You're basically saying that women (who right now are provided with money for having a job like everyone else) should exclusively allow men who give them the most money to have sex (that's gold digging in nice words)...are you aware that's exactly how african mafia states run ? We're talking about the most violent regimes on earth. And that is because most of the male population there is ignored by women (at a much lower level of wealth compared to our western standards of course)due to them app…

I don't understand what you mean by exclusivity, when a man wants to date (not hookup) he should expect for the woman to also want that, not for her to use him like a fuckbuddy, exclusivity when both are looking for a partner is literally the baseline to build ANYTHING at all. And it goes for both parties. Women being encouraged to cheat would literally make dating impossible. And no, human women were not historically fucking around with many men, that's a recent thing. The male sex has always b…

You got completely derailed... I did not say it's 5% of men blabla as a fact and made sure i clarified it...i did say this was an exaggerated figure, however you willingly ignore settling, which is HUGE, especially among women. Men do not have draconian standards, I'm a man with a bunch of men friends and women friends and tbh men have much MUCH lower standards even for serious dating, even lower than a lot of women's one night stand standards, it goes beyond the risk of sex that you brought up …

It's just an example because this one has been reliably polled but it's true for most of the western anglosphere

Honestly hookups and social media are blending into one another to the point it becomes unavoidable to at least be imprinted with some of the core issues they carry, that's why i tend to agree with the OP.

They're called landmine girls. They will only damage you, you cannot fix people who make their issues a personality and a style.

The average woman in the western anglosaxon sphere has it waaaay easier to get dates and save money. That's it. Everyone's chances to get stable loving partners and relationships have equally been demolished by hookup culture and extremist takes both ways. It's never been that complicated to make sure a relationship will last.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 05:34 PM

Ironically recent polls in London have shown women now have more superficial tastes than men in dating and it's most likely due to dating apps conditioning them like pavlovian reflex training.

We're getting carried away here, i never said it wasn't ok to be more selective... Key word is more. We're talking about standards that are absolutely insane, like single percentage of the male population at most, while i'm aware you likely exaggerated it on purpose that's still not normal and definitely not purely evolution based. Hence why i do see it as a problem to be exclusively accepting what is considered the ideal fantasy man It's like if men refused to sleep with 90% of women to mirror …

Yeah i like pretty big ones too but a life with a sister and a couple gfs saying it hurts and ages like milk (appropriate lol) made me like the huge ones much less. Plus a woman can improve her butt but not her boobs, it's more fair to them x)

Some do, i had to learn it the hard way, but if you have "game" or personality, given a proper opportunity to showcase that (groups work well for that) you can punch significantly above your class, some people are just naturally that good with others. But it is quite a bit rarer than the opposite i have to admit.

That's not true at all and i can prove it with my own self. I was ugly because i didn't care about my hairstyle, clothes, posture, smell etc. Then female friends gave me some advice on what to do or not do and a year later i was already getting compliments weekly on my cared for hair, fitter frame, nicer glasses, perfume etc. It absolutely makes a massive difference to take care of yourself even though it requires and investment of time, dedication and a little bit of money you could have used o…

I'm not sure i understood the whole message (english isn't my first language) but to be clear i didn't mean women must be virgins and that kind of macho bs... i meant many women especially under 25 see the incredibly easy sex and drown in it even if it ends up harming their social life, career, education, etc., seen it happen many times, and it's sad because i've had to watch guys who were into them progressively get disgusted and end up not confessing as those women would fuck a dozen guys a ye…

Isn't there a difference between making it the only acceptable kind of men and saying that's your ideal fantasy ? I don't see men going around saying bbl bimbos are the only women they'd date and it's hard to even find one type all men would like. The issue you're highlighting is that women tend to be way more categoric and selective... I've never witnessed any reasonable man go apeshit when rejected without snarky comments added. However I've seen both sexes ignore a no and keep pushing.

Because knowledge is power. Once you know what aspects of yourself can be improved you have that power, if you have no clue you stay there unable to improve anything because all you see is that nobody likes you (or so you think).

i see, well other than "violence against women" if it explicitly says for women only, and abortion for obvious reasons, none of those are gendered in my country, however the application of the law based on social construct might be, the text isn't though.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 03:43 PM

The risk of pissing a man off by not telling him what's wrong and lying instead is magnitudes greater than telling him you don't like him because you don't find him attractive. And if you want to go that way (which i didn't), she has interest in having you be more successful since you'd take out some competition for her by dating another woman, that woman would therefore not be competition to her anymore regarding another guy she might be in, this happens often within students circles where you …

Then dwelling on this measurement is only going to hurt you and will have no positive impact. You have to maximize what's good in you, however people who think like that struggle to find the good, even when they land a partner.

I've read this thread and tbh i have to (mostly) confirm what he's saying. Men want the true reasons of why women are mad/leaving when it happens. It's a simple yet age old difference in how men and women see this specific issue, it was already a well known thing in ancient Greece. In general men like to solution things pragmatically and women want more of a social support and non confrontational approach to problems. I would like SO MUCH for a woman to tell me exactly why she doesn't want me ev…

I would really like to know about those laws. As far as i know in most of the western world laws are extremely egalitarian and it's mostly social practice that can create discrimination. There are funny laws that are no longer used but exist (recently France remembered they had a XlXth century law that forbade women from wearing men's pants, obviously nobody cared about that law anymore) i'm not sure anyone is legally forbidden from being shirtless (yes ik clothing again, it's one of the main ma…

i think you both have some good arguments. For example i'm a guy who doesn't like massive honkers or extremely flat chests, i like average size. Same goes for women in wiener sizes in general i suppose... He does have a point that women seem to disproportionally prefer dating taller guys, as a tall guy i've felt that many time i was given unfairly positive bias because i'm tall, including outside of dating and exclusively from women. Now let's not say we don't all have general traits we tend to …

/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 11:39 AM

That's something i've noticed too : many women seem to think "the heavier the makeup the more i can hide my flaws"... Reality is yes makeup that hides a few flaws is great and attractive but immense majority of guys will vastly prefer light makeup so they don't feel like they're kissing drywall and that you're insecure around your own man. Girls you don't need to look like a kardashian for you to be pretty ok, only women think those are peak beauty, not men.

That's just untrue. Sure for some men this is the case but in the grand scheme of things power belongs to the one who chooses, and women are mostly the ones who get to pick between the guys that shoot their shot. This has evolved and been around since mating has appeared. The only cases where this is not true is when men have full authority to tell women who they can or can't marry. Nowadays it still leans towards women picking and men competing, it's a trend. If you look at a smaller scale howe…

No. I'd say it's actually because the generally well known "it's getting harder for a guy to enter a stable relationship because of hookup culture and lower female desire for kids" phenomenon is constantlyshoved under a rug when everyone knows it's a thing. Men say it happens, All it takes is saying yes and then you have to "do smth about it". but if you refuse to publically admit it exists you can create real hate from what was before just a disgruntled, disillusioned complaint. This hate is cr…

sadly yeah, especially in the western anglosphere, the women who are attractive, into family, not giving into the temptation of very easy sex that's handed on a silver platter to them, etc. are getting very rare, they realize it and become very picky, which is understandable, we'd probably all do the same, but it leads to young healthy guys being the ones who have to "settle" when this has historically been a more "old maiden" issue. Economy being what it is it also leads single moms to being fo…

Get this man a medal, that's the best summary i've ever seen of this situation. Same happens for very good looking divorced men in their 30s to 50s btw.

yup, the standards of attractive women in their 20s are getting so high in the west especially that th proportion of guys who can keep up gets ever smaller.

Well the thing is personality is not your "face value" in society, it's looks, the cover of the book. Low self esteem assumes that you have low faith in your cover as a book so there must be something better inside maybe...or worse you even start thinking even when digging there is no good so the other is either using you or desperate as you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 08:53 AM

You see it the wrong way, the thought process is "my looks aren't good enough to get someone so ig it's something else" Instead you see it as "my personality is so good i don't need looks" In moderation that's a good mindset but it's actually how you can start to get into arrogance territory. In a diagnosis that requires lack of self esteem (add, avpd, borderline etc) that's something professionals look for because having low self esteem explains lots of behaviors and start a self feeding cycle.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/24 08:47 AM

Well it just shows differences in local beauty standards. As a European guy i originally was very surprised to see what the "normal" body was to Americans because it was clearly what we consider fat here. So i guess i only like American women that are considered "fit" in America since it's the normal body here...in the same vein i see most Asian women from East Asia as too skinny and all i want to do is give them food because they look so hungry to me T-T

Ok while it is true that vastly more men have no options, there are also legions of women who don't, they're invisible to you just like "Joe Normie" is invisible to the women you think about. I've dealt with my fair share of absolutely desperate women, especially online, and let me tell you it's a pain to show any kind of kindness and empathy and then have to reject or avoid them because they instantly cling to you since you're the first guy to ever interact with them. Hot men and women are more…

it's actually the opposite because it's a common trait used to diagnose lack of self esteem by psychologists and psychiatrists.

It's not baseless because that's a *perception* based mostly on the fact that you're good looking, not the fact that they know you *are* smarter etc... So looks in those cases are doing the hard work so you don't have to have "game" or personality or be very smart. This is easy to check, people who look very good in school were often deemed "disapointing" when they ended up being average or less in class, and people who were considered pretty ugly were "positive surprises" when they did ok or be…

I'm sorry but it's not arrogant to think "i'm ugly so it's definitely not my looks that got me a partner"...

I agree, it's just a general fact that women (and generally the female sex of most species) are the selector and in the end have more power in the mating game. HOWEVER We no longer live like that and now people try to get partners year round for companionship mostly. Having been both on the ugly invisible and good looking popular sides at different points i have to play devil's advocate : It's very hard to sort out the "good ones" when the whole trick in dating is lying to appear better. The mor…

I've learned one way of bearing "guess" ppl at their own game over the years, it's basically like pushing the joke too far (like gay jokes with the homies) and seeing at what point they drop the act and feel too cringed to continue playing. Sadly most of the girls it works on are already red flags. Basically you play her flirt back in a very obvious and pretend naive way, basically mirror her so she's faced with her own toxic game (without having toxic intents yourself, please), important to hav…

I get what both of you mean and you've got confidence without being toxic it's great and refreshing... They're right in most women will do the same as you and by default are your competition since the larger pool (most women) compete for the smaller pool (commited attractive men), it's a label more than a mindset. It's similar to buying the second best phone that does 90% of what the flagship does but that nobody wants because it's not The One but the second one, even if that's still a very high…
