I’m in my 40s. I look and present younger. I haven’t been on the apps in a long time, but I assume dating younger women is easier irl without the age filters. My last few partners I met ranged from late 20s - mid 30s. You shouldn’t have that problem with age filters though. You’re still in your 20s. It’s fine. I gotta tell you, you’ve been posting “I wasted my life” for like 2 years. Best time to change your life up was more than 2 years ago. Second best time is today. Respectfully, stop whining…

Are you, as an average-looking guy, going after average-looking women? Be honest.

Don’t fucking lie to get a potential partner back to your place. What the actual fuck. Its wrong, its threatening, it’s dangerous for both of you, and it wouldn’t even work even of the above points weren’t true

I’ve found that most women prefer men who can spell and edit their text before sending. Maybe start there.

How much do you talk to them before meeting up?

Yeah, I think this is good tbh. Wasn’t a match, but it kinda sounds like she thought you were a good guy and was trying to be into it Take it as a win. If she actually thinks you’re dope, she might intro you to her friends.

Yeah I wonder what happened in the last year to make young women shut down emotionally and give up on relationships with men.

Women like short muscular men more than short fat men or short scrawny men.

I’m in my 40s. In general, my advice is to go out with the intention of first making someone’s day a little better with a joke or quip about the situation you’re both in — standing in line, figuring out what to order, watching the same game at a bar, etc. — it’s not not an approach to picking up girls, it’s an approach to life. If you do succeed in making someone smile or chuckle, assess whether they might want to continue to riff with you. If so, go for it. If not, don’t. Age doesn’t matter.

Honestly… if you’re not super hot yourself, just go for girls who are hot but flawed. It’s like a thrift store find!

Want the actual fuckboi answer? Act like you’re looking for a girlfriend, then stop courtship before it becomes a relationship and just keep hanging out. Helps to do this with multiple people at once, and chain them so you’re starting one while another is starting to get sick of your shit. Not suggesting, but that’s the playbook.

Not ice cold. But I’ll talk to women in social settings if it happens somewhat organically, and I’ll shoot my shot if the vibes are right. It helps to think of it as me testing them as much as they’re testing me.

Enjoy the process. Make your goal to give people a good time, not take from them. Imagine that you say something funny or insightful to a stranger and it makes their night. Have a couple stupid jokes in the chamber. Smile sometimes even if you don’t want to. It’ll make you feel good, and people will notice unconsciously. Just don’t be a weird joker creeper about it Good pickup line for today in the US, if you end up next to a woman. Say “so, shit’s fucking crazy right?” If she asks what you mean…

I’ll be generous here. Practice targeting women who have self-selected to be engaged. Dating sites, or singles meet ups. At least part of the reason you’re being rejected is that your advances are unwanted. Going to dating-specific pools will at least weed out women who would reject anyone (not just you)

My advice is to use weeknights for low key casual / fwb / Netflix and chill. Then weekends to date seriously. Not everyone needs a “date” to want to hang out

Is it that you’re tired or you work evenings?
/r/seduction25/09/24 04:46 PM

I think your bigger problem is availability to date at all if you can’t do anything during the week. Going two weeks between seeing someone isn’t sustainable even for just one person. A romantic prospect will think you’re not making time for her, and a fwb won’t be often be down to schedule a sex appointment that far out

Terrible analysis. former rocket scientist indeed. There are plenty of stupid guys home alone that you don’t see. Being dumb doesn’t help you get women.

Honestly, wait til you’re 21 and then the sky is the limit. Women would feel creepy if you can’t accompany her to a bar (in the USA) If you’re elsewhere, ignore my advice because I don’t have enough info on it.

I’m in Seattle and do great. Sounds like a skill issue. Seattle women were early adopters of dating apps and they’re sick of it in general — they’re dying to be approached with skill in bars or events. Not trying to be a dick here, but you can’t work the same game in every city, fail, and then blame the city. Adjust your approach. The fact that you’ve been kicked out of a mall twice for approaching dozens of girls means you’re not getting it. It’s hard to believe your line akin to “you’re pretty…

You could start talking to her about her privilege and ask her if she’s run all of her opinions by people with less privilege than her.

I pretty exclusively date women who identify as feminists. I identify that way too, to an extent, but I follow what they claim (equality) rather than what many of them actually believe (revenge) The key is to ask her questions. I go into “seeking to understand” mode, where I try to figure out what the logical conclusion is (if it exists) and maybe I learn something, or establish that she’s just whining. If she says “the patriarchy” is responsible for (bad thing), ask her to describe what a non-p…

Was this a first date / meeting with her? If so, this it crazy behavior. I don’t mind if women have a safety net when going out, because dudes are scary. A friend on standby with instructions to call 20 mins in? Sure. Give the bartender a heads up you’re on a first date and nervous. Fine. Or even a friend in the same bar watching—a little paranoid, but alright. But if this was a safety thing for her, you dodged a bullet.

So on the one hand, yeah, it’s pay to win. But on the other, why shouldn’t it be? Is Tinder a public utility that we’re entitled to? When I was on tinder, I paid for it, and I absolutely got value for my money. Waaaay cheaper than going out drinking and hoping to meet a match IRL
/r/seduction07/06/22 03:17 PM

The only thing I’d take out is “understandable”. Makes it seem like you think not being seen as a potential mate was an expected outcome. If anything, change to “I understand” or just leave it as gotcha. But either way you’ll never talk to her again so who cares? Keep on rolling dude.

If you think “witty banter” is a chore you need to perform, and you claim that you’re putting forth boring conversations, it might make sense why you’re not having success. Not saying that to be a dick, but if the initial part of dating seems like work to you rather than a process you enjoy, she will feel objectified—like you’re going through the motions just to fuck her (whether it’s true or not).
/r/seduction08/05/22 10:10 PM

Work’s done, brother. Ask her to get a drink. Or like, a protein shake or whatever.

I think the bullshit around “masculinity so fragile” is really toxic. No one asks why it might be fragile, and who might be contributing to it. If you’re no longer seen as masculine, you’re often no longer seen as worthy of love (or anything else). That’s terrifying.
/r/seduction13/04/22 06:19 PM

There can strength in vulnerability, and weakness in vulnerability. Depends on who you are. If you can frame yourself as a “even if I expose a weakness, I am not afraid of being truly hurt” that is strength and women tend to find it hot. Otherwise, you’re just weak, and maybe even using that weakness to manipulate someone into feeling sorry for you. It’s the difference between admitting you lost vs being a loser, if that makes sense.

Guys it’s simple: if you want to make money in the stock market, buy low and sell high! Get used to it, fellas! This advice isn’t wrong, but pretty low value. And, sorry to be kind of a Dick here, based on your posting history, you’re not in any position to be giving advice on dating at all. Good news is, you can learn and get better! Maybe you’ve had a recent success and think you’re king shit of fuck mountain, but don’t let it go to your head. Maybe something clicked, or it could just be varia…

Cool. And yeah I agree on the dealbreaker point, see my comment below. I generally don't put my height on my profile, but I have full body pics and I'm honest if they ask the number.

Ehhh I don't like those... teasing women works when it's playful, those come off as try-hard and insecure. Maybe your delivery could pull it off, but it wouldn't be my style. Also, having sex with a woman who is 4 inches taller than you actually is different than one who is the same height or 4 inches shorter. If you say that last line, she might think you don't actually have experience with it. If you want to make it sexual, maybe say something like "yeah, I've had to go up on a few women in my…

I’ve dated quite a few taller women. I think most of them prefer taller guys, all things being equal, but it’s not a dealbreaker. What IS a dealbreaker for them is a guy who is insecure about his height. She needs to know you’re not going to be an asshole about her wearing heels, or start fights with people about comments, etc. I would have skipped the self-deprecating comment about heels until she brought it up, but it’s a decent line. Here are some of my go-tos for taller women who say bring i…

Based on the cover of the book it looks like this is just a rehash/sub-set of the Mate book? Not sure though.

Well first of all, there’s nothing inherently wrong with getting attached quickly. When things are right, and mutual, why arbitrarily hold yourself back? Sounds like people worried about being attached to someone who isn’t reciprocating the feelings, or is also trying not to get too attached. In the latter case (feels mutual but she’s holding back), having the balls to be open with your feelings is a power move. There is lots of strength in vulnerability, and she’ll respect that. If she doesn’t,…

So what's the point in saying it? I'll believe you about not having anything against transgender people, but you used it as an easy joke for your vid. Don't punch down--you're better than that.

Not sure I agree. It kinda depends on how far out the date is, and what the initial connection is like. Here's how I'd break it down in general: Strong banter/connection + near date (within 1 day or so) = stop texting with some sort of playful "to be continued" Strong banter/connection + far away date = keep texting to maintain energy when you have something fun/interesting to say Weak banter/connection + near date (within 1 day or so) = stop texting Weak bannter/connection + far away date = thi…

Start with these two beliefs: I'm worthy of dating this person, but she doesn't owe me anything I'll be ok if things don't work out with her The best part is--they're true! You got the date, which is the hard part. Just keep doing what you've been doing (recently).

There's that old cliche about how lawyers never ask a question they don't already know the answer to. Similarly, you should have a story queued up for each of the questions you ask her--she'll inevitably ask "what about you?" after she answers. This isn't the most natural way to go about interacting with people, but it's good practice. Also remember the Improv rules "yes, and..." / "not only that, but..."

Thanks for that respect. So, I should clarify. This generally works best if: you're in a very public place you've established a bit of teasing/rapport via messaging in the app or texting you're a confident, genuinely good person and don't believe the things you're saying The attitude you want to convey is that you understand how shitty and scary online dating is for women. And you know what--it fucking is! This sort of thing pairs you up super fast because then it becomes you and her vs shitty p…

There's a good book on negotiation called Never Split the Difference. One of the things he talks about to make someone comfortable is the concept of "label their fear". Say something bold, like it's an inside joke between you, like "I promise to try really, really hard not to murder you this evening" with a smirk, or "thanks letting me buy you that drink, now you're obligated to have sexual intercourse with me. What a sweet deal!" It breaks the tension because she knows you understand and empath…
