I'm going to be the blacksheep here and say that I don't really like it. It sometimes feels emasculating when women in the office call you "baby boy," "munchikin," or any other term that would imply you are a kid.

Guys aren’t unattractive because they lack confidence. They lack confidence because they’re unattractive in some ways and haven’t been externally validated by women This. This right here...

You just linked to two studies that show the majority of young men aren't sexless. They may not be sexless, but that doesn't mean they're getting as much sex as they want to. Or even as much as previous generations did. Here's a quote from the first study; Not only are more young men single [~60% compared to ~30% of women] but their opportunities for developing a relational and sexual repertoire have all but vanished, as levels of sexual intimacy across genders appear to have hit a 30-year low. …

Really? Explain to me why then the Red Pill has become mainstream? A community whose primary lure seems to be, "We'll get you laid, if you follow us." & that's before I even involve the academic studies [1]] [2]] that say many young men are not participating in the horizontal dance for 2.

I think that when folks talk about the sex recession, they are comparing it across generations (At least that's what I've gathered when I listen to Jean Twenge). The data from the 1990s to the 2020s starts with the coming of age of Gen X and even then, stats seem to show that they were more sexually active than millenials and Zs. Both in as far as number of partners and "initiation" age is concerned. Yet even Xers didn't match the boomers (or even the silent generation by some metrics.) This see…

This is a direct quote from the link you've posted; We shouldn’t declare the sex recession over based on just a single year of data—especially a single year that relied on new survey methods—and a fairly small sub-sample of 229 respondents. My theory is that we probably had a lot of "revenge dating" when the quarantine period ended. People were so eager to finally exercise with their freedom once again. It's still too early to know whether things are finally moving the other way or it was just a…

Just regular dude with a job, hobbies, friends, a nice smile, and kind eyes. Most men fit in that. The self-deception that goes in this sub is wild. If most men fit this description why are we in the middle of a sex recession/intimacy famine?

It's wild to me that you guys are boldly admitting to being (or wanting to be) cheaters. I don't think I've said such a thing. I'm simply describing what possible avenues the future may go based on testimony and observation. My comment on why polygamy/playing the field is a bad idea is at the top of this thread....

This is the problem a lot of people specifically women have, they can't wrap their heads around the idea of a man having sex with women but still choosing to stay with his wife or gf Ding! Ding! Ding! According to many scholars, the adult human female, hereafter referred to as "lady," is usually unable to separate sex from love/attachment. And yes, there are exceptions so you don't need to come telling me about how you just enjoy draining that poor loser's balls before kicking him to the curb, V…

When your HV as a man, there's not a lot of you for her to replace, simple Exactly! And this is where the problem lies. Think about it for a minute. She feels bad that you were unfaithful and that she's still not enougb for you but she cannot find a better alternative. Her best option is to fight to keep you. This may mean taking an active approach to cock block you by intimidating other women who come next you, sabotaging things around you that make it difficult to meet with other women or even…

I'm from Zambia. Our laws on polygamy here are fuzzy, and there isn't strict legal prohibition of the practice. Having observed a few polyagamous marriages, especially in the very rural areas, let me drop my 2 cents. 2 things that you may want to consider; Your life might become a lot more chaotic. My own (deeply unscientific) observations support the claim that most women would like to have the best possible man around, even if they have to share him. However, a lot still become jealous and unh…

IIRC, there was an interview Helen Fisher conducted with a polygamous man (I believe he should have been a wealthy Arab, but don't quote me on that one.) When asked how many wives he'd like if he were to start over, his reply was 0. He said it would be nice to finally have some peace and tranquility instead of being caught in the cross-fire of the dirty wars his wives will wage in order to become "his first choice." Perhaps not enough to convince you, but just something to think about.

It's normal for teenage boys to be slightly consumed by the thought of sex, it's not normal for an adult man to be fixated on sex above all else Hungry people will constantly think about food. If there is any truth to the reports that more young men are staying virgins longer than they would want to, then you may understand the obsessive fixation...

Is every guy that you have ever seen that has a girlfriend or wife muscular? No. They aren't, but I do notice that they either have other things going for them or they're with women that just don't care that much about physical fitness. However, getting fit does count as improvement which is why I added it. It’s not that difficult to learn how to talk to women and to develop some confidence. Learning to talk to women? Maybe. Confidence? I'm still a little skeptical. I think confidence comes from…

I am not saying that this is what should happen. I'm saying that is what is happening, disgusting and deplorable as it may be. Therefore this; Only one reason for that. It will never happen. is not completely true because some men do have a change of heart or, cynical as it may sound, circumstances. Yet, can the same be said of a woman who views a man as nothing more than a friend?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 06:06 AM

I don't think it's always that simple. Sometimes a guy just wants to play the field, sowing wild oats before they have a change of heart. If and when that happens, there have been many instances in which men begin to fall for the women they originally saw as just sexual partners. More so if there is a child involved. While I know that this may not have the rigour of academia backing it, it is actually a common warning to men in rap music. Exhibit A, B, C.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 03:59 PM

Women are very attracted to younger men. This is just not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/23 06:50 AM

The fact that it's more common for men to be with much younger women than women with much younger men proves that there's much more stigma in women being with younger men. In my experience, most of this shaming comes from women. Most men really don't care about the age difference between 2 people unless it starts to venture into extreme territory (e.g. woman being 15+ years older). It's the women who want someone that is "at their level," or will shame other older women that pursue younger guys.

Women from 3rd world countries aren't strong!?!? I'll have you know that many women in my home country wake up at 4/5 AM in the morning, walk 3-4 miles to fetch water, come back with 7 to 10 liters of water balanced on their heads, start a fire on firewood thanks to intermittent power outages and begin cooking right before they go to work. Many women do this every single day and you are going to come here and tell us that they are weak? Western women may indeed be more independent and empowered,…

This. One professor actually remarked that romance writers are possibly one of the most brilliant humans on the planet. They keep using the same formula and yet still make a killing. The men are always tall, muscular, confident, unblushing, sometimes arrogant conversationalists in high-status/high-risk jobs. Not all are "bad boys" but it's easier for a bad boy to fit that profile.

I live a poor country where having your own car is more or less a status symbol. Over here, it is pretty much accepted that if you can't at least afford your own car as a man, you will struggle. A lot of young women don't even hide the fact that they are simply looking for a passport out of poverty. Women that are already financially stable go for guys that can excite them.
