1	Women don't want equal rights, they want to be able to do less then what is required and collect the same as men in the military. I respect that your military background gives you some insight into the matter that a civilian like me would lack. It's true that, in general, women are physically weaker than men (especially in terms of upper body strength), and it WOULD make the battlefield more dangerous to have soldiers who could not handle the work and do what is needed. 1	So basically every argument against Legal Paternal Surrender can be transposed as an argument against abortion rights. I wonder if the irony is lost on feminists... I used to make the parallel to abortion rights as well. I have recently come to the opinion that a better corollary is the mother's unilateral right to give the child up for adoption, after birth. 1	A consideration on NAFALT. You are absolutely spot on that there are nearly as many definitions of feminism as there are people using the word. I tried to point to that with the parenthetical in the first sentence of my last post, I apologize if I should have been clearer. While internally consistent, I do sense one problem with this approach: that is, you are setting out to define a word that already has accepted definitions (or at least, everyone who uses the word has a definition they feel strongly about). If you could convince the other party to adopt your definitions, then those words work just fine. Since the majority of medical attention and research has focused on women, [EDIT: Since the DSM criteria are more aligned with the female presentation of depression] the "classical" definition fails to address the signs in males, leading to massive underdiagnosis. 7	The legitimacy of many points made in this subreddit is without question in my mind, but I do have a few questions? 1) The "priority" should be given to shared custody, wherever both parents are fit and responsible and want to be involved in the child's life. 2	Controversial Claim. Still true if you replace "racist" with "misogynist". I agree with you on everything except the smoking thing. Each establishment should be able to determine by its own standards whether it is better to allow smoking or not allow it, free of government interference. There will certainly still be no shortage of places you could go that would be smoke free, while still allowing smokers to have their own establishments. Lots of people are really awful in the world, but very few people really are as bad as the Nazis. 2	Just read this on the front page of my school's newspaper. How true are these statistics? I think there is a bit of a disconnect about what a sexual assault is thought of on campus vs. how one is thought about off of campus. On campus, they are eager to regard any incident in which the girl has been drinking as a sexual assault (and to be fair, there are douchebags out there on most campuses that get women drunk in order to sleep with them). 1	Why do you care so much about circumcision? Trivializing the suffering of others is a poor argument technique. There are many cases of boys either losing significantly more tissue or their lives to infections or other complications.
