Hmm get a book that is in line with your job( or shares concepts) and may improve and better the actual Business. Show your boss and explain how reading this book will be better for you in doing your job and make his business improve You get to improve yourself and show your boss that you are a very valuable employee.

Can't advise on the lifting bit as I have always been naturally fit and watched my diet. However I can tell u that its tough at first and gets better in time. Always ask yourself what's the worst thing that can happen if I do it and what happens if I don't? Sleep less and don't waste time. Educate yourself. Read books and improve your vocabulary. Become a better person and always look forward

Over and above the great advice already given - Time and effort. Its taken you 28 years to become the man you currently are. Its going to take you some time to change. You have to have the end goal in sight and never ever give up. Its taken me 10 years to man up and tell my wife what I want and why I want it. You can do it just hang in there and never give up.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
