No, my fucking point from the beginning was that obesity is always because of nutrition. Yes, sometimes there are compounding factors or things that make it harder to stick to a reasonable diet. But there is no physiological condition that makes you obese without recourse. Period.

Muscle mass: Absolutely, but I never claimed it doesn't affect how much you burn. My comment on metabolic rate was obviously meant as ceteris paribus Metabolic rate: for 99.x% of people this will differ by significantly less than 10% Access to quality food: this is just calories Mental health: this is also just calories. Yes, it can make it vastly harder to stick to a diet, but in the end this doesn't change how the diet affects you Age: Sure, but again you won't be obese if you eat reasonably M…

And literally all of those things can be controlled with diet, unless your body is literally incapable of gaining nutrients because of digestive issues. But then you'll be too skinny, not obese. educate yourself Maybe you should.

I'd argue that most people try to overcomplicate some not so complex things.

Yeah no shit, but then it's not a metabolic disorder causing obesity.

Yeah, starvation also isn't the issue.

To quote myself: "the body cannot disable thermodynamics" Yeah, your metabolism may be slower, but it can't be so slow as to create energy out of thin air.

The body cannot disable thermodynamics. Certain conditions can fuck the metabolism up, but that won't make you medically obese. It just makes it harder to not be overweight.

No BMI is useless. Please don't use it. Even bone density makes a big difference. No, BMI is a very valuable statistical tool. Bone density in individuals does absolutely not make a big enough difference to significantly skew the data. The skeleton is roughly 15% of your body weight (more if you're very skinny, less if you carry more mass) and bone density differences outside of disorders will not make up more than roughly 20%; so in normal cases it would skew your BMI by about 3% in either way.…

If you're actually jacked enough to distort your BMI, then you're a small enough minority that you don't matter, statistically. As I said: yeah, you can get jacked enough to distort your BMI, but chances are at 5'11" and 225 you also carry a decent amount of fat around.

That's a BMI of 21.8. If you think that's silly shredded, you may need to spend time outside of the US

Oh, absolutely. I'm just arguing for the sake of due process, because no matter how heinous the crime, the upholding of the legal system is more important.

The woman should be put away for a long time. However, there is a reason that unlawfully obtained evidence counts for nothing and this must be upheld. Not doing so would set a very, very dangerous precedent.

The pay gap is somethint of a myth anyway. A man and a woman in the same cirumstances are within single digit percentages in terms of pay. In certain us cities women under same cicrumstances make more. As such, women do not get paid less for the same work. They do, however, usually work lower salary jobs (the whole ceo thing). Is this societal or biological? I'd wager a guess that it is to a large part societal. However, I do not agree that, if there were no gender roles, there would be exactly …

As someone with actual ADHD: I have an attention span of roughly 2-5 seconds without medication. I am incapable of actually doing anything productively. It does get prescribed too often for bullshit, but for the people that actually do need it (like me) it's a godsend. I'm not growing anymore (22 years old), so it's not really critical. But if I could've used that stuff from 17 onwards I'd have happily done so.
