Update: Interviewed my Feminist professor about Feminism, the MRM and gender equality.Great stuff, it sounds like you really stuck to your guns. I'd love to hear the article especially as a former Humber alumni. | /r/MensRights | 24/03/14 11:46 PM
So, november is coming up. Let's not forget about the Movember movement, the equivalent to the pink ribbons, focusing on raising awareness and collecting money for men's health issues and testicular cancer.I too will have my moustache hairs policed. Though my regs say I have a month which is perfect for me to get away with growing a shitty stache. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/13 02:45 AM
Dear MRAIf you took the time to read the rest of my comments, other than with the ignorant fucks like yourself, I didn't start any sort of flame war. Learn to read. My mind was changed by the actual constructive comments made in this thread, I've said that at least 3 times now. Its really nice of to choose exactly which comment you want to reply too, the common ground with the people that like to accuse people of trolling are that they are trolls themselves. Looking for a reaction, which is what a troll… | /r/MensRights | 05/10/13 12:01 PM
Dear MRAWell. I'm definitely not a troll. I was asking a serious question, trying to sort some conflicting ideas out, which I did. Like I said I lurked a lot before, and the sidebar info was only helpful to an extent. There has to be a better way to deal with the actual trolls and the real people asking questions than to just hop out and accuse them without investigating further a bit, or at least reading their comment replies before accusing them of anything. | /r/MensRights | 04/10/13 02:21 AM
Dear MRAThank you! finally an answer on this! Well if I may attempt to defend myself here. I'm definitely do not fall into the first three categories. If I fell into the third category at all that was not my intention. I do not think they should work together I think they should be mutually exclusive, while still sharing some ideas that support things more toward how a human being should be treated, not necessarily gender. It seems to me that I have put myself in the fourth and fifth categories unintent… | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 08:32 PM
Dear MRAI'm just going to assume that you have no point here and that your ignorant and unintelligent since you can't seem to answer a simple question without sounding like a parrot. I really hope you can learn to deal with your apparent anger problem in a healthy way. I'll just stop responding now. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 08:18 PM
Dear MRAI'd put you in that same category. Accusing me of something when I know my own intention. I'm not trying to create anything. I came here to ask a question and get some answers, which from other members I received excellent ones. All you've done is cry about how I'm a concern troll without providing a single example. If anything I'd say your the troll. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 07:56 PM
Dear MRAI'm really not quite sure what exactly defines a concern troll post or what one really is since no one seems to want to define it or give me an example of how exactly I'm a troll. I'm asking a question that I was confused about. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 07:07 PM
Dear MRAUsually when something ends in a question mark it denotes a question. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:57 PM
Dear MRAYour either psychic or you've been here a longgg time. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:45 PM
Dear MRAAbsolutely do not. I enjoyed your comment. One of the ones that actually helped clarify things for me. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:43 PM
Dear MRAHow exactly does this question belong on there? | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:20 PM
Dear MRAI haven't because the response would be the same. I took this subreddit as a far more intelligent place to ask questions. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:19 PM
Dear MRASo very specific. Do we start down this road of circular logic, or are you going to give any sort of reasons why you think I'm a troll. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:15 PM
Dear MRAThat's where my confusion came from. I was equating women and feminism as one and the same. I hadn't been able to separate the two in my head at the time. Which lead me to see it as blaming women. My thoughts had gotten a bit jumbled on the subject. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:14 PM
Dear MRAI didn't know this subreddit belonged to you. I meant welcome to the discussion in this thread. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:12 PM
Dear MRAI can definitely agree with everything you just said. After some more comments and thought on the subject I've been able to clarify what I was confused about. I'm not trying to dismiss any of the anger anyone has about feminism or their experiences as I get equally angry. I just feel as though sometimes that anger takes a step towards turning us more like the feminist movement and that which we are fighting against. Again I just want to clarify since a lot of people seem to think I'm a troll or … | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 06:11 PM
Dear MRAAh yes, I'm sure your redheaded friend would have used those same words. How exactly did I undermine the MRM? | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 03:11 AM
Dear MRAI actually laughed out loud at the beginning of your reply. Thank you, this is what I came looking for. I had some good reflection with the comments I read and my own thoughts through out the day. I feel as though the MRM needs to start evolving past being viewed as a bunch of angry men by the media, and that the anger needs to be more constructive. What's going to happen when we get new supporters and they find this subreddit and see some the form this sort of anger takes. Again thank you for t… | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 02:54 AM
| -2 | Dear MRAYour attitude is identical. Someone challenges your ideologies and you tell them they should jump off a cliff and that they're trying to destroy the movement. I am not trying destroy anything. I'm wanting clarification on where the movement is headed, and to discuss changes to the negative attitude and vibe this subreddit can give off sometimes. enjoy becoming that which you hate my friend. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 02:19 AM |
Dear MRAI didn't know wanting to discuss the MRM and asking for clarification on idealogies made me a concern troll. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:55 AM
Dear MRAI do believe you are correct, the line is not always an obvious one, hence the post. Starting to get a bit lost of the noise of the angry people that can come here. I'm not saying to focus on ourselves at all. i'm suggesting perhaps focusing on what drives the feminist movement at its heart now, and attack and disassemble the current belief system with a different approach? | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:54 AM
Dear MRAA comment directed at what I was asking and not focusing on the fact I posted this from my phone would have been better. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:52 AM
Dear MRAI'm not suggesting happy-go lucky here. I'm suggesting a more intelligent and thought out approach to things. I love whats been happening at UofT and I really hope that's the direction the MRM is going. It's clever, addresses the issues in a not crazy person way, while still showing the angry feminists for what they really are. I just feel the anger needs to be more focused and less generalized. Maybe a clearer message? | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:51 AM
Dear MRAThank you for actually giving an answer I was looking for. I just got the overall impression was targeting not just the loud mouth extremists in a very angry way. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:49 AM
Dear MRAHence why I am asking for a clarification. I am an avid supporter of the MRM. I'd just felt a bit disillusioned with things the way the negativity oozes from this subreddit. It makes proving points to people difficult, and makes a lot of sound like immature babies the way a lot of people rant and rave about things. I just feel there is a more effective way of getting our message across on our own without needing to piggyback off of angry feminists. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:48 AM
Dear MRAPerhaps we start our own sort of propaganda campaign? The videos of feminist reaction are excellent at portraying what people who support the movement deal with. Again, this post came of discussing it with a friend and there were holes in some justifications. I'm all for force and shock and awe, but I feel with the people we are up against a subtler mind-fucking is in order. Using some of their own tactics against them while still behaving in a way that doesn't portray us as home they claim we a… | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:44 AM
Dear MRAThank you for a very intelligent reply, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this response. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:42 AM
| -3 | Dear MRAAh yes. Another intelligent welcoming member of the community to come discuss something to clarify things for someone who agrees with the movement. Welcome! | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:40 AM |
| -2 | Dear MRAYou sound like a carbon copy of that woman. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 01:39 AM |
Dear MRAI just feel as though everything I have read recently has lacked anything positive. I am completely in line with responding to hypocrisy and educating people on our movement, but of late I felt that it has become more aggressive and less constructive. Hence why I made this post. Should we not be focusing our anger into more constructive education programs than sitting "complaining" ( I use that in quotations as I cannot think of a better word at this moment). Should we not be focusing on campaig… | /r/MensRights | 02/10/13 08:45 PM
Thoughts on paying for dates?I prefer to pay, though my wife and I share everything so really we just take turns paying for things with OUR money. However when I was dating I preferred to pay because that's how I was raised and I enjoy it. I didn't pay for women who demanded it, or made a big deal out of things if they had to cover a portion of the date. No go for me. I don;t like needy expectant mooch's..male or female. | /r/MensRights | 02/10/13 12:45 AM
