“What females were or were not allowed to do with the bodies” is not my definition of abortion. It’s offered as perspective. Morality aside, the abortion issue was, undeniably, immediately consequential to half the voting population, and at the forefront of both campaigns. Then there was the matter of the limited timeframe the democratic candidate had to campaign, not to mention the candidates’ race and gender. That the party didn’t do more to woo men using this particular policy priority that m…

The golden rule is treating others the way one would want to be treated. If I posted a comment as obtuse as I find yours to be, I would want someone to sincerely disabuse me of my embarrassingly dumb take on an otherwise neutral idea. You seem like a great friend. First step in exercising emotional intelligence is to determine what the situation calls for… context is everything. If an acquaintance starts opening up about childhood trauma at a party, they’re “trauma dumping” and that’s generally “not your monkey, not your circus.” Someone opening up in an intimate setting likely wants to share more; sometimes they share that something happened to them but don’t elaborate, to which a good response is “I’m down to talk about it …

Curious how charges and conviction rates compare for this type of domestic violence. That humans kill one another isn’t revelatory…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
