As a kid, growing up I had a distant father, mainly because he had work at a rural place and my mum wanted me to study in a town, so I saw my dad only on weekends and extended holidays. I'd like to know how you arrived at the 85% estimate? Even if it's true it's still a large number of betas. That's just implausible. Being an alpha is a state of being, be it mental or physical. Not everybody who lifts is necessarily a good alpha. I like your dog analogy. Indeed women like men who are submissive in the long term.

Seconded. My ex-roommate and I are big fans of pot. Both of us used to get high daily yet he had the discipline to carry on and I didn't. I guess when you lack discipline the best thing to do is quit that thing which is bringing you down.
