I think competition is the core of human existence. We constantly seek to differentiate ourselves from others because the construction of an identity needs otherness. ​ What we should not aspire to, is to make competition the only source of meaning in life. Building a relationship needs altruism and deep empathy. When we make friends, we stop competing and start evolving in company. ​ ​ ​
