collectively tell and convince themselves of this lie, and this is only one of many topics that follow this pattern.

True I think it’s unfair to call it rape (even if non-consensual) if the man isn’t fully informed of the woman’s consent status.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 11:28 AM

I don’t think that’s what usually happens. I think more often the women isn’t fully consenting but just fails to act accordingly or maintain proper boundaries, which leads to a not fully consensual experience, IMO most of these could be prevented by a guy being maybe slightly less pushy and by a woman using more clear communication, and avoiding certain behaviors.

Yeah i disagree with Ghandi on this one. According to Ghandi’s philosophy of non-violence it would be better to allow yourself to be killed by a violent assailant than use violence to defend yourself. Correcting the title: Men need individual women more than women need individual men. Its only obvious if you’re reading into the studies your own biases. The idea that women don’t really love men and its only men who love women is a dumb claim. It erases the fact that relationships are transactional, but only for men. It paints women’s love as ENTIRELY transactional, and embues men’s love with more than it deserves.

Saying “men are not as emotional as women” is NOT the same as saying “men have no emotions.” In my experience women’s emotions tend to be much more entangled with their general experiences than for men. Men tend to experience emotions but they seem like a separate thing from their actual experience. Women tend to process their emotions and experiences simultaneously. Men tend to separate processing their experiences from processing their emotions.

Nah disagree…I think what makes one successful in dating carries to where ever you are. You wouldn’t go from laying 350 a year to incel. It might be more difficult to get women but you wouldn’t just get none. The combination of physical attributes, natural social aptitude, and confidence required to have a lot of success in dating will allow one to adapt. An incel is usually lacking the social aptitude, I’m not sure that can be learned or faked.

What are you not getting? The OP’s general statement is “men should be responsible for child support.” The LAW has set a precedent for an adult women being entitled to child support from her underage rape victim…these topics are the related.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/23 01:54 PM

I understand that none of these would be EASY solutions, but they are things to consider. Im not yet convinced that they are entirely unworkable. A topic can be in more than one conversation at once. If an adult woman has sex with an under age boy and she gets pregnant and the law says that boy needs to pay child support (and there IS legal precedent), its a rape topic AND a child support topic
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/23 01:12 PM

1 - semen snatching is the the only form of paternity fraud, its just the most shocking 2 - women DO get to opt out of their parental responsibilities, they have several ways to do so. 3 - rethinking the gov’t benefits single mother receive, i believe, is a conversation worth having. Maybe if women couldn’t depend on being rescued by the gov’t it would compel them to make different decisions about when and how they decide to become mothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/23 01:09 PM
1

Its prevalent enough that athletes are routinely warned to dispose of their condoms. And like i mentioned in my post “how often does that REALLY happen” is not the point. The point is that there are no legal consequences for it, and are actually financial rewards, which creates a positive incentive for fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/23 01:03 PM

I can think of a several things off the top of my head. 1 - Legalize abortion: I believe its a terrible thing but that women should have the option. 2 - create or enforce paternity fraud laws. This would discourage and criminalize “semen snatching. 3 - they could have some type of voluntary surrender of paternity right similar to what women have. 4 - they may also have to adjust or rethink the government benefits single mothers receive. These things would even out the field and remove women’s in…

This is one of those discussions where try as i might i can RARELY get a woman to engage honestly and or fairly. This is NOT a 50/50 situation. Women have considerably more power, more options, and they have the law on their side. A woman can choose to or not to have the child, she can choose to or not to be a mother with little or no legal consequences. A man has none of these choices, no power here. Honestly I was a pretty handsome guy so i didn’t run into too many women outside my range. I think the times where the rejection has been the worst has been when someone has reached outside of the reasonable range of attractiveness. By reasonable range I’m speaking about the general principle that states you only ask out someone within 1-2 points of your “attractiveness level” In my experience if a woman who’s a 6-7 rejects a man who is a 6-7 or a 5-6 she tends to be more gentle than say if a 4 asked her out. Part of it is that she feels insulted, and also there is a social cost she p…

How do you figure? A woman whos willing to sleep with many men still will have preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/23 10:52 PM
26

There has NEVER been a time in history or tradition where EVERY man has had a wife. Haven’t something like only 40% of men procreated historically? Besides this is a solution that ensures sex for all men but would basically make women sex slaves (or at least potential sex slaves) with no real choice and no real shot at happiness, I wouldn’t want that for my sisters, or daughters. This is a solution a computer would come up with, not an actual person with human emotions and empathy.

Guys like future the rapper exist in real life and like him have multiple children by multiple women. This contradicts the whole “bad guys are nice and charming” line of thinking

Horrible men are great at hiding red flags? First off we’re not talking about the highly charismatic psychopaths, those people are like a fraction of a percent of the population. We’re talking about bad guys with OBVIOUS red flags that directly contradict a woman’s stated preferences. Most bad guys are NOT nearly as good at hiding red flags as you’ve stated here. I know of a few people personally who are terrible, some unemployed, criminal records, poorly regulated behaviors, all of them have mu…

Attempting suicide is not the the same as committing suicide. Women are less likely than men to make SSA “serious suicide attempts. IMO Women’s suicide “attempts” are more often a cry for help. Men are less likely to cry for help because they’re less likely to GET help due to the gender empathy gap.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 08:11 PM

Not true at all. When a woman STOPS complaining its over.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 11:19 AM

Neither is someone who breaks up every time a woman voices a concern or that they’re dissatisfied. LTRs are never “perfect.” And the fact that she even tells you there’s a problem means there’s a chance to save the relationship.

That’s usually because the people bringing it up aren’t trying to have a good faith discussion about mental health. They’re usually using it as a form of attack. Besides there are just as many dysfunctional women out there. All the issues impacting men likely have some impact on women as well, its just that bringing up any issue with women tends to get you called a misogynist.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/23 01:18 AM

That’s a major over-statement. The “mainstreaming” of the RP/manosphere seems to disprove your assertion. Sure this sub may be a little dysfunctional at times, but that’s a consequence of people refusing to have these conversations in more “respected” medium
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/23 12:14 AM

Right but your claim is that contentment is better because it’s more sustainable than happiness. My claim is that the greater potential in happiness compensates for the lack of sustainability.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:46 PM

Younger men are out here pursuing marriage and family with these cougars? Or trying to recreate their pornhub fantasies?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:38 PM
2

See now YOU have switched from “attractiveness” to men making practical pairing decisions. No guy pops a hard-on at the thought of a woman’s stock portfolio. They see tits and ass
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:31 PM
2

No you’re original statement was: the average woman is high value compared to the average man. We’re not talking about “higher value.” If i have $1 and you have $50, your dollar amount may be higher than mine but that doesn’t make you a rich man. This is much the same. Higher value does NOT equal high value.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:21 PM
2

No women are not generally valued by men for their utility and earning power. And attraction for women tends to encompasses more than just physical attributes.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:18 PM
5

It absolutely matters, if men of low status are clambering to date some crack whore she doesn’t magically become high value
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:09 PM
2

In terms of attractiveness maybe but men are also valued for their utility, earning power, status
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:03 PM
6

Define “date” and what men?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 07:02 PM

I don’t think high value is comparative. Is an attractive stripper high value compared to a methed out cracked out toothless homeless man? No they are both low value
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 06:40 PM
3

Yes, but women start sooner than men with value and so their value usually diminishes before mens
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 06:38 PM

And mature marriage minded women who want children. And i don’t necessarily mean “mature” as in age but mature as in clear thinking, though most modern women dont reach that level of mature thinking until they begin to age out if the “hot girl” phase
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 06:19 PM
3

Sure, they would prefer a man in their age group, with the status, wealth, and maturity that tends to come with men NOT in their age group.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 06:09 PM
1

What are you actually getting at, what claim are you disputing?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 05:59 PM
2

What do you mean? This isn’t a team sport…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 05:43 PM
2

I think you’re mistaken. PPD men agree that attractive 35 year old men can and do sometimes pursue 18-22 year old hot women, especially for sex Younger men also will pursue attractive older women…for sex. Marriage and family is a different story
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 05:34 PM
4

The fact that a majority of men (RP men included) would jump at the chance to have a sexual relationship with a select few exceptionally attractive older female celebrities, does not detract from the fact that the average older woman is of diminishing value to the average man interested in marriage and family. Whereas the average older man maintains and or builds upon his value to the average marriage minded woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 05:28 PM
2

I would probably agree with the OP statement. Yes women generally prefer a man in their age bracket…who has the qualities that tend to be associated with men older than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/23 04:22 PM
25

You could argue there ARE enough high value men. Not every woman is entitled to a high value man. Only high value women “deserve” high value men.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 09:52 PM
5

I guarantee a couple that has been together for years/decades don’t have the same type of “lust” or “happiness” that they would describe when they are younger. Part of the longterm happiness, I imagine comes from abandoning the pursuit of the “excitement” most women claim to want from their relationships. My parents have been married for over 40 years. They are very much still in love, but their relationship is fairly monotonous and boring in comparison to the expectations of the average person …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 09:38 PM
8

Pursuing “excitement” and fleeting “happiness” does not a healthy relationship make…where does that leave us. There’s gotta be a compromise somewhere. Im not one for forcing anyone to do anything they don’t want to do but the solution cant be to say “yeah women just aren’t attracted to most men” 🤷🏿
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 07:31 PM

I’ve had plenty of female friends. Subs like have nothing to do with men not having enough interaction with women. Subs like this exist because of systemically and chronically low empathy for the male experience.

Aren’t those guys usually complaining about getting friend-zoned?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/23 03:37 PM

It’s baffling how women don’t understand this. The idea that “it’s a win” shows utter self interest for women and a complete lack of empathy for men and what THEY want and care about. A woman who has been through the “just having fun” phase hooking up with guys she’s viscerally attracted to, (leaving a trail of failed relationships, pregnancy scares, possible children, etc) only to decide later on after she’s no longer the best, most beautiful, most trauma-free version of herself to get hitched …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 09:19 PM
6

First off no one said “evil.” Reckless? definitely, selfish? sure, entitled? absolutely. I think most modern women who actively participate in the hookup culture have adopted a more masculine style of “dating” which doesn’t really include a deliberate attempt to find a match. Its all about “having fun” and recklessly using your body to catch a good man, which is actually how you repeatedly find the opposite (as many women have complained about).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 04:15 PM
9

So why would she waste her time and youth letting all these subpar men blast off inside of her…and how would that make her a “win” for the man, after shes given up on the streets?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:43 PM
3

Wrong on multiple levels. The guy that gets a beat up old pair of hand me down shoes isn’t “winning.” He would much rather get a new pair. What a woman is doing during her “Hoe Phase” is hooking up with guys that she is viscerally attracted to. If it were her choice she would likely have gotten hitched to one of those men if they were suitable mates (there’s a broader conversation to be had about what psychologically is going on in the minds of women who view a man as not suitable for marriage, …

I don’t see men bringing up issues men face as a way to diminish issues women face. To me it seems like men are going through life and it sucks from time to time but we push through anyway. And when we hear women complaining and saying what needs to happen we’re like…hold on it sucks for us too why are you complaining and requiring US to do something to fix your shit when you couldn’t care in the slightest about what we’re going through?

Funny you bring up the Salem Witch Trials considering the majority of the accusers turned out to be women. There seems to be a habit of men diminishing or understating female threats (Im not even sure how this fits into your OP it just stood out as i was reading and i felt like responding with it.) Part of the problem is that women are programmed to see threats even when there are none, and men are programmed to ignore threats that come from women. That might explain in part why “misogyny” is se…

Id say its worse for the woman to get pregnant by another man because she can lie and say the baby is his and he’d be stuck with it. If the man tries to lie and say the baby is hers…? Well she’d have to be severely retarded…or highly superstitious to believe THAT lie. 🤣

Women = lower tolerance for BS. Lesbian relationships = higher chance of divorce. Lesbian relationships = eliminates the male variable. Possible conclusion more intolerable BS on average in lesbian relationships. Also possible conclusion women on average = poor mate selectors.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 06:04 PM

I’m fine with accepting this. Now send the memo out to women to stop bitching and moaning about the “narcissists”, and fuck boys, and trash men they’ve consented to being ran through by, only to dump all that trauma onto the guy she decides to settle for later on that hasn’t contributed to any of her trauma.

Cop out. People can often give reasons that make sense to them internally but aren’t the actual reason. Especially if their actions seem to contradict the stated reason. Sorry if I’m being “emotive” but being accused of endorsing rape out of NO where is a little jarring

And show me in my comment where i suggested you SHOULD force yourself to have sex with someone you DON’T want to… Im suggesting the reasoning doesn’t match women’s actions so its probably NOT the actual reason
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/23 11:27 AM
2

No where did I suggest ANYTHING non-consensual. Im basically saying that the argument OP made about trauma makes no sense considering women will consent to sex with men THEY have defined as not worthy and then complain about those men later which ACTUALLY causes them trauma.

The “trauma” and the its “access to someones body” angle would make more sense if women WEREN’T openly admitting to having sex with men who, by their own words, aren’t good enough for a relationship. Only to complain about ALL men (not the shitty men they’ve given their bodies to) later on and talk about how “men are trash.” That actually sounds like a recipe for trauma 😬.

“Work on yourself bro” is not advocating for replacing a desire for intimate companionship with hobbies and a career. Its an acknowledgment that WANTING something doesn’t necessarily get you closer to it. In terms of relationships the desperate WANTING, actually gets you farther away from it. The “work on yourself bro” recommendation is actually the last part of a sentence thats starts with: “In order to have a shot at getting what you want in the future you have to give up the desperate desire …

I mean this is a bit of a wonky hypothetical, considering theres absolutely NO way to fail at everything, but still be attractive to women. But if I had to choose between these two options I would choose success in everything BUT relationships, just because I personally would have a hard time living with the fact that the entirety of my identity revolves around a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/23 04:33 AM

I think men are less concerned with women settling for them in general, and more concerned with WHEN they settle. Most guys here don’t like to be settled for AFTER she’s been with every Chad, Dick, Harry, Pookie, Ray Ray and Tyrone in her 20s. Most guys KNOW they aren’t the best hottest richest coolest guys out there. They just want to be secure in their women’s commitment to them. They don’t really care if she settles for him.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/23 05:51 PM

Pure delusion…No different from the feminists screaming from the roof tops “I’m too busy for a relationship.” The idea that you can have hobbies and friends and a job and the only thing you need a woman for is sex and “passion” is utterly ridiculous and honestly sounds theoretical and not actually based in reality at all
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/23 01:44 AM

No…its way more common for men of various relationship status to go to strip clubs and to hire escorts or have mistresses, far less common for men to wife the stripper or escort or mistress. Marrying a woman that has been around is quite different

Well the complaint about not wanting to be the “boyfriend material” guy has nothing to do with men not wanting relationships. It has to do with men feeling like the women don’t DESIRE them but are just being with them. The thinking is the guy they desire is the guy they fuck, the “boyfriend material” guy is the guy they made wait, but keep around to take them places and pay for things and give them attention, but they don’t REALLY desire him.

Basically solve your problem first, then share it. I agree this is the best way to be open with your woman, but thats not truly being vulnerable. At the end of the day you’re still alone with your problems and its you alone who has to solve them. Telling her about it does nothing for you but makes HER feel like “you’re opening up.”
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 02:57 PM

My recommendations are based on “red pill doctrine.” Being vulnerable with the right male friends and expressing your emotions in a healthy manner IS in line with RP truths. Thinking your woman is your therapist and that she wants to hear your deepest darkest fears and insecurities, is NOT.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 12:19 PM

I never recommended bottling up anything. I even said you SHOULD talk about your feelings. That in and of itself doesn’t imply true vulnerability.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 11:29 AM

Right…mother dying is probably one of the few universally tolerated instances a man can be actually vulnerable…lol you’re only allowed to care that much about another woman
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 04:18 AM

Married TRP here: My wife knows I’m red pill (well purple pill). We have RP conversations from time to time and while we don’t agree on everything, we have enough agreement on many of the important foundational concepts. And shes generally receptive to a logical argument.

Well if you’re giving general advice for young men trying to navigate the intricacies of dating, you speak in terms of generalities not exceptions. And in general women don’t like, can’t handle male vulnerability. So a better strategy is to find other avenues of dealing with your stuff rather than leaning on your female/potential female romantic partner.

The part you’re missing is that Women generally DON’T want their man to be vulnerable despite what they say. Its a practically universal experience for men who have been completely vulnerable with a woman they liked to have her retract and lose attraction for him. My red pill advice wouldn’t be to “bottle it all up, but to deal with it however you need to. Women don’t like fully vulnerable men, they like bite-sized, prepackaged morsels of vulnerability that you give to them, to make them feel sp…

Your woman is NOT your therapist. Sad to say but I’m not sure you can EVER truly be vulnerable with your woman if you want her to stay. That doesn’t mean you can’t share your feelings with her, be honest with her, even shed a tear from time to time. But being completely vulnerable? No that requires a lot of history for a relationship to withstand that. Never with a girlfriend and probably only on rare occasions with a wife and under certain circumstances.

I was obsessed with a girl that I wasn’t initially physically attracted to. It never turned into anything because she was really religious and spurned all of my advances. It wasn’t like she was ugly though, she just was just kinda nerdy and not “conventionally attractive”

/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 12:50 AM

You’re right that the 1-10 system is insufficient. I prefer the Patrice O’Neal’s 30 point scale containing 3, 10 point scales/categories (ugly, average, gorgeous). But to pretend as of beauty is completely subjective is also wrong. There is usually a fair amount of consensus within a point or two
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 12:43 AM

No that’s not the way it works. If you like someone thats a 4 or 5 you just like a 4 or a 5. Liking them doesn’t make them more attractive

You people don’t understand the definition of “entitlement.” If you feel entitled to something you DON’T expect to have to do anything to get it. You feel it is inherently yours. If you are willing to work for something and you don’t get what you’ve EARNED you feel disrespected and cheated. The problem is not “nice guys feel entitled” The problem is nice guys have been lied to about what women want, and they’ve been lied to about how to get women. Actually what you described isn’t monkey-branching, but hypergamy. Monkey-branching is the idea that when a woman leaves a man or on the rare occasion she is broken up with she doesn’t just fall to the ground (without a relationship). She has dozens of other men she can jump into a relationship with (branches to catch a hold of).

Value would be based on both individual’s needs, and the time, energy, emotional labor, resources etc, required to meet those needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 05:24 AM
1

We disagree. I think value can be more easily quantified than you do so balance/imbalance is not nearly as incoherent for me as you seem to think it is
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 05:07 AM
1

Thinking you got a good deal, and that the transaction is fair doesn’t mean it wasn’t imbalanced. Yes not all things are valued the same but also not everyone has the same needs. Claiming that value is entirely subjective and unquantifiable doesn’t really help with the claim that there IS balance. It just renders the concept of “balance” virtually incoherent in this discussion
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 04:53 AM

I’m not at all assuming that, thats why i believe that most relationship transactions are imbalanced
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 12:36 AM

Each person still has their own individual emotional needs, experiences, and things to offer. People generally don’t date the carbon copy of themself after all, they date the one that compliments them. So each partner leans on the other in different ways. One may not need nearly as much as the other partner and has more to give (for example) and is comfortable doing more of the giving, and as long as they are appreciated and appropriately reciprocated thats an acceptable arrangement for both…eve…

Simple example. Having a baby involves both male and female contributions but in no way is a 1:1 even exchange. There’s an imbalance in the physical burden on the woman, theres generally an imbalance in the social/financial burden on the man (at least for the few months a woman is unable to work and doesn’t have maternity leave). Most relationship transactions are imbalanced.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/22 04:44 PM

Why WOULDN’T you love someone you see as average?! What a strange question. Is love only for women who are physically amazingly beautiful? Her personality is part of what attracts you past the the 3-6 month honeymoon phase anyway…🤨
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/22 04:19 PM

Again this assumes that average guys are complaining because they cant get supermodels. Most guys here are of the mind that average girls are valuing themselves above their actual smv. So a significant portion of average women see her average male counterpart as undesirable and undateable.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/22 12:25 AM
3

Rulers can impose order not biological compatibility. And if your claim (which is common but which I reject) is that women have had NO choice/NO freedom (as opposed to men), and given choice and freedom they would have chosen otherwise than it is actually choice and freedom which are incompatible with life/survival

Disagree. Women are really good at reading social queues in men, historically they had to be able to discern a man who was dangerous from one who wasn’t quickly and based on minimal info. That said being a big/tough looking guy who has no intention and/or no ability to stand up for or defend himself or by proxy his woman would be immediately obvious to your average woman and would be a huge turn off. Its true a woman doesn’t necessarily want her man fighting in the streets all the time, but she …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/22 08:25 AM

Nah…the reason why at least it seemed like men had more options is not because “patriarchy.” Its because 1. More men were dead so there were more women living at any given time, and 2. It was fairly easy to qualify as a marriageable woman. Just needed to hit puberty. Whereas to be a marriageable man you had to have a competency.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/22 08:08 AM

Your general claim doesn’t seem to be true based on the high percent of female initiated divorces, and rising infidelity rate amongst women. Women may settle but they don’t forget what they’re attracted to
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/22 04:22 AM

I agree with this completely. Most of the “RP leaders” are just using RP talking points for their own interests. They talk about marriage and traditionalism but all they want to do is rack up super high body counts and drive a bugatti. They are ACTIVELY creating the high N count women they then complain about while the average guy is just trying to find somebody he can chill with. They are creating the conditions that make it hard for average guys, raking in donations from those same men giving …

I didn’t say its an excuse, its an explanation. And I don’t hold myself accountable for the culture I was born into. My mother and father took explicit steps to separate me and my brothers and sisters from the toxic aspects of black culture. And Im passing that down to my children
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 05:32 AM

And this is exactly why i say i DONT believe feminist when they say their movement is about equality. It isn’t…its about elevating women and femininity by denigrating men and masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 04:51 AM
1

Yes that is a problem in the black community. Black people are also victims of an arguably ongoing cultural catastrophe of sorts. What IS “black” after all but an amalgam of forgotten/stolen African cultures, and a hodgepodge of self-taught European cultures.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 01:24 AM
2

Yeah I’ve heard that definition before and i disagree with it based on the philosophical underpinnings of feminism, the actions of self professed feminists, and the unchecked words from their mouths. Name calling doesn’t make you right it means you have no argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 10:36 PM

Your comparison is bad…an average looking guy who dresses frumpy and doesn’t shave and doesn’t take care of himself with an outgoing personality isn’t necessarily attractive to women. How you dress, do you shave, how you outwardly represent yourself IS PART of your personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 03:05 PM

In one way by pushing less than charitable interpretations of history that cast men and masculinity as the oppressive big bad and femininity as innocent, and blameless and morally superior, and at worst solely reacting to the big bad “toxic masculinity”

When you’re talking about how a baby is made is the masculine and feminine contribution “equal” No theres a massive imbalance there. When you get into the minutiae “equality” becomes an almost incoherent concept.

Saying “I’m a queen” “I am a goddess” is NOT synonymous with “I am enough.” A queen is leagues above everyone else second ONLY to a king. A goddess transcends life itself and speaks truth into existence and is beyond reproach and infallible…come on if you cant see how that type of inflated ego could be a negative thing when you have to deal with regular ol people, then you’re simply not trying
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 08:31 PM
1

Patriarchy is a net loss for women as opposed to what other successful system of social governance?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 08:24 PM
2

Theres a yawning chasm in between healthy self esteem/high self esteem and “Im a goddess” “I’m a queen.” And yes I would agree that equating the ability to have sex with self worth IS a masculine way of thinking, but modern women are becoming more masculine. Its also obvious to me that the ability of women of all beauty levels to extract attention from more men than ever before through social media absolutely provides an unnatural ego boost to many women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 08:23 PM

Artificially inflated, unnaturally high self esteem IS bad for your health and relationships

I generally don’t speak about masculinity and femininity in terms of “equal.” I see them as both natural and necessary aspects of the human experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 06:07 PM
22

If i were to accept your claim that would mean that many modern women are strident purveyors of misogyny with the “I’m a queen, “I’m a goddess” madness, as well as 99% of feminism considering how it elevates femininity above masculinity
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 06:01 PM
2

As long as we can agree that not every decision to exclude woman was based on “patriarchal oppression”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 05:46 PM
2

Absolutely, I’ve never denied women’s contributions and sacrifices. Everyone working and sacrificing together is how we’ve survived and thrived. I will however add that while women were excluded from “professions of prestige” they were also excluded from most of the dying and accountability as well. It wasn’t all strippers and Ice cream parties over here either.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 05:04 PM
2

I know that was meant to be sarcasm, but its also true. Men DID build civilization. And women have no problems pointing out that “men have all the power and men made all the rules” when it suits their argument. I just also don’t believe that women’s roles historically have been as inconsequential as implied
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 03:22 PM

Yes I would. Thats why i was never a fan of casual dating (especially with my personality type). Doesn’t mean i don’t think its a necessary introduction to a relationship. A phone call can be a nice preview but its not a date

2

Gotta be face to face, need to be able to take in all the visual information, see them, smell them, touch them, all the non verbal queues play off each other’s energy. Flirting and establishing of real rapport and sexual chemistry is always going to be inferior over a phone

That’s not a date…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 12:42 PM

…lol a 20 year old who looks 30 likely has some shit going on…like trauma or drugs, or health issues or something 😬
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 08:56 PM
2

But her potential sexual trauma is an entirely separate set of issues that has nothing to do with HIS internal thoughts and feelings and everything to do with how she inflicts her own thoughts and feelings onto him. It is NOT Insecure to want to avoid that and reasonable to assume that women with many sexual partners are more likely to have some sort of sexual trauma.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 08:31 PM
2

If someone is in a “happily” monogamous relationship but sexually desires, or is sexually attracted to others from time to time that says nothing about how happy they are in their relationship, and the fact that you’re not giving in to every sexual whim because your partner wouldn’t like it doesn’t mean you’re being coerced into a monogamous relationship you don’t want.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 06:52 PM
3

This is so full of false assumptions, and weird presuppositions I’m not sure where to start. How about here: “They believe virgin wives are less of a threat to their ego and security because they typically come with less sexual trauma” If a man doesn’t want to deal with a woman’s sexual trauma what does that have anything to do with ego?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 06:45 PM

Absolutely yes, I say this as the designated bug killer of a house with 3 women. I’m also the son of a strong woman that I love and respect more than any other woman that is no less reduced to a squealing wild woman at the sight of a little mouse 🤣 These aren’t even the best examples and most are fairly trivial but are still true

I have a hard time believing that. I can see if its up front honesty because too much too fast can be a burden most of the time. But the idea that most men want to permanently live a lie and a fantasy suggests a level of childishness, disfunction, and cognitive dissonance that seems uncharacteristic of this space. But your statement “if everyone was honest you’d know if they were trustworthy” that’s just not how it works. You might as well say “if lies didn’t exist” or “if bad things didn’t happ…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 09:34 PM
1

Thats either because they’re all psychopaths, or there are other aspects of socializing that make honesty and transparency a risky proposition. Likely because trust is not an assumption. Im willing to bet 90% the people that say lying is better would choose honesty if they had some assurances that the other people were being honest as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 09:22 PM

…Do we really need a CMV for “is telling the truth better than lying?”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 09:14 PM

The term “equally” is probably not a good term to use when male and female dating experiences are so different and imbalanced.

I have a feeling that our disagreements are more semantic, but if we got down into the minutiae, we would be more on the same page. I believe after all that a lie is one of the most destructive things you can inflict upon an intimate, or potentially intimate relationship. However i do also believe that no one else is entitled to my secrets. They belong to me and everyone has the right to protect themselves from potential harm. Sure but consistently when women describe the type of guy they want, they use the term “nice.” So at minimum they are poorly communicating their preferences to men.

OP is NOT making the point he seems to think he’s making. He’s actually making the same mistake a lot of women make. Thinking some is attractive enough to have sex with is not the same as thinking someone is worth taking seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 11:17 AM
1

I think its the “excitement” and the heightened emotions that makes it better for a lot of women. A good guy might be boring predictable and even keel, a bad boy is unpredictable, and gives a woman higher highs and lower lows. A broader range of emotions makes her feel more strongly for the bad boy. Oh didnt see the [question for women], ill hush now

I feel like Im being trolled here…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 07:31 PM

You’re original comment was something to the effect of “i fit the description of chubby and both attractive and average men hit on me and treat like shit.” I supplied an explanation, the fact that you think i was trying to “put women down” is your insecurity
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 06:49 PM
1

Ok whatever you’re convinced Im trying to put women down thats your own insecurity that you wont be convinced out of, there’s nothing more for me to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 06:38 PM
1

You just don’t understand how men think. There’s a difference between a woman that is attractive enough to have sex with and a woman that’s attractive enough to want to date long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 06:05 PM
1

That’s a less accurate response, and one designed to soothe the ego
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 05:19 PM
1

Actually you commented asking “why would a man sleep with someone he’s NOT attracted to” I corrected by saying he would go after a woman he views as less attractive NOT because he isn’t attracted to her, but because he’s less attracted, it still means he’s attracted
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 05:08 PM
2

Absolutely not, some men are hotter than other men. And its not an insult to me to acknowledge that. Women ALSO have no problems judging and ordering men into attractiveness hierarchies, but DON’T like it when they receive the same treatment
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 04:08 AM
1

I brought it up as a technicality. Man truth is sometimes uncomfortable especially to women and they don’t like to hear it. It was NOT a “put down.” I said what i said to communicate what was happening from a man’s perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 02:14 AM
5

The hostility comes from the fact that women are less than honest about it, imo
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 09:45 PM
3

Why do women take the idea that they aren’t all equally attractive as a personal insult? Why do women utterly reject the idea that they are in competition with other women?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 09:43 PM
5

Its not putting women down to say that some women are more attractive than others. And guys don’t always want to have to fight off 20 other dudes to go for the 7/8/9 at the bar
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 09:15 PM
6

Not “aren’t attracted to” but “less attracted to”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 07:33 PM
19

That makes sense, more attractive and even average attractive men may hit on a woman they view as being less attractive because they think she might be easier to have sex with
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 04:42 PM
1

Why is that hard to believe?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 01:53 PM
3

Ive met quite a few women who claimed to like a certain type of man, and or claimed to NOT like the type of guy I am with their female feminist friends but would be privately in my DMs constantly flirting with me…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/22 11:15 PM
10

I don’t think its that women had been “pressured” to be into manly men. I think they generally ARE into manly men. But because our modern culture encourages more sexual freedom (especially for women) women can still get their primal needs met by hooking up with masculine men while dating and marrying more reliable partners. That’s why women even in this space have agreed upon the distinction between first date fuckable men, and make-them-wait more serious relationship men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/22 06:58 PM
15

You’re not ACTUALLY disagreeing with the spirit of the argument. Yes of course you should watch and pay attention to a woman especially for non verbal signals, even HOW she speaks but you take the actual words with a grain of salt and you should rarely ever ask a woman for advice on how you as a man would go about attracting women. Thats the point being made here…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/22 12:03 AM

What do you think “following the red pill” even means? Anyone who learns something true about women has acquired “Red Pill” knowledge. Any successful man in the dating world regularly deploys RP knowledge, whether or not he “follows the red pill”

The idea that a woman is simply “showing confidence on social media” is a modern creation and totally fallacious. What you consider “showing confidence on social media” I consider attention fishing. It isn’t that guys “feel” entitled to comment. They ARE entitled to comment. If you are attention fishing and putting yourself out into the public square its YOU who isn’t entitled to ONLY nice comments. Its a mistake because its an inlluslon. The “freedom” and “independence” is like the end result of a movie, but no one sees all the prop crew and the hair dressers and the makeup artists costume designers and failed cuts and junk film, and re-writes, and stuntmen and green screens. Men who say “women have nothing to offer” usually mean “women have nothing to offer…but sex.” So you’re really not saying much but actually AGREEING with those men by focusing on women’s primary value as sexual things. Kind of unrelated but i think men’s biggest mistake, which was sort of inevitable, was creating a world that’s so safe and consistent and seemingly autonomous that women can even utter the phrase (and believe it) “I don’t need a man.” By offloading the traditional duties of men to…

Sure why not, but i read one of the posts you linked in your OP (the one comparing lack of sex, to neglecting children) and it doesn’t seem to tell the story you seem to think it does. Thats not a guy saying sex is all that matters

I agree with almost everything you posted. Only thing i would say different is that I think feminism has ironically convinced women that their femininity is inferior. So rather than appreciating it many women reject it and adopt a sort of forced masculine energy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/22 04:17 PM
2

This is BS. All relationships are transactional. This paints women as being solely motivated by altruism, where as men are just in it for what they can get. Fact is women are more generally motivated to uphold the female collective which they stand to benefit from. Its still self motivated. Just look at how vicious and relentlessly cruel women can be towards other women who work their way out of the in group. Female bullying is often worse than male bullying because it often goes beyond physical…

30 is not old for having fun, it’s getting into the danger zone for a starting point for a relationship with a trajectory of marriage and family. You ordinarily don’t come out of the gate having children. It usually takes time.

Simping isn’t just about spending money. Its basically any man who’s giving unreciprocated attention to a woman. Could be any form of attention: Likes, complements, help, time, attention, money, etc. I think that coupled with the reach of social media, simping serves to overvalue women in the dating market. Which is weird because women use the attention from men they aren’t attracted to, to boost their ego up to place where they feel entitled men they ARE attracted to, which are guys that wouldn…

Thats a feeling you don’t have to bring to these discussions. Most of the times guys are just trying to sort out what reality seems to be from what we’ve been told. You have to be sensitive to the fact that most of these guys HAVE tried to listen to women. They’ve listened to women sware the sky was green while we’re both staring at a blue sky. You also have to be sensitive to the fact that women DO sometimes lie, or are just bad reporters of events, or at least bad at communicating in terms men…

Like i said using a false generalization, or falsely employing generalizations doesn’t detract from their usefulness. I wont speak for what others do but I usually won’t call anyone a liar. I’ll usually say something to the effect if either your perception is wrong or you’re and exception.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/22 10:24 PM

I really don’t get the push back on general statements. You have to accept SOME generalities just to make basic decisions. Sure everyone is unique in SOME way but if a trend is detected and people’s behaviors are predictable and understandable given certain variables doesn’t that justify a generality? If you don’t like the generality and what it implies thats one thing, it could be a false generality based on an improper sample size, but that doesn’t devalue generalities…in general

Depends, is your definition of “not sexually attracted to” synonymous with disgusted and repulsed by? Because i can see myself in an LTR with someone I’m not entirely sexually attracted to, I could even see myself having sex with someone I’m not entirely sexually attracted to provided there were other qualities she had that i needed/wanted in a partner.

Romance for men is like Mass Effect. You save the world kill a million baddies and get to bang the hot girl of your choice
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 04:15 PM
1

I never mentioned “romantic relationships” i mentioned quality relationships. Also i think freedom is on a sliding scale, too much can also be a very bad thing. I think most people share that intuition considering how commonly we organize ourselves into fairly rigid structures, and naturally build in ways to socially enforce those rigid standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 01:44 PM
1

Oh yeah thats right women never do anything, they have no power, they have no agency, they barely even make choices or anything, they’re just like infants if you think about it really eh?

Oh ur right, my bad…I dono why i thought I was talking to OP this entire time guess i need a nap or somethin

Your title states: The decline in quality relationships is just a reflection of an increase in human freedom. Was that a typo?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 12:27 AM
1

Yes but only if she does a lot of work to abandon or at least not use (or exploit) her femininity
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 12:19 AM
1

Well then that would actually set a paradigm of poor quality relationships, and all this new freedom would actually improve the overall quality of relationships (which sounds like thats what you believe anyway). But it also sounds like you’re observing a decrease in the quality of relationships and also attributing it to an increase in freedom…so i don’t know WHAT you actually believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/22 12:17 AM
1

Well your title stated quality is decreasing, now the claim is quantity is decreasing but quality is increasing? Either way my essential claim is that if freedom is actually the cause, and freedom is a good thing it wouldn’t have a negative impact on the quality of relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/22 11:32 PM
1

If the more “free” you become the more poor your relationships become you need to re-evaluate your perspective a bit. Perhaps not every option is worth while just because you have the “freedom” to choose it

Sweet sugary artificially flavored food is designed to game our taste buds. If you introduce sweat sugary artificially flavored foods to children they will develop a preference for it, even become addicted to it. Because children want sweet sugary food doesn’t mean they’re being tricked…well wait yes it does. How is this not similar?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 06:25 PM
1

But you ARE tricking guys by gaming their innate preference for smooth faced younger looking women
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 06:01 PM
1

I never said women don’t care about looks (in fact i think this is the second time I’ve said I didn’t say that) But the ways in which women care about a mans looks are generally not hacked by makeup in the same way that the ways men care about a woman’s looks IS. And feminism will fail primarily because all its conclusions and behavioral prescriptions are based on erroneous observations.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 05:44 PM
1

So ideas surrounding sex and sexual attractiveness, and pair bonding which are evolutionarily some of the oldest and most hard coded into our psychology which also happen to be cross cultural, can just he written off as environmental? Thats even MORE ridiculous. And I’m highly doubtful that norms are changing nearly as much as you seem to think in such a short amount if time.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 02:46 PM
1

Yes but the female dominance hierarchy is based on physical attractiveness whereas the male dominance hierarchy isn’t. So there’s A reason why women are more inclined to enhance and perfect their physical looks, where as men are more inclined to employ other types of enhancements
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 01:09 PM
1

The point I’m making is that an attractive man will be attractive with or without makeup. Also when women are attracted to a man its not just about his face
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 11:44 AM
1

No the idea that male attractiveness is about smooth skin and flawless young looking features is wrong. A pudgy, pimply faced, short, socially awkward, unattractive guy is not gonna put some foundation and concealer on and all of a sudden the ladies love him. But a man with an athletic muscular frame, good facial features, brimming with confidence who’s ALREADY attractive can put on some makeup and likely STILL be attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 11:33 AM

No one said that. But the idea that the difference between a man getting no dates and getting some dates is makeup is delusion.

Yes the emotion and affection we have for children are also evolved responses, and can also be seen in the animal kingdom to some extent. Hell different species have been known at times to act in a motherly way towards other species of animals and raise them in their own packs. Is that love? Or is that some evolutionarily imposed motherly duty being hacked?

I can agree with how you’ve framed modern women’s pursuit of happiness, though I would consider their desire for broader goals in and out of relationships more frivolous and selfish. Thats why for instance a lot of working women once they get to a certain age become difficult to keep as employees because they become focused on having children (even when not married). I also think that economic conditions, and political policies have attempted with some success to supplant the necessity of husban…

Ok well technically I’m a TRP man and I think I can safely say that sex is just as mechanical for me as for the majority of “normal man.” While most men in LTRs love and cherish the one they’re having sex with, the act of sex for them is still mechanical

Men need to have more compassion for their wives? We already agreed that men get abused just as much as women, men are likely to work more hours than women, men also don’t get as much sex as they want from their wives, I would posit that men do more work around the house than they are given credit for, yet women are still initiating 80% of divorces, and lets not even get into what a mess divorce court is and custody madness…😳 If anyone needs to show more empathy it’s women to their husbands.

Even from an evolutionary perspective women don’t facilitate the survival of the species in the same way that men do. Men facilitate the survival of the species by being willing to sacrifice themselves for the child bearers aka women. Women facilitate the survival of the species by preserving themselves or being willing to sacrifice themselves for the children. I disagree that men in general are willing to sacrifice their lives for their women because they think their women will do the same. I think that modern women have been sold a version of happiness and romance that is shallow artificial and fallacious. I think women have moved away from duty and responsibility in terms of marriage and have become more focused on selfish fleeting happiness. Its an unjustified assumption that every or most women who divorce do so because of physical, financial, or verbal abuse. A lot of abuse victims DONT actually leave. Also women can be just as abusive as men (physically, verbally and emotionally, and thats backed by statistics), and men still leave only 20% of the time. I’m doubtful of that, for most men marriage isn’t about “happiness” it’s about duty. So if a marriage and family gives a man “purpose” that might be misinterpreted as “happiness.” Modern women especially are less concerned with duty and responsibility and seem to be focused on “happiness” which is fleeting over the course of LTRs.

It ISN’T common knowledge, our culture has just adopted and enforced monogamous marriages. From a woman’s perspective it’s a betrayal because they tend to attach sex to love more than men. From s man’s perspective having sex with another woman doesn’t mean he doesn’t love his wife
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/22 09:12 AM
-1

It’s a misunderstanding that because a husband has a woman on the side he necessarily no longer loves, wants, or feels duty-bound to his wife
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/22 07:53 AM
15

This comparison is flawed because it uses a male centered metric to judge women. Men in general are more willing to sacrifice themselves because evolutionarily men are more disposable. Has little to do with “love” per se. Male praying mantises and male black widows both allow themselves to be killed by the female after they’ve fertilized her eggs, and she uses his body as food for the hatchlings. Do these species even experience love? Unlikely.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/22 07:50 AM
18

If your claim is that men see women as things with levels of value not people, and they leave when their thing loses value then why still do women initiate 70-80% of divorces. Wouldn’t that instead prove that women see their husbands as things that provide value and are more likely to leave?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/22 07:44 AM

Its one thing to say two incomes are better than one. That is absolutely true in this economy. My definition of “serious relationship” involves a heavy focus on marriage and family. So naturally that is not the same as a high school relationship. Also two male friends hanging out sharing fart and piss jokes playing video games together playing laser tag is not the same type of relationship that a man and a woman have that eventually grows into a marriage style partnership. I don’t think this is a universalizable solution. Having the ability to push through anxiety and failure and still accomplish a goal is an important indicator of competence and confidence in men which are very attractive qualities to women. The same reason anyone should care about anyones preferences. Because if they ever have intentions on serious relationships they need to understand what the other desires, to model their actions and/or realistically understand their own options

People are free to do what they want. We are free to judge them and comment however we want. Why do people think that the right to do what you want means everyone has to be closed mouthed and smiley faced about it. I would disagree that other women are quite as harsh with black men and cut quite as deep as black women do. And also black women who do get good jobs don’t tend to stay humble about it, and they tend to disrespect black men even more from a misplaced belief of “i did it so if you cant do it you aint SHIT” not considering that black women and black men’s struggles are NOT the same. And that black men don’t have all the same privileges that feminism has taught white women that all men have.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 06:00 PM

As a black man married to a black woman (whom i love but who has her moments) I can confidently say that it is difficult if not impossible to protect a woman who is operating outside of the reasonable boundaries of that protection. It is also difficult to be motivated to protect a woman who is actively hostile and disrespectful to you or rarely bothers to show empathy for your own unique struggle.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 04:42 PM
1

Not true at all. It is a NEW cultural thing where men are becoming less and less willing to help women. And that has something to do with the rise of the “modern woman” and the cultural denigration and feminization of masculinity. One of the most common complaints from black women for instance is that “black men don’t protect black women” which isn’t exactly true, but the perception is there and so they complain about it.

Im 39. Sort of in line with this sub, I think that women feel entitled to male attention and male protection. The act of protection is an act of sacrifice. You can’t see someone as an equal partner if you expect them to potentially sacrifice their life for you. You are necessarily prioritizing your own life above theirs
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 01:22 PM
1

Not exactly, the reason why i think men and women cant truly be friends doesn’t entirely have to do with sex, thats just one variable that changes the nature of any potential truly equal partnership. I would even argue that women aren’t capable of seeing men as equal partners either.

You’re a woman, guys are different. But i can tell you there is a difference in the Response elicited from a feminine presenting woman and a more masculine presenting woman. True and not true. It is simply a fact that most men will be attracted to most women on some level, and this presents a barrier to true friendship. That doesn’t exactly mean that every woman is therefore reduced to fuckable and not fuckable, but it is true that inserting a woman into a man’s group will change the dynamic in the group, because men naturally compete for women’s attention. Children in their formative years get affirmation from their parents. A mature adult, or even an adolescent gets confidence from within and is unaffected by external. On the flip side there are people that because they are so lacking in confidence they might be talented but they don’t see it. People tell them “wow you did a great job” but they don’t see it because they are so insecure. Their lack of confidence prevents then from even being able to acknowledge positive external reinforcement.

It should be obvious. If a woman’s primary value to men is her biology, being seen generally as an object represents a persistent threat to her own mate selection process/goals of finding the BEST male for her offspring. The problem is just that sexual attraction is not a laser beam its a broadcast. I think thats why we developed all these social rituals like chilvary and such, so that men can demonstrate to women that they aren’t a threat. Again you miss the point. This isn’t about morals or ethics, or what the best choice is, or what someone’s subjective preference is. Its about who has the power to make a choice and whose choice is imposed onto the other. The one who has that power is undoubtedly more culpable. Almost every time i have this conversation with a woman it is practically impossible to get her to accept this point.

Ur mad. The fact that a woman can choose to abort or keep a baby despite the fathers wishes makes NO difference? If thats what you’re going to come back with there’s nothing more I can say…🤨
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 01:13 PM
1

She doesn’t just have “an additional option” she has many more options as well as legal enforcement of her choices. When a baby is born it is 100% due to the mothers choices or lack there of. Because women are in control of sex i’d say a man is no more than 30% responsible for even getting a woman pregnant. There are so many different forms of contraception, and on top of that a woman has an awareness of her body and her cycle and when shes likely to get pregnant.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 12:32 PM
1

Even in your response you’re failing (on purpose) to acknowledge it’s her OPTION to abort or not, or to forfeit the baby or not. Some times a woman can legally give up the child even if the father wants to keep it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 11:21 AM
1

You’re missing the point entirely. A woman has choices and no legal ramifications. A man has NO choice, and is legally responsible for the woman’s choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/22 10:50 AM
1

But in the west the woman has all the power and choice in terms of keeping and having the baby. A man’s options are condoms or abstinence. And honestly you can remove condoms from that short list because a woman can steal the condom inseminate herself and still be legally entitled to support from the father. So when a woman has a baby it is entirely her choice.

Patriarchal societies can still be gynocentric. Yes men have majority of the positions of power but 70-80% of consumer decisions are made for or by women. That means basically women control capitalism. And what have men done with all their power? Have they made the world into some man’s paradise like feminists claim? Well not really. /r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 02:00 AM
1

Assuming you find the LTR thats worth it, you’re willing to sacrifice your desire for variety. A good LTR imo gets you to different heights of “happiness” than the short fleeting satisfaction of even a good hookup. But since true relationship happiness seems scarce, men who can, opt to satisfy their more base needs
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/22 01:56 AM

I don’t think hookups are really about “validation” I think the male sex drive is just tuned to variety.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/22 11:14 PM

I think that a lot of RP men are rightly skeptical of the legitimate “happiness” that can be extracted from LTRs. The mantra after all is “happy wife happy life” and the sentiment seems to be the same for non-marital relationships. There isn’t really an emphasis on making men happy and an awful lot of shaming of male desires. We’re kinda expected to just magically find happiness in the process of making the woman happy.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 02:24 AM
1

Ive been talking to several different people on this sub…but my original objection was to the suggestion that a man that chooses a financial abortion should have a permanent restraining order as well. There was no abuse implied. Just a one night stand, she gets pregnant, she decides to keep the baby, he says im not ready, she says im gona have it anyway. Abuse is not required
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 02:12 AM
1

Honestly you changed the argument by introducing abuse. My argument was never that a rapist, a molestor, or a violent maniac should have access to their children. Of course they should be in jail…🤨 Using extreme cases only pollutes the argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 02:02 AM
1

She was in a relationship with this man, had consensual sex with this man, many times, got pregnant by this man, kept this man’s baby… Considering that most inter-partner violence is bi-directional yes her validity as a parent should also be questioned
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:53 AM
1

“Sure it is, to use to the most obvious example, if he's abusive, physically, emotionally, sexually, etc., obviously in the best interest of the child to not have him have legal custody.” And what of the woman who had sex with kept, and had a baby by this man. Is she the best candidate to be raising and making decisions for a child?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:50 AM
1

It’s never in the best interests of the child to erect additional barriers between a child and a father. Again many people have suggested a man should pay back child support. This suggests that a mans only value to a child is his wallet…very sexist, very misandrist
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:40 AM
1

Fair enough i never implied a father who chooses a financial abortion should have legally bestowed rights or benefits of fatherhood. If the mother unilaterally chooses to have the child she should have the responsibility and all the legal rights and benefits that come along with it. My opinion is that in the actual best interests of the child if a father later decides to be a part of the child’s life he should be allowed.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:28 AM
2

Never mentioned custody… but several people have implied the idea of “fatherhood benefits.” what exactly do you mean by fatherhood benefits, and how do they benefit the father exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:19 AM
5

So Im assuming for consistency’s sake you don’t believe mothers who give up their children to adoption should have the option of reunification, or even the possibility of an relationship with their children either?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:03 AM
2

My initial comment was to refute that there should be a permanent restraining order with the financial abortion, which ISN’T for the benefit of the child but to appease a spiteful vengeful mother. A woman can also legally abandon the child, which also isn’t for the child’s benefit. If women really were primarily interested in the child’s best interest there wouldn’t be so many single mothers raising multiple children. In fact I’ll give women enough credit to say that they have been wrongfully so…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 01:00 AM
2

No i want men to have the choice to be a father just like women have the choice to be a mother. And no just because a woman’s abortion is final doesn’t mean you should take additional legal steps to MAKE a man’s financial abortion just as final…just call it another unfortunate male privilege.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/22 12:12 AM
2

Life actually can work like that. My initial reply was to your desire to basically have a restraining order with the financial abortion, which imo is unnecessary and spiteful Would you say that a mother who was addicted to drugs and has her baby taken away should have a permanent restraining order? Should she NEVER be able to rehabilitate and be a part of her child’s life if she so chooses?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 11:55 PM
1

Having to work extra hours for 18 years absolutely infringes on a man’s bodily autonomy. And being considered gutter trash by a spiteful, hateful, hypocrite means literally nothing to me 👍🏿
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 11:40 PM
1

Yes its very complicated as well as people emotions which are often temporary. But the same freedom a woman has to not be forced into motherhood, I believe men should have. I also believe that a man and the child shouldn’t be permanently punished because a man’s emotions at that time were understandably “I don’t want a child right now”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 11:22 PM
1

If the mother chooses to keep a child from a one night stand without any guarantees from a potential father the child is likely better off without HER. And i never said the father should have a RIGHT to the child after a financial abortion. I believe the option for future involvement or possible reunification shouldn’t be spitefully closed off. I never even said that a financial abortion implies no financial involvement from the father. Just that a woman shouldn’t be able to unilaterally decide …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:48 PM
1

You women scream bloody murder at the thought of politicians taking your right to abortion away, and possibly FORCING you to have a child you don’t want to have, while you opt to FORCE a man to accept a child HE didn’t consent to, or pay for a child he never consented to or be thrown in jail all for a child he never chose to be involved with And then to top it off you want to spitefully deny a man (and the child) a change of heart and any possible future reunification. What a spiteful, hateful, …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:35 PM
2

Exactly, which as I said is spiteful, selfish, and has nothing to do with the “best interests of the child” and has everything to do with her hurt feelings and her desire to punish the father, usually to the detriment of the child. Thank you for being honest
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:17 PM
2

We can ask questions back and forth, if making sure the child had adequate support was so important to the mother she would have established all that before she decided to have the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 10:02 PM
3

Why should a women get the benefits of having financial support for the child she chose to have without being married first? But to be frank its not about the father extracting some benefit from parenthood, its about the child benefiting from having a father in his or her life…in any capacity, assuming the woman chooses to have a baby by a man who’s a semi decent human being.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 09:40 PM

And there are a variety of situations where men get ignored as well, you’re doing a terrible job of justifying the claim that women by default are treated with disrespect and general unkindness. Though it has diminished quite a bit chivalry is still a thing…whats the male equivalent?

Being ignored is not unkindness unless you feel entitled to attention. The MAJORITY of men are ignored, especially by women. Most men are generally far more willing to accommodate the average woman than the average man. How have you reached your conclusions?

I believe what men do (and/or what they should do) is focus their emotions into problem solving. But as an example if me and the wife are out and we’re jumped by a guy with a knife, my immediate emotion is terror. I generally don’t speak in terms of oppression when talking about male/female historical relations because that often frames events in a way that is prejudicial to the point of being counterfactual. But this is an unnecessary tangent. What started us down this path was the idea that women choose men. If essentially you believe that because of oppression women never really chose men instead men and masculinity was something that was imposed upon women. Then we’re simply viewing the field from dif…

For most of history most men couldn’t vote either. And saying women had a difficult time is one thing, saying they were oppressed directly juxtaposes their experience to the typical male experience which was also full of hardship and restrictions and unfairness. So the term “oppression” is NOT warranted.

Everyone was treated like shit, life and surviving was hard and many more men than women died back in those times so no I won’t grant you that “women were oppressed” Besides that gen Zers and millennials are not at all setting good examples for happy and healthy relationships. Women participate in the bullying of bad male emotions just as much as boys, its arguable that the men are simply enforcing the rules set by women. After all women are in large part responsible for defining masculinity. Even in using terms like a “healthy way” to express your emotions is proving my point that woman DON’T actually want male emotions. They want a version of male emotions tailored to their sensibilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/22 02:21 PM
23

I think the reasons why men bottle up their emotions is because since masculinity is performative, we live under the constant fear that we lose our value. We also learn at an early age that women DON’T actually like us expressing certain emotions. Ive talked to/listened to many men who have confirmed they’ve had the experience of expressing too much of their emotions or expressing the wrong emotions and the women actually withdrew and became less attracted to them. No when women usually talk about “emotional communication” they’re usually talking about communicating in a female way. There is rarely consideration for understanding or empathizing with the way in which men experience and deal with emotions. It typically is a woman demanding a man change the way he deals with his emotions to suit her needs.

Im married and I’ve never cheated, but I don’t pretend that I’m no longer attracted to other women, and my wife doesn’t get offended when she notices that I’m attracted to other women. In fact being honest about it has made her MORE secure in our relationship because she knows I choose her every minute of every day.

Sure i don’t endorse lying and stuff, but your initial point was that people who cheat want the allure and sneakiness. I disagree at least for guys they often just want sex when they want it, and they also what their girl, and they rightly understand most women wont go for that. Not justifying it but men are simple creatures. Its not about the drama and sneakiness, and “forbiddenness.” If guys could have their girl and have all the extra sex they wanted with no stress they would do that.

You’re conflating 2 things. Being good at sex, and consistently getting women. Those are two entirely different things. That weakens your point. Then your studies are wrong or you’re misinterpreting the data, or you’re missing part of the data. No all you’ve shown is that women don’t release bonding hormones just by looking at men the same way men do which makes sense, because majority of what a man wants from a woman (evolutionarily) can be received visually or assumed by her appearance. Whereas for women what a woman wants/needs from a man can not be gleaned from simple visual queues. A man doesn’t look like a good, competent protector and provider that has to be demonstrated. Here’s one https://www.divorcenet.com/resources/common-reasons-marriages-end.html It used to be higher on the list but its still top 5 in most studies I’ve seen. As a response to your comment the “falling in love” is the easy part but making it out of the honeymoon phase is a different story, that’s where things start to fall apart and how you really feel about each other becomes more apparent. Im not even sure I would consider the initial “falling” phase part of the actual love process.

Women can and do fall in love for suboptimal reasons and with poor expectations (or at least they fall in lust and become infatuated) and thats why most relationships don’t last and 50% or marriages fail. Women have fallen in love because the sex is good but those relationships usually end very badly. I think you’re taking my comment in a direction i didn’t necessarily Intend . There may be an argument to the idea that in our current dating/marriage environment, the risk just isn’t worth it because the rewards continue to diminish and there’s no security for men. I’m not talking about “romance” I’m speaking more in terms of the greater satisfaction involved in marriage, family, and raising children. That opens up a greater range of happiness (but yes also potentially greater pits of despair) than is available to someone by themself with their hobbies.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/22 07:13 PM

Thats one end of the MGTOW spectrum, and imo at least a more honest perspective. But pretending like hobbies and activities is a substitute for an intimate connection is just a lie.

The idea that “society” creates the pressure for people to be in relationships is the same type of argument that “society” creates gender roles. The idea is not that you’ve found “true happiness” being alone so you don’t NEED to find happiness in a relationship. The idea is that by being comfortable with yourself and not being dependent on someone else for your own self worth, you wont over-burden the person you eventually end up in a relationship with and risk ruining the relationship by being …

No I wouldn’t do that. Just like I wouldn’t need my wife to experience all the things i have to put up with in general as a man, and in being in a relationship with her. I just need her to be aware of the fact that I have a world of experiences just like she does but a little different and to have a little empathy. Every once in a while she forgets and we have to talk and I have to remind her. Just because I don’t outwardly erupt my emotions the same way she sometimes does doesn’t mean I’m not g…

Culture will affect which tool is used far more than individual users intent. There’s barely a difference between the average BP/RP 20 year old male’s intent…whats the deciding principle there?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/22 02:16 AM
2

That assumes that men are far more single minded than they actually are, and that they approach dating/sex in a vacuum, as if no other experiences or conditions play a factor. Womanizing didn’t become a thing only when TRP came along…arguably the most successful womanizers are fairly blue pilled.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/22 02:02 AM

The user can have intersecting intents. You’re left to assume which one is operative. Both blue pill and red pill men desire sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/22 01:41 AM

How the red pill is used is a reflection of the user’s intent not necessarily TRP itself. Yes there are some tools that are specialized while other tools are far more general.

For a fair amount of men dating life is and will be grim. Trying to convince every guy that he can be a sex god with 3 short steps is pure delusion. Unfortunately that strategy is a pretty big revenue stream in the RP community at the moment.

Paternity fraud should absolutely be criminalized and is a kin to rape. To say otherwise is to believe that women should not only be exempt from being punished for their bad behavior, but to believe that they should be rewarded

/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 03:46 PM

There’s some truth to that, but there are still a lot of hard jobs we’re just better at distracting ourselves. US 2.8 million work places injuries, 5,333 workplace fatalities annually, 95% male. And I wouldn’t exactly call working “a privilege” it was a requirement based on social responsibilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 03:17 PM
6

According to studies women are reporting more unhappiness than men, now alot of the studies I’ve seen speculate about the gender pay gap, and high amounts of gendered violence, even though the west is safer than ever, and men are statistically more likely to be the victims of violence, and the wage gap is basically imaginary

Feminists have their work cut out for them because as we’re seeing as more and more women enter the work force women are becoming more depressed, more unhappy, less fulfilled, and we’re still in a circumstance where men are working more hours and work worse and more dangerous jobs If women ever had to do the lions share of the work (which I don’t really think would ever happen) we’d be in trouble.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 02:08 PM

No thats a single example of ONE way men could abandon participation in a system. I didn’t say I believed thats the most likely outcome, or one most men would follow
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 02:05 PM
5

…well thats a lazy misinterpretation of the argument 🤨
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 01:23 PM
14

Yes for some systems participation isn’t fully voluntary. But for instance if men in mass stopped choosing to work in high earning fields, or just stayed with their parents and worked part time if at all (because whats the point of dating marriage and family), that would drastically drain or reduce the pool of taxable income. Just a single example
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 01:19 PM
50

Well it just seems like a lot of systems that women extract benefit from require male participation in mass in order to function (and this could be systems of thought like “its never right to hit a woman” or “a man should always pay for dates” or systems of government aid, in which men’s tax dollars supply 70% of the funding, but women extract 70% of the benefits, or even systems that reinforce the sanctity of marriage, etc). Nope still twisting. If statistics tell me of one reality, and my experiences tell me of a reality, and my eyes tell me of one reality, and looking at peoples choices tells me of one reality, but when i ask a question (to someone who just might have a vested interest one way or the other) and the answer is contrary to what i have observed, I’m going to be skeptical. Furthermore when you ask probing questions and get circular answers and non answers, you get even more skeptical

Nah women don’t HAVE to conform to each generation. They can settle for just being a regular, plain Jane. But then they couldn’t get as much attention as they wanted. Women have a dominance hierarchy as well, which is based on who commands the highest “value” in the sexual market place. They do it to compete with other women not necessarily for men
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 02:09 AM

How are you certain that “on PPD, women are honest” have you verified all of their statements? I feel like i can confidently say that generally speaking men on PPD are not looking to be “appeased.” We’re looking for responses to questions that actually match reality. Now it IS possible that PPD women generally are being honest and they just happen to all be the exceptions to all the rules…but that is highly doubtful

If you haven’t dated at all why is your opinion on dating relevant? But to partially answer your question, I have NO idea where the “lack of accountability” complaint comes from for men, because every time theres a problem men are expected to either fix it or change themselves. And if the reward continues to diminish and the risk continues to get higher and the effort continues to increase, men are going to be less and less willing to change and that’s more or less what we’re seeing now. What re…

Are women and men the same? Are there the same expectations and requirements on men and on women? Are men they same size as women? Same strength as women? Do men want exactly the same things as women from dating and in relationships, do they NEED the same things from from their partners? Do men and women have the same fears? Are they hormonally the same? etc
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 06:34 PM

Similar not the same, but you seem to just want to be right. So i’ll just let you have whatever disagreement you’ve got going on there
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 06:20 PM
2

But were you inside his head, did you feel what he felt, or have you gained insight over the course of being with him for an extended period of time. I can admit that women in LTRs have BETTER insight than most, but still not as good as men who are dating. Another thing women just don’t get is that who a man is with their woman is NOT necessarily who they are. Its who they are FOR YOU.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 05:28 PM
2

That’s great, how much experience do you have being a man and dating women?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 05:20 PM

…ok I’ve been a man for almost 40 years and that is not NEARLY as true as you seem to think it is, which is proving my point
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 04:26 PM

I just used confidence as an example, but women don’t tend to have expectations of men “individually” there are many commonalities.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 04:22 PM

Still better to get the info from the source rather than having to translate your advice from “womanspeak”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 04:20 PM

Yes but there are very specific things a man can tell another man that a woman would not have insight on. And there are many types of confidence, not all are useful in a dating context.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 04:18 PM
5

Prime example
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 04:06 PM
8

But you don’t know what a man has to do to make it happen you just know generally what he did. Its like a woman may say “he was confident” now tell a man how to create confidence….go on…I’ll wait.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 03:54 PM
8

But she still wont know what that man had to do to make her feel how she felt, she’ll just remember how she felt…which doesn’t really help at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/22 03:36 PM

Its an extreme rarity that a woman (even one who dates women) can give a man good dating advice. She doesn’t have the experience of being a man and trying to date women. It feels different being a man, the world and women SEE you different and treat you different being a man, and have different expectations of men. A woman can tell you what worked on her or what she likes (and this is if shes capable of a level of introspection and honesty that most women are unwilling to attempt), but she has n…

How old are you? Just because you’ve never seen it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Women do value physical attractiveness, but also physical security, and confidence/social competence. If you’re not the best looking guy but still make her feel safe and know how to navigate social situations they’ll often forgive a little “ugliness”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 11:03 AM

I think its mainly feminism which has driven a rift between men and women, and social media has only accelerated the effects.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/22 04:44 PM

I thinks its more the third one. I really just think a-lot of women (who consider themselves warm and more empathetic) are just not aware of how little empathy they have for men, I also think that a lot of women are uncomfortable with just how disgusted they feel at seeing a truly vulnerable man. That’s why we often hear, “i dont mind if he cries a little bit”…but what if i have more than a little bit of emotions…?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/22 02:39 PM

If the desire for sex compels you to be a loyal boyfriend and eventual husband whats wrong with that…really?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/22 03:09 AM

Have you ever been in a relationship before? How old are you. I wouldn’t describe myself as a hero at all as an individual, But when I started dating something about a woman brought that protective nature out of me. You may not be as flawed as you feel you are. I would definitely say workout, as being short it would help to be in shape and strong. And also getting into fights is not the only way to be protective. It really is just about feeling like you’d rather yourself get hurt than her.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/22 10:11 PM

When men cry it evokes a revulsion response because men are generally the ones that are supposed to be fixing problems and doing things. The thinking is if he’s there crying he’s NOT doing something so he’s useless. Aside from that women historically have always been more necessary and most men have been di…

You’re not entitled to what you want, you get what you earn. And no one said anything about ownership, but when men are shamed for not wanting leftovers the entire “YAAS GIRL” “you’re a queen” “you’re a goddess” choir shouts their agreement
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/22 06:48 PM

Nope you’re not exactly right. I was always extremely good looking, typical tall dark and handsome black guy with the wavy hair, but really socially awkward and aloof. Being attractive as a man can only get you so far. Women will notice you but you still have to have the social skills, charisma, and confidence in order to close the deal. Even hot guys can talk there way out of some pussy, or just have issues over-coming anxiety.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/22 10:51 AM

It’s not jealousy. It’s entitlement. The average guy doesn’t care that the top 1%/20% guys are banging all the hottest supermodels. I don’t think its the intelligence that’s the problem, its generally the lack of social skills that comes with that intelligence. I agree there is a LOT or terrible messaging going on. There is a lot of over estimation of male threats and a lot of under estimation of female threats. This leads to more fear in women than is statistically justified at times and it also leads to a difficulty in men to detect, and admit female abuse. I personally was raised believing that women were angels and good and what not, and that they were supposed to be defended and protected as a lot of men (especially at my age 39) were. But even I …

We don’t really know how many men are falsely accused. As I understand it a non-insignificant portion of false accusations are deemed “unfounded” and so generally aren’t counted in the documented statistics. And often times the reputational damage does not require a conviction in the court of law to affect a man socially and financially
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 04:32 AM
3

“Pulling your weight” still implies that you need other people to pull their weight in order for the system to function. And since when did not needing other members of your group become a source of “empowerment?” Any group animal is a weaker version of itself when alone. So yes men should need women and women should need men because that’s how humanity works.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 04:23 AM
5

Saying that women are sometimes crazy, and men should hold themselves accountable for choosing crazy women are not mutually exclusive statements. Everyone has risks to navigate when dealing with other people and the potential risk is what i was responding to. And a woman can decide the sex was not consensual at any time, or she can just lie, and often times the accusation alone is enough to destroy a mans life.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 02:18 AM
5

Women do need men for survival. The fact that you believe that you don’t is a product of first world privilege. And it’s not about having “power over women” as all members of a group have some level of power and influence over the others, that means women have power over men as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/22 01:09 AM
5

…yeah well the claim that “women don’t need men” (aside from being highly misandrist in and of itself) simply isn’t true, any way you slice it. All the infrastructure and systems by which women (and everyone else) are able to engage in theatrical “independence” are created and sustained by mostly men. So for one, requiring men to do the hard dirty messy tireless work of keeping things running and then turning around and saying “we don’t need men” can be a little annoying 😬. But to dismiss the an…

The modern RP/MGTOW “movement” is a child of the Men’s Right’s Movement. We all watched as male and female activists TRIED to be heard, TRIED to educate and inform people of men’s issues, TRIED to make some type of change and hit one brick wall after another. It seemed like the harder they fought the louder the cries of “SEXISM” and “MISOGYNY” and “PATRIARCHY” became until people kinda stopped fighting, either because they gave up, or in my opinion they realized that any opposition to anything r…

And you’re framing military service and war (potentially one of the single most physically socially and psychologically traumatic experiences a human can have) as another privilege that women were denied…When even protection is viewed as oppression how is a good faith discussion even possible. I’ll do you one better, remove women from the picture entirely. Did every man have equal or any power? No… there were serfs, lords, nobles, tradesmen, knights, etc. MOST people (men and women) throughout h…

Dramatic? How so?

Well not in my opinion. Because the endgame for MGTOW is eventual re-integration with women. But in order for that to be optimal, men, women and society will have to change in very specific ways.

Your sentiment that women were “second class citizens” and the implication that they were denied the right to vote is greatly overstated, and diminished by historical fact. So women were oppressed but at the end of the day their “oppressors” gave them arguably the MOST important right for free…oops?

Its not shallow at all, but that analysis would include an acknowledgement that EVERYone is subject to the systems in different ways, and that you cant use “men have power” to hold them extra accountable for everything And furthermore if we are not asking honest and thorough questions we wont be able to change the systems effectively IF we deem they need to be changed, and sure some systems do

Accountable for their choices, the whole argument about the pay gap for instance, is just women angry because of THEIR choices, and is usually coupled with some level of belief that all outcomes should be the same no matter the input

You do realize that women COULD vote before they got the universal right to vote. They just had to have wealth and status, so there was a time when some women could vote and most men couldn’t. It was only after the universal draft that all men (who could be drafted) got the right to vote, and yes about 90 years later when finally more women wanted the right than DIDN’T want the right (due to the female led anti-suffragette movement) that women got the universal right to vote…for free btw, no req…

I don’t think MGTOW is about a solution. It’s an ideological acknowledgement that a solution may not be possible, and the (or at least an) appropriate response is self preservation and withdrawal

I don’t necessarily think the issue is that women need fewer rights in order for things to be fair. I think its 2 things That women have managed to secure more rights/privileges while dodging the accountability that goes along with those rights and privileges. I feel like one of the things feminism was really good at was framing social dynamics in terms of power and then convincing everyone that women have little or no power. By doing this we’ve been trained to ignore women’s own unique and inna…

You wrote “most men I’d met in a romantic way or sexual way were just assholes” maybe I misinterpreted, but there have been plenty that have voiced similar sentiments yet have a stable of assholes on speed dial. So if thats not you then my fault

Its practically impossible to engage in a true intellectual exchange of ideas when some parties refuse to engage honestly, immediately see the other party as a purveyor of hate, and generally come into the discussion with less than good intentions. Also there is literally so much deliberately placed bad information out there that its easy to assume your adversary is just a liar. And lets not even talk about all the feelings 😬

/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 09:17 PM

Well how are you defining “moral” because any set of evolved behaviors that serve a group benefit could be interpreted through the lens of morality and ethics. I would argue that an obligation to the well being of others is the default state of social beings living within a group. Any ideas about morality are philosophical overlays to pre-existing behaviors. They were first traditions before they were codified into legal and moral language
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/22 08:07 PM

I didn’t read morals or ethics into the OP. Unless you believe all prescriptions of behavior are moral prescriptions. But women and men are part of a collective with inseparable needs. And most mating behaviors have been hard wired into us because they facilitate the proliferation of the species.

Has nothing to do with morality, has to do with mate selection.

Who assigned this duty? Women who have selected men more inclined to protect, and who apply social pressure and give incentives to men who protect or show a willingness to protect. Women in mass aren’t dating/procreating with soft feminine men.

I really take umbrage with this “men are naturally more selfish” comment. The assumption that men are more selfish just ignores all the emotional labor that goes into being in a long-term relationship with a woman. I really think that is a supremely unempathetic statement…

Ok so am i only required to protect and sacrifice for the woman that has my baby? What if we only date for a few months, what if my wife gets into an accident and cant have children? I didn’t imply the wife does ALL the housework. Yes I judge tasks not just on their frequency but on the risk attached to those tasks. If the man has to do all the nasty dangerous tasks even if they are just occasional. Yes they are worth your more frequent safe and easy tasks. If only 1 time in our marriage I have to fight off a burglar I’ve potentially saved everyones lives. Or if just walking with me at night deters a man from robbing you at knife point and potentially worse then my value is …

How exactly are men naturally more selfish when men are programmed to and expected to be willing to sacrifice ourselves and risk bodily harm to defend the woman from any and all threats at the drop of a dime. Division of work? All work? Or just the work she doesn’t want to do? Does the the woman expect a 50% split on checking downstairs when theres a bump in the night to see if its a burglar with a knife? The hot sauce is for after he removes the condom, prevents the ladies from taking the contents and dumping them into her snatch so that she can get pregnant and “get the bag” as the kids are saying these days. It only became public knowledge because a woman tried to sue him recently…because she stole the condom and…well she didn’t like how the hot sauce felt down there

You’re assuming that all HVM are blue pilled. Ive heard of quite a few forever bachelors, men requiring their wives to sign prenups, rich guys who commonly seek the services of escorts, and theres even Drake dumping hot sauce in his condoms…sounds pretty RP to me

This sub is toxic? Dating/marriage is toxic for a lot of men, i don’t know what your complaint is worth here. You don’t trust men? You have practically an infinite number of public spaces to complain about it. Men who have lost trust in women have to carve out a damn secret underground fortress and it still gets invaded by shamers and cancelers. So again not sure what your complaint is worth here

It definitely is the female dominance hierarchy. They’re all trying to make themselves as pretty as possible to outdo the other women, but they’ve gotten out of control with the “enhancements” as they call them. It’s to the point where they look like dolls at times. I mean just watch how women scope each other out. Its totally them competing with other women
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/22 08:52 PM

The makeup the hair the lashes all that shit is women competing with each other. Theres a female dominance hierarchy just like theres a male dominance hierarchy
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/22 07:53 PM

Those are considerations too as in my experience pretty girls have not needed as much to lean on personality or charm or smarts because they’re pretty, but the fact that it’s probably going to be harder to keep her because she knows she’s pretty and will always have plenty of options, definitely goes into the calculus. And we wouldn’t necessarily agree that “conventionally attractive” means caked on make-up, nails, lashes, hair extensions, etc

My theory is too much competition, usually men who think this way believe that the additional risk/effort isn’t worth what you’re getting. Why aim for the tippy top when you can aim slightly lower for similar (maybe even better) results plus less work
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:53 AM

“Men perceive attractive women as more promiscuous looking” That largely depends on how you’re defining “attractive.” If you mean the most gorgeous woman with the most cleavage and the most ass cheeks hanging out? Yes that woman might be perceived as attractive and also more promiscuous. Take that same woman and put her in a tasteful dress that just hints at her figure but doesn’t reveal EVERYTHING they might see her differently
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:49 AM

Thats my point, men have “post nut clarity” as a temporary antidote to our craziness
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/22 12:29 AM

Theres also that while women may not be “blinded by horniness” they are largely emotional creatures and hormonal wrecks for at least a week out of the month A guy can jerk off to get some post nut clarity, nothing a woman can do to silence those hormones
