I think they mean more on an internal level. Find a way to overcome it.

Firstly, sorry that I forgot about this and this did not respond for so long. Secondly, I think instead of your question "Can I ask how do you work to be less self-focused?' the question fits the solution better as "What do I need to replace my self-focus with?". Part of the answer to that, is movement/growth toward being balanced in all things. How do I work on getting there? I pray a lot. I think about God a lot and mankind's relationship with their God, what it's meant to look like, how we re…

As I was reading your post I thought to myself- I love her. For probably these main reasons- I can tell you are being genuine because I have many of these same thoughts, struggles, and fears, and you seem kind and thoughtful, even if a bit self-focused. And please believe me, I am so self focused that it's one of my deepest things I've been working on since I first accepted the realization, maybe a couple of years ago. (I accept the realization more and more as I see it manifested now that my ey…

Everything bad seems to be imitating the good, trying to replicate it. With sin, it's like filling yourself with something. Filling yourself with God and his righteousness is good, but you can sin, and fill yourself with evil, and get a rush, that imitates the rush of knowing God deeper. But since it's not real, it will never be enough, and it's like hell that is always hungry, starving, and never satisfied. It will always keep you chasing more, never understanding the urge and longing that you'…

It's often a symptom of something inside. The reason for having the short hair is sometimes unfeminine. It's not the short hair itself.

What I aspire to be is someone specifically unique to fit my husband's needs and desires. I am moldable, someone exactly fit for him. I can learn eagerly who he is and what he wants and be someone perfectly suited to help him be everything he can be. For prep work for just generally being ready for "a man", not necessarily a specific man, I would say be someone who is eager to please, who can put her guard down, who is willing to let go of her own will and do whatever she can to be the best mate…

I am a woman, and though I recognize that male posters and commenters are prevalent here, I've never felt discluded or like this sub is primarily for men. Men are who typically use the sub and that's fine. It's good to see the different perspectives of godly gender roles and it makes sense that men would be the bulk of this sub. Women have a lot of pride right now and a lot harder of a time submitting to their role (even in the church). In time I think more women will check in on this sub.

There's definitely a balance. I've seen people way over fill them and I think it looks ridiculous. But on very light colored eyebrowed people (such as myself), it looks waaaaaaaaay better to have some color to them.

calling her a liar Was this obnoxiousness necessary, in your mind? That's great that it helped. I think it would've been better if you had addressed her actual reason for posting. What do you think about submissiveness? Does it seem like a good trait for people, and especially women, to possess?
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 07:47 PM

Okay, but the purpose of her post is to get advice on how to be more submissive, and you only seemed to try to correct her thinking about something else. That's not a bad thing, but seems unhelpful to her since you didn't address what she was asking as well.

When someone is talking, give them your full attention and seek to understand what they are saying. When it comes to going places, things to do, etc, be somewhat agreeable when others suggest things. Don't take charge and try to make people do something just because you want to. Also give ideas and feel it out, sometimes it might be a good idea to push something or take charge, but not every time (nor even most times). In general, take a look at your intentions. If they are selfish, don't try to…

Confidence, determination, and strength are not mutually exclusive to submissiveness. A woman can, and should, embody both. She is asking how to be more submissive, and you keep encouraging her yo be confident and tough, which is not constructive feedback to her.
/r/RedPillWomen12/03/19 02:48 PM

Then she isn't putting God first. And if you want to have a good relationship, your woman needs to put God first. Only then will she submit to you.

Especially when women get together or behind closed doors where no one can see. Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and said, I have done no wickedness. That verse came to my mind when I read that. Women are definitely prey to believing if no one sees them, it won't be found out. Especially in a moment of strong temptation. They look for any excuse to give in. By this of course I mean women who are not seeking God, not all women.

She is just telling you what she thinks you want to hear. You said yourself, she's behaving contrary to being a devout God-focused woman. You already know it's a front to get you. She is playing a game, and getting you to fall for her is her end game. Plus, if she can't control her sexual urges now, what makes you think she will when the "courting phase" has ended, and she will need to rely on God in order to love you at times? She won't always be infatuated, you know that. Take my word for it, …

Don't kid yourself, you have control of your actions. It's going to be very tempting for you, since the desire is so strong in you, but you have the choice EVERY TIME to have sex, or not to. You are not controlled by your desires.

I've been considering this lately. How would you say it does? I'm not saying it doesn't, I just don't see how, unless someone has some sort of genetic disease that causes them to hold onto calories as fat storage instead of using them for energy...but even then, how would they be able to do any work without utilizing those calories? If someone has a slow metabolism, they would still burn the same amount of calories needed to do something, so wouldn't they use the calories that have been converte…

My butt got quite a bit bigger from doing lunges. I held 20 lb dumbbells in each hand, and walked around in circles while lunging, until my legs almost gave out. Didn't take too long. I did that only a couple of times a week. I stopped because I began to get purple lines all over my butt which was otherwise nice and round. The stretch marks were a deal-breaker for me.

Similarly, you can gain weight eating nothing but sweet potatoes, spinach, and avocado if you eat enough of it. Avocados are actually high in calories. Just wanted to say that, because while they do contain healthy fats, we need to be careful with them. I have lost weight in the span of six months by calorie counting. She seems to be spoiled and rebellious. As far as you pitying her for being out in the cold, don't. She doesn't have frostbite, she wasn't dying. Some discomfort will do a woman like that some good, and help her to appreciate the times she is fortunate enough to have comfort. That, or she will harden herself more and become bitter.

She’s excited for butt stuff and BJs and everything under the sun. Bjs, fine. Butt stuff and everything under the sun? I'd pray about this one with a fervent heart and open mind. The anus was not designed to have anything put into it, but for waste to come out. Using our bodies in a way that God did not design them for will impact us negatively, and prevent deeper intimacy with God. It's not about limiting yourself, but rather, growing in closeness with out creator. Doing things like that, that …

My husband and I each get $50 a month to spend on our own things. For me, it's specialty coffees, amiibos, and thrifting. For him, it's board games, comics, and video games, usually. We have a joint account where all of our work money is deposited into, and we each have bank cards linked to it. It's my job to discern whether or not I should use my allowance on something, or the debit card. Sometimes it's not so black and white. Synthetic hormones will likely alter her mood, anxiety levels, ability to think clearly, appetite, and many more things that we don't even understand yet. Her sex drive will likely plummet as well since she won't be ovulating anymore. If for some reason she comes out unscathed while taking hormonal birth control, she is a rare breed. The human body has its own balance that God designed it to have, and forcing synthetic hormones into it typically causes women to have issues, and it's no wonder wh…

The hormonal IUDs cause the hormone levels in a woman to become abnormal so that they do not ovulate. The uterine lining becomes thicker, so even if for some reason she was ovulating, the live sperm likely couldn't get past the thicker barrier. The non hormonal, or copper IUD works because copper is toxic to sperm. They have studied the sperm under a microscope after being exposed to copper ions and several of the sperm were detached from the head and tails, and many just died. As far as I am aw…

I will answer this question as I personally believe. How do you know when to call it quits? When the covenant of marriage has been broken by cheating. Everything else I would stay with him and try to be the best I could be **for him. I can't depend on him for my joy or inner peace, that would be unfair of me. If I left him when things were hard between us, it wouldn't make me any happier, though my emotions and feelings would certainly be trying to deceive me in telling me I would be. The flesh …

I wish you wouldn't capitalize "Him" when referring to the other guy. It seems like you're talking about God or something. To trim fat, counting calories and staying around 1200 a day will cause weightloss. To sculpt your body, depending on what you want (a rounder, shapely tush, perkier breasts, stronger looking legs, etc) there are different workouts you can so that cater to your specific wants. You can do research for that and watch YouTube videos for specifics. What I do specifically- I ate 1200 calories a day for about four months and got rid of my gut. I wanted to give you some anecdotal evidence that might surprise you. I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread yet. A few months ago, I started wearing a bun on top of my head like this. It was so easy and fast to do, and I thought it looked stylish, so I wore my hair like this on average five times a week. I started noticing I was losing clumps of hair in the shower and when I brushed it, and that never used to happen. Despite taking biotin, the hair kept coming out. I looked in…

I don't want to put anything in your head, but if you start having any issues on the copper IUD, it could be that the copper is throwing your body's natural metals off balance. I was starting to get weird on it until I started taking zinc.

Doctors always claim the hormones are "localized" with IUDs and thus won't cause you the same kinds of problems as the other forms, but I can tell you from personal experience and reading loads of other testimonies from the r/birthcontrol sub, that's a load of BS.

The thing is, my husband is a rarity too. I thank God for him everyday, because as far as I'm concerned he's been the biggest blessing I've ever received and there's no way I deserve him. He is patient with me and loving, and takes care of me more than I do him. He is also moody and stubborn, and is a challenge to me in many ways, which only adds to the blessing, since it gives me many opportunities for growth and when I do please him or get through to him, it's so much more rewarding. This is how I was. I studied the bible and decided to seek the strength and wisdom to be a submissive wife before I'd ever even heard of red pill. Coincidentally, I loved the movie the Matrix and saw it as being a biblical and spiritual metaphor of people needing to wake up to the reality of God in our world. I had no idea that was the original usage of the quote. In the RPW sub, it is often used as a way to say that women cannot help who they have and do not have desire for. This sub is so much farther than redpill, they say it's a tool and used for sexual strategy and while it can be that, they seem to be missing the Designer of it all. I submit to my husband to be alignment with the will of God, they submit to improve their relationships. It's bigger than what they care to admit. I guess what I'm …

you can't negotiate desire This is a key element in red pill ideology and one that I don't agree with. Are we to be slaves to our desire, or any other emotion for that matter? Biblically, we learn that it is possible through the power of Christ to overcome our flesh nature and rule over ourselves. Eventually, by acting on wisdom and not our emotions, and replacing the lies in us with God's word, we can control our emotions, a concept the world will never understand. I am very frugal, so I looked into much cheaper alternatives than getting whitening solution from the dentist. Since I used to use the dentist whitening kits though, I have some teeth molds that were made when I was in high school, and even though I'm almost 30, they still fit my teeth. So I get two different whitening gels from the dollar store, one that you are supposed to twist the bottom to push more out onto the brush and kind of paint your teeth with, and one that is a bigger tube that com…

Knowing he would never forgive himself, I faked forgiveness before I felt it I'm a huge proponent of forgiveness being a choice and decision one makes, same as love. These are not feelings that are dependent on any part of our bodies or emotions but solid choices our wills decide on. So even if you have feelings of anger in you, you can still forgive him. Keep acting on the decision of forgiveness and not your anger emotion and eventually the anger will be overcome.

So, I don't know how motivating this will be to you, but it sure is for me- when I floss at night, especially those back top and bottom molars, even if I flossed not 24 hours prior, the gunk that comes out and on the floss stick reeks. It's so gross, and it's always such a relief to have gotten it out. Smell that a few times and it's sure to motivate anyone who wants to be healthy and take care of their body to floss regularly. Yes. This is big. We need to be reaching higher. I just want to reiterate a few ideas about this that I have come to realize. Jesus died to bridge the gap between mankind and God, to be the mediator, and to pour out the abundance of the Holy Spirit- he died to rise again. I'm going to paraphrase this but it makes me think of the parable Jesus told about casting out a demon, only for it to return with its friends to a nice, tidy, empty house. I haven't read the comments so I'm not sure if someone said this or not, but we should always be prayerful and wise, especially when reflecting the love of God to those around us. Essentially being as open in the spirit ad we can be, seeking God and allowing him to speak and act through us, being one with his will. Praying always, ministering to each person in the wisest way, that will be the most effective for that person. It will not be the same way with every person, and seeing God's wisdom w…

I would posit that men pursue women because of sex and I believe that it would be irrational for any castrated man or enuch to marry a woman in the west There is so much I want to say on this. But, I'll just say this. A help meet was created for man to do far more than just have sex with him. That is just one of the ways their love manifests itself. Yes, this needs to sink in the church. Logic/wisdom>feelings. Our culture puts waaay too much emphasis on feelings and the church has likewise adopted this mush. At my women's small group, it's all over our reading materials and in the videos we watch. I want to warn them of how unbeneficial this is, but I'm not sure the time is right yet. I'm trying to be more subtle so they don't feel defensive, and then identify with those feelings and subsequently act in them by putting up a wall.

For skincare I would highly recommend rosehip seed oil. Jojaba is good too, and less expensive, but rosehip helps my acne, it's hydrating, brightens my skin, it's my absolute favorite product for my face. For makeup, I don't wear mascara but I love blush. It really livens up my face. Hair I'm a bit lazy. I typically just do a high bun because I'm running late most mornings and it takes less than a minute to do. Braids are also fast, easy, and stylish.

I definitely see your perspective as being valid. God does forgive, but that doesn't mean that all consequences of our sins are absolved. If I stole merchandise from a store, then apologized to them and they forgave me, they would still be short their merchandise and thus a profit. If a homosexual man contracted aids, then later came to Christ, repented, and stopped indulging in those desires, he still has to deal with having his flesh corrupted by aids, though I do believe his spirit is cleanse…

I don't understand what exactly you're basing your accusation on. I do. Emotions. There is no logic or wisdom with this person, at least in this situation. Oh, and this is coming from a woman's perspective. I'm not worried at all that you're going to assume all women are foolish based on that person's comments, if I actually care to see what this sub actually thinks, I won't process through my emotions. It seems to me that you are indignant that other people make a vow and are allowed to break it anytime they want. It destroys the institution in your mind. Sounds like you have many expectations for your friend, you idolize her but do you really know her? You spend long periods apart, and you dwell on "who she is" or rather, who you desire her to be. You may have made up some fantasy in you own mind and even if you were to marry her, I think she'd let you down, and you'd feel lost. It's not fair to her, and it isn't wise for yourself. You seem very emotionally driven in this whole scenario.

Feelings are a lot more difficult to control than actions. We have the ability to control if we act on our feelings or not though, and the more we choose to act on wisdom despite what we are feeling, the more we gain control over our feelings. Don't feel bad about having irrational urges, emotions, or feelings. Listen to them, acknowledge them, but do what you have found to be good, no matter what they say. Feeling something isn't necessarily a cause for guilt, even if it's unreasonable.

That's kind of what I thought was actually going on. Not that it was actually too heavy, but that she just didn't like to do it and maybe hid behind the weight excuse. I know I've caught myself doing things like that before. When she explained about it being a metal can that has to carried down the driveway (as opposed to the wheeled ones), and that she doesn't put it all on him, that makes sense now.

For a woman to be trained by her husband, she first has to submit to the concept of being trained. First and foremost I had to see and know that it was God's design that I become the woman specifically tailored for my husband. Then I sought his "training", by looking for ways to incorporate what he wanted and needed me to be for him. I don't think a husband can force this, I believe submission is a choice that must be made, otherwise it will not be genuine.

Of course. And maybe it isn't critique that he's looking for at times, but more your understanding and validation. An approach I try to take with most people, is to first acknowledge what I agree and then add to it, that way it doesn't feel negative, but more like a positive conversation. Coming to conclusions and figuring things out together, and growing together, is a great way to bond with people.

There's more options than being dishonest or a doormat. Those are two opposite extremes and you don't seem to realize the balance here. Also, other people being weak or rude is not a reason for us to break our integrity. We shouldn't base our decisions on how other people are, but on wisdom. Your advice is fear-based and weak.

They arent mutually exclusive though, and according to the Bible, if a woman seeks to serve God she will be seeking to serve her husband. In fact I would argue that only a godly woman who is submitted to God first and foremost will be a truly good and loving wife.

That is how a woman lives for God- by adhering to the design he has for her (serving her husband). Alll of those have their own spheres of authority. A husband's is the most, and most personal. A boss has no authority over knowing something about your past lovers, I believe a husband does. I agree with you that no matter what the authority, you are still accountable if you submit to something that is immoral or would be unjust to another. Sometimes the truth serves as an eye opener, sometimes it hardens. Depends on how receptive the person is. I don't think it would help her to try to dominate her by forcing her to acknowledge her faults, I think she'd do better by seeing the fault in another and slowly realizing that she mirrors it to some degree. All due respect, from the very first passages of genesis God clearly reveals that marriage is about joining a man to his wife because it was not good for man to be alone, and he needed a help meet. I know that it was removed because of the editing issues. I think because of the stigma surrounding the word "religion" and how many people define it or see it versus how I do, I wanted to clarify. I don't mean to be argumentative. Thanks for letting me know. I suppose I did view this sub as inherently Christian.

I've edited the comment. Also that doesn't seem right to me. I'm not basing my advice on a religion, I'm sharing a decision I make that has helped me.

In regards to the Facebook reactions, are they emogees, or likes? What are the pictures like, her all made up in a selfie, or her with her SO, or her dog, or something like that? Just because it's a two way street doesn't make the woman not a slut. The guy was a man slut for soliciting a woman's pic who he wasn't committed to and she was a slut for sending it. Slut does not imply that only the woman was in the wrong. That's just the side we are analyzing at this time. I totally agree that the guy was being a slut too that's just not who were discussing here is this scenario. (Sorry I said "we", I totally just jumped into this convo)
