No the person who replied to my comment had a good point, I just think there's room to keep talking about it

I think toxic femininity works like women shaming each other or judging each other, if I care about myself and other women then I would be happy and supportive for a friend who wanted to be a traditional wife with the kids and husband and God first and I would not say negative things to her even if my own venture into that life did not work out Judging and shaming each other for appearance etc "A real woman like me has curves" I am now getting a lot of weird hate from women at work because I hav…

Am I reaching too much tho that..I've never seen the show but I can picture the scene and so young girls find that funny or empowering or both and it's not hard to think well they may think it's funny to kick boys there. I'm a woman, I don't like violence, but I've told my boy if a girl ever hits him there or kicks him there all bets are off, defend yourself because that shit is not cool

That is YOUR love. It is anecdotal. Not standard issue. Not right or wrong, just not every woman wants to clean up after grown men

Ok but a couple living together, kinda hard to avoid laundry and dishes and errands etc unless they just wear paper gowns and eat out for every single meal

It blows my mind when I talk to men on Tinder and they say it's weeks between matching with or meeting a woman, there's like tons of pretty cool and good men, sad how so many good guys are out there alone

Two of my (male) exes were abused and they both said that despite the physical and emotional abuse, they did not want to hit her back
/r/MensRights25/05/22 10:02 PM

I met someone right after I left my abusive marriage- he was abused too and the ONE time he pushed her away and walked away she called the cops and put him in jail. She was pouring a beer out on his head and slapping him...very fucked up part of culture we can't just keep ignoring and encouraging

I just want to keep a dialogue going and learn what I can- we have to talk and it's going to get rough sometimes but just lurking here I have learned some ways to be more understanding, less defensive, and more supportive to the men I interact with. I appreciate the civil interactions and the information given. It is also helping me raise my sons better, having knowledge of the issues men face.

It's the goat fucking situation again- I read a comment thread on there about women being raped, saying they would ignore a woman calling for help, one commenter said he'd bring popcorn. That's pretty disgusting.

Have to!! A few years ago I took a liking to a man at work. Gave him the eye, approached convo (I am unbearably shy) and the day he stopped wearing his very loud cologne, I got it. Taken, not interested- I took the hint, didn't look or talk much and we had a cordial and fine time as coworkers after that. I realize now he may have been nervous I would be A Crazy and could have put him in a dangerous situation. I know it sucks, but the more men talk about these things the better things can get.
/r/MensRights02/03/22 01:23 AM
2

Little more than leering then! Your relationship- your boundaries are that you want your eyes on her and you want her to know and appreciate that and she's not giving that gift back to you, that's not cool of her and that's her flaw, if through discussion she sticks to her wandering eyes ways, that's a tough decision for you and good luck
/r/MensRights20/02/22 03:43 PM

Yep. I was polite in concluding the convo but yes, very whorish to do so, keen observation!

Toxic femininity is, as I've seen, jealousy, bitterness, resentment- using those emotions to sabotage or manipulate other women. A new woman starts working with me, instead of helping her learn the job, I blame her for mistakes or throw her under the bus etc Is that also toxic femininity?

Our relationship declined and recently ended due to other factors but working suits me better and he's got more patience as a parent so it was actually attractive in some ways, having him keep the kids happy and safe. I used to call him a Dilf

I'm so sorry you had to endure assault, that's horrifying. Any and every victim needs support! One of the worst things I read on Reddit was a story of a male stripper- he was regularly assaulted, accosted, you name it. Standard for him. I know it happens to women as well, of course, but I think an unfortunately large swath of women think that kind of behavior is OK...because hey, it's a man. We have some evolving to do!!

It involves a lot of introspection and retrospection that hey, it's been hard admitting to myself I've done some fucked up things to the men in my life, relationship wise. No one likes to feel guilty but too bad. Just lost a relationship to some issues that I feel men are not given a healthy way to deal with i.e. insecurities and having negative attitudes about All Women.

I grew up during, you know, girl power and women rule and it was a really cool thing, as a kid, growing up supporting women and feeling that support. Now, seeing the epidemic of angry, hurt, insecure men who have no outlet or support for these feelings, we can't just ignore this. They just shove these feelings down like society tells them to. We need a movement for men, for men's mental health empowerment. If the men around me feel better, safer, can express themselves and really be equal, that …

In the car one time my ex saw a woman slapping her man, ex started laughing but I said should we go back?? That's not cool, he's being hit!! The wheels started turning in our minds, we're old school but no no ladies, keep your hands to yourself! I wish we had gone back. Those massive PR campaigns for whatev, time for one to advocate for the domestic violence against men to stop. So many victims unseen and unheard, judged if they need help. Why can't we see men as humans too?

Hmm why isn't it an option? I realize now and have apologized but have spent months telling my ex to find another woman- due to untreated ADHD he can't work a lot but he's loyal, smart, great with kids...some lonely girl would snatch him up so fast. I do think plenty of men relationship themselves out of being homeless, you see memes around tax time (here in USA) all the time And thank you so much for the kind words!
/r/MensRights09/02/22 12:19 PM

Thank you. I am a very newly single mom to two. It is simply not an option for me to just find a new man to pay for things or help pay. It has never happened for me nor will it as I do not enter relationships lightly nor for financial gain. It is not that simple yet it is loudly and often purported to be.

Again. It's women's fault when men won't parent the kids they make. : )
/r/MensRights05/02/22 06:43 PM

Again, it all falls on women when men don't stick around to raise their kids. Anecdotally I chose a bishop's son who had two good jobs when we met but was a violent alcoholic. Did not choose to get help so yep, doesn't see his kid. It's all my fault, of course.

I work with these old men and in my twenties I worked at a grocery store and dealt with these men. They're spoiled, entitled, and feel they deserve women who meet their standards. All women must meet their standards. They cannot accept that no one cares anymore when they start bleating out laughable opinions.

My lawyer was great but there's only so much one can do with a guy who shows up drunk and belligerent. He was ordered to pay $100 per month child support (his parents faithfully have and I do appreciate that) and $200 per month for the roughly $9000 in debt in my name he racked up. He never paid a dime of that. He did get every other weekend but when I wasn't working (he did not work) baby was with him. This was with a history of domestic violence so that did tinge things some maybe.

You're wasting your time. Hell, I'm a woman who was fucked by my divorce and is now facing ruin by the father of my youngest. It's terrifying. But once these guys know ALL WOMEN take advantage financially of men as a business, that's what they know.

Some women like myself form a pattern around what they were raised with. My mom married a man who became an alcoholic. So what did I do? Married a man who became an alcoholic. There's a pattern in me that finds emotionally damaged men and tries to be strong enough for myself and for them. Always a shit show. And trust me, many many people put partial blame on me when I escaped the abusive alcoholic.

Start with the the officers who refuse to make an arrest. And a big PR campaign aimed at women highlighting that hitting your man is abuse. So many women think it's okay, but even just a smack here or there is abhorrent. Having been a DV victim and knowing several men who were abused and tried to involve the police to get protection and justice- the cops don't care too much unless it's a clear cut case and with a man as the victim? Unless his attacker straight up stabbed him they won't do anythi…

Dude I got fucked financially in my (almost, left state) divorce. I don't blame all men. I'm the provider for my family. According to MGTOW, women like me don't exist. According to MGTOW, all women do is take dicks and money.

MGTOW are fine, it's all great but the vicious ones who condone rape are the ones who scare me. The ones who glorify violence. On the other extreme women who dismiss and hate men as a whole scare me as well.

I can't stop anyone from taking anecdotes and using it as "all women cheat and financially destroy their husbands." It's a losing battle. My divorce wrecked me financially but hey, I must be the one woman who didn't sleep around and take his money.

At my previous job the only way I could be part of the 401k legally was to sign that in the event of my death, my (legally separated) husband would get the money. He has no custody so....nope. Not signing that. I asked the HR manager and she told me that in the old days (and yes, I acknowledge that it was in the past but it's still an example refuting your claim) men who had worked there many years would pass away and having left the 401k to their mistresses, the wives wouldn't get a dime. So many of these comments are just people getting angry over things that either haven't happened or things they can't prove. Like, let's just assume that ALL of the wives of these men in the article cheated on them while the men were working. Jesus Christ. Let's massively upvote that allegation pulled from one's ass and provide the absolute sure fire proof that all women cheat because your buddy's cousin's uncle's barber's wife cheated.
