1	How to learn to dance I'd have to disagree with the time. It took me 6 weeks to learn basics and i was only going to class once a week with practice in between. If you want it bad, youre gonna practice. At the end of just those 6 i had enough dancing prowess to maintain composure and confidence on the dance floor. (needless to say im still taking classes now because i want to learn tosses and whips) I will agree with salsa though, it too, is another great style to learn. 2	How to learn to dance Learn how to swing dance. The basic moves are easy and can be flashy with out learning any lift or throws. Swing is all about the style. Its also shows confidence when uou can lead the girls properly through the moves, even if they are simplistic by nature. Also, swing can be applied to many various music styles. All you need to learn from other styles is the basic step, in which you can work into any swing link set. Know a salsa basic? 6	how to keep a girl interested? One tip i find useful is to change the enviornment. Ask her to go somewhere else with you. Everytime i did this, it opens me up for more questions and comments as well as keeps things new for her. When things feel stale, thats a sign to change the venue for a bit, even if its to return to a previous spot. While moving point out a few details of the area, show what you know. 1	Long time lurker, Posted a few but lets dance!! I could not agree more with what you said, thanks for the elaborartion. There is definately more to the leader/follower thing. And its right to say that as you get more skilled as a dancer the lines are blurred between the two while becoming more equal for both dancers. I say this for personal experience, I had one night at a swing dance party and I got to know like 6 girls that night. Afterward I felt pretty good.
