1	Poll: Would you switch genders if you could, given the current state of society? In order to be a guy, your brain would have to change extensively. Your "self", your identity, would be different. In one way it would mean personal extinction. There's a lot more to being male or female than genitalia, build etc. I'm Intersexed, and one of the few who are dichogamous, so I have some personal experience of being a woman with a masculinised body. 1	Why boys are turning into girls Some humans are dichogamous (ie get a "natural sex change"), but it's rare. Usually it's due to either 5alpha-reductase-2 deficiency (5alpha-RD-2) or 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-3 deficiency (17beta-HSD-3). Either of these two syndromes cause someone who looks simewhat, mostly or completely female at birth to masculinise, and look somewhat, mostly or completely male later. OH yes, I'm not a doctor either, But I have been called in by medical professors to teach this stuff to 3rd year med students, as I'm a specialist in the area. You don't have to know very much to know more than non-specialists though. Men produce on average 40-60 times as much Testosterone as women. Three times the average, while it may be advantageous, is not in the male range.
