I would agree that the debate over this event is full of disingenuous false associations, such as that a strange man alone with a woman is automatically a potential rapist and/or sexual predator. but I think that ignoring or discounting that what actually happened was basically a proposition for sex is as egregious a fallacy as assuming that a proposition for sex is somehow predatory. This is also supported by the 'I find you fascinating'. 'Please don't take this the wrong way' is one of those funny phrases like 'no offense' or, as other commentators have said 'I'm not racist but...' It's an escape clause.
