Who is expecting you to endanger your life? If you feel like you need to protect this person, then by all means, do. If you are afraid of your SO wanting to have quality of life in the event that you're ever disabled for any reason, leave her. If the same happened because you got in a car accident, would you expect her to spend her life caring for you? Or a disease? Is it somehow her fault because she was there during the attack? She doesn't owe the guy anything.

That sounds a lot more like a "before" question than an "after" question. If you were willing to do it in the first place, you clearly did it for the good of the person, not for the expected reward. And if you DID do it for the expected reward/compensation then you don't deserve to be taken care of anyway. Don't sacrifice yourself for someone that you don't want the best for - the expectation is just selfish.

Therein seems to be my problem. You say this sub is an open ground; I believe that, but the ground I've seen show up in my feed is slathered with feces. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and see whether I get sick of this sub or banned from the other first.

Found what I was looking for; excuse my initial hostility, I just get easily angered when I see people spreading hate under the guise of support (a bit hypocritical, I know). Compare to the sub MensLib if you want to see the difference. Ironically, the automod didn't want me linking that.

I said nothing of feminism. I agree that the current trendy version of feminism is toxic. But as I said to another in this thread, take a gander through some of the recent replies in other threads. There is rampant anti-woman, borderline hate speech being flung like shit from a tree. I did find a male-positive sub though, so silver lining.

Could've fooled me. Have you taken a moment to read through the replies on some of these threads?

Cool your jets, Rambo. I'm circumcised and anti-circ as well. There's more to life than your penis, and certainly plenty for men to lift each other up about. That's the whole reason I went looking for this trash-heap of a sub.

"A group of women did this thing in the past that I don't like, so now I am justified for doing it!" - You, 2018.

Wow, that is an oddly extremely specific rampage you went on there. Righteous fury, friend, but I fail to see how this addresses the issue I am facing. Puppies are cute, but have nothing to do with uplifting men - quite similarly to this sub.

If I was in this situation I would want my wife to "leave" me. I'd want her to still visit me sometimes, and of course bring our kids to see me, but if I willingly sacrificed myself so she could live a full life, why would I then wish her to sacrifice herself and not live a full life? Seems counter-intuitive. Also seems like everyone in this sub is quick to jump on the most aggressive anti-woman response possible. Ya'll are selfish as hell.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
