It doesn't matter to most. What does matter is that you care about what you have. So keep it clean and free from rubbish, like you would your clothes, home, body, etc. To show that you have respect for things. The people who care about the price tags on things have different expectations - which is fine - but there are many who are looking for a good, respectful person to be with, not just a fancy car to share.

The worlds a worrying place, I'm sorry if you've been made to feel the way I described.

The cold approach thing always has a level of creepy. Even in bars and clubs where it can sort of be expected. I'd be really pissed off if someone did it to me in the street when I'm just trying to go about my day. Also, "that's just how women are" - you make us sound like an alien species who are all the same. Not cool. ~ Z's girlfriend If you won't listen to a guy in a happy relationship, maybe you'll listen to the incredible woman who found him after he dropped all the crappy tricks - Zippy

All I'm saying, is I'm getting real creep vibes from your end of this story. You said yourself she was giving you "attitude" and "stuck up vibes", people don't do that if they're comfortable. She may not have been "terrified", as you say, but if she thought the interaction went well she would have messaged you back. Don't need a masters in psychology to figure that out, neither do I need one to know that if you knew it was a positive exchange, you wouldn't be so defensive, and would be having a …

Sorry bud, but no. I've had conversations about these exact situations with my sisters, female friends and partners over the years and every time they have said they will keep the conversation pleasant deliberately in case the guy turns out to be the kind to take what he wants. The poor woman was probably trying to keep you sweet and get somewhere safe before you dragged her off somewhere. Sorry to put it so bluntly dude, but this ain't how you make a woman feel comfortable with you. If a woman …

The only way I can describe it is painfully cliche, it's like a spark or a click. Its more than just a conversation, both people are still being themselves, but there is and extra something underneath that, and that extra thing can't be forced. Obviously this doesn't always lead to a great relationship, and meaningful connections can be made the long way, but if you're looking for the connection in a first/blind date environment, then yes it is possible, it's just not very common.

Saying "hi, how are you?" is genuinely the best pick up line I've ever used. Waaay better than trying to trick someone into liking me with a fake persona, or being cringey "funny".

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
